This is a fairly intimate bar tucked upstairs of Biang Biang Noodles in Capitol Hill. This setup somewhat resembles Phocific Standard Time, a bar located upstairs of the Pho Bac downtown location. I went here on a Thursday night around 7:30pm, and it was not too busy. We were able to walk right in to one of the tables, as we were a party of 2. If it is even less busy, we probably would have gotten the bar seats, but the table we got does offer good views of the front of the bar.We tried the following cocktails:Pink Moonlight - one of the more popular drinks, gin-based. I love the fragrant lavender and the aesthetics - full of bubbles and a burning rosemary as the "cherry on top."Dragon's Breath - I love the smokiness and the show you get when they present the drink to you. I tasted more of the whiskey than the hojicha, but the smokiness enhances the drink. This is one of the more expensive drinks but one of the stronger ones for sure.Lychee Blossom - fairly easy to drink as it is fruity and fairly sweet. There is actual lychee and it is a gin-based drink too.Iron Buddha Tea "Latte" - this is a twist as there is rum and pineapple, so it is a fusion of tropical flavors and Asian inspired flavors. I love the composition of the drink overall.Service is fairly good as water refills were present and they brought up the drinks in a timely manner. There is also tea served in a pretty dish-like cup at the very end. Overall, I am a fan of this place, and I am glad to see more Asian inspired cocktail bars in Seattle!

This spot gained a lot of attention but I didn't think it was really worth the hype. Don't get me wrong, the ambiance is nice and the drinks were good, but there wasn't anything that special about it and they also have a policy where every person has to order two items which is a bit absurd to me. I feel like most people I know including myself enjoy getting a single drink and that's it - but they required us to get two items each. The only non-alcoholic option was a $14 iced tea which at that point you might as well just spend a couple more dollars and get another cocktail. You can also get food, but those options were limited, small, and not very good. The lychee blossom drink I got was good though - strong, sweet, and did the job. We were also seated at a pretty cramped group of tables squished together. I think the decorations were nice and the ambiance is cool if you're with just one other person, but otherwise I probably wouldn't come back. Now, if they somehow incorporated some of the food from Biang Biang downstairs into the food options that would be a different story.

Paper Fan deserves 5 stars for the drinks, ambiance, aesthetic, and service! My boyfriend and I enjoyed it so much that we went in two nights in a row. If you are in Seattle, you definitely need to stop by (make sure to make a reservation tho, they are pretty busy/seem to get booked pretty quickly)! Similar to a speakeasy, the space feels more intimate than a regular bar as it's tucked away upstairs of Biang Biang noodles. It's the perfect place to grab a drink (or 4 lol) with friends or a date. We tried 8 drinks on their menu and thoroughly enjoyed each of them, the flavor profiles reminded us of home! As busy and hectic as the bar seemed, Sita, Mini, and Alex made us feel so welcomed and even took the time to talk with us while preparing each drink. We will definitely be back whenever we're back in the city! We loved the Paper Fan!!

First of all, love the concept and the commitment. Everything is on brand and paid homage to the Asian culture. They gave me a fan while enjoying their drinkTheir cocktails are also unique takes on Asian tea which I found very admirable. The alcohol level is alright but the taste is definitely one of the most unique bar in Seattle

I visited Paper Fan on a Saturday night and I would highly recommend getting a reservation as this place is smaller and fills up on the weekend! I loved the overall aesthetic of this speakeasy with the lights and decor. They also played good music but it wasn't very loud, we were even questioning if it was biang biang's music downstairs or not. Our waitress asked if we had been here before and gave us a comprehensive rundown of the menu!! I love that she recommended drinks that "go down easy" and I ordered the bamboo grove as she suggested. It contained gin, matcha, and yuzu and was light and refreshing! Expect to pay $20+ for any drink, but luckily I loved mine! My brother ordered a sipping shot and it was SO strong. But it came in such a pretty glass and it isn't something you can find anywhere so it was cool for the experience. This place is definitely meant for parties of 2 since most tables were set up that way. It is a small space so I feel like there's only so much they can do.

Paper Fan Cocktail Bar is a unique speakeasy bar located upstairs in Baing Biang Noodle. My friend and I went here on a Wednesday afternoon and luckily it wasn't too busy. I do recommend booking a reservation as the space is quite small so it may fill up quickly. The ambiance was lively. From the Asian decor to the neon lights. There was nothing quite like it! The staff were also very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. They had amazing recommendations and all of the drinks we ordered were delicious. I have never had a tea infused cocktail before so I gotta say, this set the standard high. I loved it so much.We ordered the Iron Buddha Tea "Latte", 601 Breeze, and the Bamboo Grove. I can't wait to come back and try more of their original tea infused cocktails! If you're looking for a great place for date night or a casual drink, I highly recommend coming to Paper Fan!

Paper Fan is cute speakeasy cocktail bar hidden away on the second floor of Biang Biang Noodles, offering Asian inspired drinks infused with tea.We tried the Pink Moonlight and Breeze cocktails. The Pink Moonlight came with a lavender bubble, but my favorite drink was Breeze. The pandan flavor was strong unlike most pandan cocktails I've tried. To finish, we were served chrysanthemum tea which came in cute little koi cups.I love the decor of this place and how intimate it is. Reservations are recommended since this place is fairly small. I'd definitely recommend stopping by if you're ever in the area!

Cute little bar above Biang Biang Noodles! Drinks were delicious and I could taste all the different flavors and tea which made them so unique. Reasonably priced at around $15-20 each drink. The bar is small with only a few tables so definitely make reservation ahead of time

Small, intimate, and hidden away upstairs, this was a nice date spot for my boo and me. As a fan of my own culture, I got the baijiu-based Game of Ming and my partner got the Dragon's Breath, which came on a platter inside a smoked-up cloche. Both drinks were tasty but of course I especially loved mine with the jasmine green tea, sweet passionfruit, and foamy egg white. The only small disappoint we encountered we finding out the food options were so paltry. It would have been perfect to have had some popcorn chicken from Biang Biang go with our drinks. Unfortunately we couldn't bring food from downstairs, and neither did they have much of their own menu for bites. Hopefully that will change if enough people mention it! The chrysanthemum tea at the end was a nice touch.

If I could give this place more than a 5 star rating I would. We were visiting Seattle and stumbled across this bar hidden in Biang Biang Noodles. This place exceeded our expectations. The drinks and ambiance were amazing but more importantly the service was excellent. With a full house Mini, Sita, and Alex were attentive and very friendly. They gave us suggestions on drinks based on our palates which were amazing. If we're ever in Seattle again, this place is a must visit. Would definitely recommend this place to people looking for a nice date night spot or to just grab a few drinks. We will definitely be back!
