I first became aware of this fine establishment from one of our very own Elites. And on Emmett's recommendation alone, I gave this Iranian restaurant a spin. Now my experience has been in San Diego (25 years) that most Iranian restaurants get either the protein right and the rice wrong, or vice versa. Here we happily get BOTH with a true value that is easy on your wallet.A Mom & Pop with Junior and Big Brother at the ready for extra close service to your every whim, i.e. More of this and of that, etc. All requests are greeted with a happy welcoming smile. Only been open for a few weeks these good folks have placed everything they have on this restaurant and it shows. See Photos. Will CERTAINLY return

I am a fan of Paradise Kabob! I was intending to eat at the Indian buffet in the same strip mall, but it was closed for remodeling, so I decided to give Paradise a try. Not disappointed!I ordered the Chicken Kabob plate, which came with a large serving of rice, a small salad, and a couple of grilled veggies. Everything tasted fresh and healthy. The owners were very friendly, and the ambiance was casual as a lunch place really should.Next time I have a hankering for Persian food, I know where to go!

Paradise Kabob has taken over the former space of Pauly's Pizza Joint which has moved to an end corner suite in the Miracrest Plaza that used to house a Subway. The words 'Persian Kitchen' hung beneath the marquee sign so I stopped in recently to check out this new Middle Eastern cuisine eatery. There were about half a dozen tables for dine-in seating. A menu screen hung on a wall to the left of the service counter, but it was easier to look at one of the take-out sheets.Appetizers and wrap sandwiches were listed on one side while the other side featured entrees, salads, and specialty stews. The last category looked intriguing, however my taste buds weren't adventurous enough. The Kabob Mix Plate #2 was my choice. Shish kabob and boneless chicken kabob were the proteins that were served with basmati rice, grilled tomato, onion, parsley, and a salad. The cubes of chicken were some of the juiciest I have tasted at any restaurant so kudos to the chef. I preferred that meat over the filet mignon chunks which was probably a first for me. What I would like to have seen for this combo was less rice and the addition of a spread like hummus or baba ghanoush with some pita bread. That would have elevated this plate to match the $27 price tag. The service from the staff was fine. The business will need to advertise to let the public know they are operating now because this plaza has numerous dining choices, not to mention competition from other spots along Miramar Rd.

One of our best dining experiences! The food quality was excellent, reminiscent of homemade cuisine. The owners are welcoming and friendly; the lady took our order, and our lunch was ready in just a few minutes. Their appetizers are delicious - we tried the samosas, which were small, and good size, spicy, and utterly yummy! The kebab dish was superb, melting in our mouths with incredible flavor. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in San Diego!

The kidney bean dish I had gave me the runs and was not what I expected... the salad with feta was literally sprinkled with minimal feta and it was just the store bought Athenos (they showed me when I asked where is the feta)... I'd have expected more larger pieces like m off the feta block maybe from a Mediterranean market nearby. I want to support local and they were trying. A- for effort and c for my dish... Definitely should have just stuck with a kebab.

Delicious spot for Persian food in Miramar with great portions for the price. I highly recommend getting the lunch special, which is a Koobideh Kabob (ground sirloin) wrap that comes with a drink!

Here for the first time. Run by a very friendly family. They know how to treat customers. Food was excellent. As a matter of fact still eating but stopped to write this review because new small businesses need reviews in hopes of others try it. Come in and try it I promise you will be satisfied.

Love this place! Great and authentic Persian food. This place is all about home made quality and taste. The super delicious burger is a MUST TRY! Salads and veggie eggplant dip (Kashk e bademjan) are so tasty!!! And the garlic sauce is amazing... I'm glad I found the place to order all my future parties food!!! The great atmosphere and welcoming attitude of the owners are indeed the cherry on top!

I tried their ground beef and chicken chunk kabobs and liked them both. The Chicken was breast meat and surprisingly still juicy so they didn't overcook them. The plate of rice, salad, grilled veg were all good. I wish they would add a bit of hummus, that would make it perfect.
