Updated review (3/15/24) I've had the Chicken & Cheese empanada, generously stuffed but my favorite empanada is definitely the beef one! It is SO GOOD!! (5/5 for beef empanada). The cheese and chicken empanada you have to wait to eat because it is extremely hot once you receive it (bc of the cheese lol) but it's pretty good with the cilantro sauce. The Arepa Pabellon is my absolute favorite. I went at least 3 times this month just to get it! This arepa comes with shredded beef, beans, mozzarella cheese, and plantains. Absolutely delicious! (5/5). I swear, I crave this like every week lol. Def check them out if you haven't already! Parking can get difficult to find. Other than that, i like that they take online orders and it tells you approximately when your order will be ready.

OK, I know absolutely nothing about Venezuelan food which is why we ended up here, but this was a great introduction. This is a food truck which is amongst our favorite ways to try new cuisine. We knew about empanadas of course but had never tried the euphoric repas before but they were delicious. A nice light bread with marinated chicken was just great. The plantain chips were great too. As in all things, when you something give it a try and you'll be surprised :-)

After walking around quite a bit in Seattle, I was excited to find something different than the typical to what I was seeing. When I walked in, the staff was very friendly! I ordered the pork arepa and unfortunately wasn't a fan. There was little to no seasoning in the meat and it was very greasy, even the bread was greasy. Arepas traditionally have so much flavor. I gave it three stars because my friend got the vegan arepa and loved it! It's wonderful when typically meat heavy cuisines offer tasty vegan options!

Located in Capitol Hill, this place serves some nice arepas and empanadas. There are a few Venezuelan places in the Seattle area, most of which are a takeout / fast casual type of setting. Here, I got the Arepa Pabellon which has beef, black beans, cheese, and plantains, quite a hearty combination. I was able to choose 1 of each of the cilantro, spicy cilantro, and curry sauce, all of which are in packet form. The arepa was a little bit on the drier side, so getting a total of 3 sauce packets was the move. I personally liked the spicy cilantro the most, followed by the regular cilantro then the curry sauce. All of them were good, though. The beef also felt a little dry but flavorful, but the cheese and plantains carried forward the quality of the arepa. The food did take a little bit of time to come, probably because they were made fresh to order. Another issue I had was the tray was fairly dirty underneath, so the sanitation of the tray is a bit questionable. Aside from the misses, this is a fairly underrated restaurant for a location that gets so much foot traffic.

This arepa was $13+ which is a little crazy honestly. That being said this was a very scrumptious meal! It's pretty small too which was also very disappointing. This is my first time trying an arepa so I didn't know what to expect. It came out piping hot and I really liked the corn-based wrap!

My friends and I went to Paparepas for lunch and it was delightful. Their empanadas, filled with succulent beef and chicken, are a highlight, bursting with savory goodness. The arepas are equally impressive, with a perfect balance of crispness on the outside and softness within, making each bite utterly satisfying. But the star of the show? The churros. Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and generously dusted with cinnamon sugar, they are simply irresistible. With a cozy atmosphere and speedy service, Paparepas provides a great meal for a reasonable price that left us feeling full and satisfied. I'll definitely be recommending this place to my friends!

First time trying Venezuelan foods and it was delicious! Sad that we could not try the yuca frita because they had run out by the time we came.Spacious, clean interior with a good amount of seatings. You order food via a kiosk and get your foods in to-go containers--quick, clean, and easy. I got the pabellon criollo and my boyfriend the beef arepa. Both the shredded beef in my bowl and the arepa were very tender and flavorful. The taste was amplified further with the sauces they provided: cilantro, spicy cilantro, and curry. I thought I would like curry the most, but I actually found it overpowering the flavors of everything else. I have the OR26A gene and hate the taste and smell of fresh cilantro, but their cilantro sauces were a hit and went extremely well with the rest of the flavors. Fried plantains were surprisingly delicious. The dough of the arepa was soft and had a good taste of corn. Overall a very satisfying meal, I highly recommend this place!

Paparepas looked interesting - Venezuelan food with an appealing menu. Sadly, our experience with their empanadas was one of heavy greasy fried corn-dough, with a fillings that were both small and not that interesting. Most of the flavor was of the fried dough - and of the cilantro sauce packets. We got a beef, a chicken & cheese, and a chicken empanadas. The cilantro sauces were packaged but pretty good -- but they couldn't overcome the heavy grease dough which drowned everything else out -- talk about a gut-bomb!And then there are the bizarre parts of things -- the ordering is via video screen, with no human interaction. The guy who came to the counter was friendly, but basically just pointed us to the ordering screen. We would have asked for his recommendation, but clearly he just wanted us to read about the food and order using the automated process. The restaurant was clean, but rather sterile in decor (sort if a grey laminated fake-wood kind of vibe). All-in-all, I found it both impersonal and unappealing. But the real problem was the food -- twenty minutes later, you could feel this heavy mass in your stomach, and wish you hadn't eaten it.

My first experience already has me & my family ready for the next experience, to be shared together! Paparepas (food truck) catered a festive celebratory occasion at My youngest's school. And the selections were plenty, filling and absolutely delicious. WOW!!! I am most grateful to have met the owners, who were so generous(I was offered extra food to take home, so unexpected, WOW!), kind and wonderful to talk to. I'm taking my family to one of their restaurant locations for sure, and we just may be lucky enough to visit a couple of their food truck locations.Worth it, GO!
