As a big Food Network fan, visiting Paula Deen's Family Kitchen while sightseeing in Nashville was a must do! This place was awesome, providing good old fashion southern food & hospitality. Our server was friendly & very attentive. The light & airy dining room was huge, beautifully decorated with a soaring high ceiling & chandeliers. The enormous windows provided a great water & greenery view too. The oversized booths & tables, were large enough for eight or more to sit together. The menu is family style, where dishes (with unlimited refills) are passed & shared by the whole table. Of course country music was playing in the background. We ordered "The Albany", which consisted of divine Cheddar Bacon Biscuits, two "home" dishes, four sides & dessert. We choose (from a list of eight), the Fried Chicken & Chicken Fried Steak with a rich white cream gravy. These were delicious - very crispy & juicy. For the sides we choose the Creamed Potatoes, Baked Mac & Cheese, Corn on the Cob & BBQ Baked Beans. (From a list of thirteen.) The sides didn't quite hit the mark, the potatoes were too creamy for my liking & the Baked Mac & Cheese & Corn on the Cob needed a lot more seasoning. The Baked Beans were wonderful, however, I just didn't enjoy the green peppers that were in the dish. We brought our desserts home & had a Chocolate Brownie & Peach Cobbler later that night - they were yummy. Go hungry & enjoy! Be sure to stop by the gift shop, it's right there next to the restaurant. The shop sells many products from the Paula Deen line, including her signed cookbooks. Paula Deen will be there in person on 12/7/24 for a book signing.

If I could give them -10 stars I would! I booked a 4 pm dinner reservation for Sunday 10/13 at least 30 days ago. I was going to book the General Jackson River boat dinner and cruise, but my family wanted go enjoy some nice Southern food and I heard the dinner cruise was just okay. We were staying at the Hyatt Grand on Broadway and Paula Deen's was a 38 dollar Uber ride for dinner. Upon arrival the place looked charming and the store was cute. We were seated at 4 pm as reserved at a booth close to the beginning of the dining hall. Immediately I went to use the ladies room. The first stall had a mess of unflushed poop. Was grossed out, and went to next stall. I was planning on telling the server that the bathroom needed attention. I returned to the table and the server came to take our order. The whole reason we chose Paula Deens was to get the meatloaf and pot roast. The waiter tells us no meatloaf or pot roast, sold out. It's 4 pm on a Sunday! I said you are kidding right? We came all the way from downtown Broadway for your meal and you don't have the 2 items we want? I asked for the manager as how can a restaurant that has 7 meat choices for dinner be out of 2 at 4 pm on a Sunday? That is just the beginning of the dinner rush. The manager takes a good 10 minutes to come to us. Prior to coming to our table, I see him wander back and forth from the kitchen to dining room. He's fist bumping employees as they enter the kitchen. Now he approaches our table and he's the manager. I tell him how can the restaurant be out of 2 meats out of their 7 choices at 4 pm on a Sunday? His response- our sales are up 50% that's how. What type of a response is this? The proper answer is POOR management and making sure your restaurant is stocked on what I'm sure is a big day for this restaurant. 4 PM is the start of the dinner rush, I didn't come at 8 pm at night. I told him well I'm glad I made a reservation 30 days ago and wasted a 38 Uber drive there and now I have to Uber back to hotel and figure out diner. He could care less. Sad management and sad planning! We ended up at another restaurant and dropped 350 there plus tipped another 70.. I will never give this restaurant or company 1 cent of my money! I wish I could tell Paula Deen herself what a dump Nashville location is and how much of a true AHOLE her running manager is!

I live in the area and would not come back here. We had some family in town and took them here. The service was good and the restaurant itself was beautiful. It was easy to make a reservation. I feel like I am taking points away for the food. The Blueberry Lemonade and Strawberry Lemonade were a bit sour. My kids wouldn't drink the Strawberry Lemonade. The Blueberry Lemonade was a bit too sour for me. I really liked the Georgia Peach Tea. The biscuits were fine. They were very buttery and cheesy but just a bit too sour for me. Now onto the main courses. We got the catfish and the meatloaf. The catfish was really good. It was probably one of my favorite things we ordered. It was really flavorful and I really liked the sauce. I also loved the mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes were my favorite thing from the entire meal. The meatloaf was not good. It seemed like really low quality meat. There were weird bones when I was eating it that I had to spit out. Way too much sweet ketchup sauce. Just not good. Macaroni and cheese was fine. Nothing wrong with it but nothing memorable either. Coleslaw was fine. It was fresh. I liked the Broccoli Casserole but I wish they broccoli pieces were smaller. There were some huge pieces that you had to try and chew through. Dessert, I got the peach cobbler which I really didn't like. It was watery and not good. I tried my son's chocolate ooey gooey cake which was basically a brownie which was really tasty. The server also brought me the vanilla ooey gooey cake for no additional cost. That was one of my favorite thing of the night, so delicious. All in all, it was a decent meal but it was very expensive. The fact that one of the main dishes had the bones really was unappetizing. I think our meal was close to $200 for the 6 of us (including 2 kids). Also, our kids did not eat anything here which was disappointing. They should consider possibly adding a small kids menu. I am not rushing back.

If you have a big appetite then you are more than recommended to eat here!I only gave it 3 stars because I felt that most if the sides were bland. Also, this is all you can eat and you can't take home leftovers! So be mindful of what you order and how much I saw a lot of waste on other tables. The best things we ate were the proteins, the fried chicken was legit and lord I could come back for just the biscuits! Our waitress was really sweet and so was the manager. The restaurant itself was clean and of course, very representative of Paula herself. The good news was you can take the desserts home if you're too stuffed which was what we did. I did enjoy the ooey gooey butter cake and it warmed up nicely!

We came out to Nashville for my friend's daughter's 21st birthday. We decided to take a trip out to see the Opry because my husband had never been and she wanted to hit up the mall. The server was amazing but I didn't recall his name. It was clean and beautiful inside of the restaurant. Fried chicken was great and ribs were fall off the bone. Everything else was pretty bland. That is the only reason for the 3 stars.

Southern Comfort food! Brought back memories of her old show! Family style which worked for us! Chose fried chicken and ribs with 4 sides! Liked the chicken and slaw the best! Ribs were too sweet. Best dessert was the chocolate butter cake, more like a brownie!

Just okay. The place wasn't very busy and it took longer than expected for food to arrive. With a limited family style meal, I would have expected more preparation. We enjoyed the fried okra, fried chicken, biscuits, and the meatloaf. However the dumplings were not good, the collard greens were really salty. We had a vegetarian friend with us and even the vegetable sides had bacon. It's too bad they don't allow boxes even if you didn't request seconds. There was so much food that went to waste.

Building is very pretty. There is a gift shop by the entrance with everything for the kitchen, all very nice. The cocktails are an over sweetened fruit flavored mix with a drop of alcohol. The food was the worst steam table slop I could not wish for my worst enemy. This is an absolute waste of time and money. Since this is a tourist spot, I can only feel sorry for those people on a tight budget that came here with high expectations. I have been twice to the Savanah location where the food is actually good. Go elsewhere. There is plenty of great food here in Nashville.

Fist time in Tennessee and Nashville and we found ourselves at Paula Deen's cause who doesn't love comfort food and butter right? There was 7 of us and we were able to be sat immediately which was great. The interior decor is lovely, very rich southern grandmas house vibes. The server was very attentive and always there to give us refills. The food was delicious! We got the ribs and they were the most tender I've ever had, just fall off the bone. After we finished eating we spent plenty of time in the gift shop! Such a fun experience! The only reason for the 3 stars is their policy is that they don't allow you to take leftovers because their sides and entrees are unlimited refills so I think this is to deter people from refilling right before they leave but this causes a HUGE food waste. We asked the waiter if they give this food away or if the staff gets to at least eat it and he said no they throw it all away. Not to mention the fact that this is food we PAID for just getting thrown away. I probably wouldn't eat here again just on that principle alone which is such a shame. I hope they consider changing this

To start with, waiting for an hour when there were lots of open tables. Once we were seated, we waited for 20 minutes before we were served biscuits and a drink. Then when we were ready to order 3 of the 7 items were out and not available. We waited another 20 minutes before our meals came. The chicken were the cheapest cuts, the dumplings were doughy, we waited another 20 minutes to get the fried okra, the macaroni and cheese was cool as well as grainy. To top it off we were served terrible banana pudding. This is not what I think Paula Deen would be serving to anybody. Super disappointed! The staff was trying but it was just a hot mess. So for all that then we were charged $27.99 per person. Not again!
