Parson's Chicken & Fish - Lincoln Park

Went here with a friend on a weeknight. Were given the option to sit inside or outside, so we opted for outside and were put at a table next to two other people.Our server was funny and kind - hard to explain but made a normal night fun by being a great server.We tried a slew of chicken nuggets, various sauces, French fries, and another item she recommended. Everything was good.They have all sorts of drinks, but my friend got a cocktail, I got a beer, and then I got a Diet Coke/Coke Zero. Fun atmosphere and although it gets busy at times, it seems to move at a decent speed.Pro-Tip: If you're a smaller party be open to doing the paired up picnic tables outside. Makes for more fun being paired with random people.

After my first visit to Parson's, I wanted to take the restaurant home to Kansas City.This place pushes all the buttons: tasty food, quick service and friendly staff. All for affordable prices.Although there were many things that caught my eye on the menu, I ordered the Hot Chicken Nuggets, based on my daughter's recommendation. It was large meaty nuggets with just the right amount of kick. Loved the pickles that accompany it.Although I had heard great things about the Mac & Cheese, I ordered the Mustard Potato Salad. It was a unique recipe worth a try.Their fries are perfectly cook, and served with your choice of sauces.It was a great introduction to Parson's and I can't wait to try it again and dine outside.

My first meal in Chicago was at Parson's Chicken and Fish, and it was such a treat. I love the ambiance of this place. It's perfect for either indoor or outdoor dining, with plenty of room for both small and large parties. Usually, I like to make reservations when dining out, but I walked in and was seated immediately by the host.While seated, my server, who was very helpful, explained the menu in detail. Being a southern girl, I opted for the Rare Tea Cellar Iced Tea, which is brewed in-house. I asked for mine to be sweetened, and I truly enjoyed it.For my entrée, I chose the Parson's Big Dipper Platter, which includes fries, hush puppies, chicken nuggets, shrimp, and pickles. Keep in mind that the portion is generous and can be shared between two people. The platter also includes several sauces: barbecue, honey mustard, ranch, blue cheese, ketchup, radish, and tartar.The open concept of the indoor seating allows you to watch the cooks preparing the food.My overall experience here was pleasant, and I'd recommend adding it to your list when visiting Chicago!

Parson's Chicken and Fish is the chicken version of Happy Camper essentially. Good drinks, fun patio vibes. I'm definitely going to bring Tito next time, I felt guilty leaving him at home after seeing everyone with their dogs. The Spicy Dill Marg was not very dilly, but was more savory than your typical Marg. The frozen John Daly went down almost too quick and I love when I'm able to order a cider and not have it be Angry Orchard (they have Right Bee). My only feedback is the half chicken is more like a quarter chicken. I thought half of a Costco rotisserie was gonna come out. Either way the chicken that we did have was juicy, tender and well seasoned.

Upping my stars on Parson's Chicken & Fish as I've come back here a few times since my review and have to say that the burger continues to be one of the best items on their menu. It is a double patty smash burger - that is truly smashed. The patties are juicy, the cheese melted perfectly and the bun a perfect softness to support all the great flavors.I've always had great service here too - the bartenders are always very friendly, answer all my questions and make just the right amount of small talk during my time.

This is our third time to a Parson's and I am sad to report they have repeatedly been inconsistent with their food. The staff is always friendly and great, but one time the breading on the chicken was so overdone it was hard to break through to get to the chicken, and the other time the bun must have stayed in the toaster too long and was stiff. If you are a beer drinker the standard pour size for draft here is 12 oz. I fondly remember the Parson's Burger and the Parson's Buffalo Poutine. The fries have that extra crunch on the outside making them one of the best things on the menu. We also were influenced by our neighboring diners to order the side of pickles ($3), which is a great addition because they complement everything on the menu. You cannot beat the amazing vibe with the outdoor picnic benches and the gravel patio with red and white striped umbrellas throughout. Everyone is happy and here for a good time. Always make a reservation online because it is unlikely they won't be busy and have a line!

This place has a fun ambiance, with an outdoor patio and low key vibe. The service was okay - nothing crazy. The chicken sandwich was pretty good - chicken was cooked very well and was crispy and juicy but not particularly hot. Not a real nashville chicken sandwich but would come back again for the vibes and to hang out while eating chicken and fries

This was SO GOOD! We came for brunch and sat outside on a gorgeous day, and felt miles from the city while also staying close to home. The fried chicken was juicy and not greasy, with a perfect crispiness. The slaw was a perfect compliment to their house hot sauces. Skip the hushpuppies- too dry- and go for the fries. The ranch was some of the freshest i have ever had - definitely get if youre going for a spicy chicken or layering on the hot sauce. Bring your dogs, babies, fam and friends and load up on the chicken!!

I've eaten here before and always had a good experience but my family threw us a baby shower here last weekend and just wanted to give the staff, venue, food, all of the above a huge shout out! Awesome area for an event, open air experience with the garage doors open, private bar, picnic table set up. The wait staff was awesome (so friendly and helpful and on top of things) and the food as always was amazing. Would recommend as a dinner spot or an event spot!

We had a baby shower at Parsons on Sunday in their private party room. I do not have enough words to describe how fantastic everything was for the event.Merideth/Merium (so sorry, but I cannot remember her exact name(she was petite, had dark hair, and had the sweetest personality). She and her team members went above and beyond to give 5-star service in every aspect of hospitality. The food, drinks, and ambiance were of the utmost perfection! Again, the team went way above and beyond to provide outstanding service.HIGHLY RECOMMEND PARSONS!
