Excellent food and family owned. Papagus is a Lake Zurich institution and has been around for years.They have everything from cheeseburgers to excellent Greek food. There are also good options for the vegetarian.

I have no problem pushing some of the sauce or toppings aside so I can focus on the food. I found myself adding the components I want to create the flavor I was aiming for.

Got a double cheeseburger from them. Very tasty. Only gripe was I had to pay extra for fries. 10/10 would order again.

Apparently this mess drowning in tzatziki is their chicken souvlaki. As a Greek, I know Greek food and I wanted to support the local Greek restaurant. It was completely inedible and all tzatziki. In the garbage it went. Total waste of money. They should rename it to be "artery clog special".

Went here to get a Greek salad, it was ok a little over priced almost $16.00 for a chicken Greek salad with nothing really in it and the pita bread was very stale.

The Gyros Platter was awesome it had a ton of meat packed in the container on a pita and not too much tzatziki (perfect amount). I had the sandwich Gyro before and I prefer the platter with Greek Potatoes. Fries are an option versus the Greek potatoes. The Gyro here really you cannot go wrong.

The beef sandwich was one of the best my husband has ever had ! The bun was so fresh! The French fries were excellent ! Since Portillos sold , the beef is not the same. This is the place for beef!!

Eaten here for years old spot as well ...go in today for a hotdog at 140pm $3.75 they microwaved it ! Right in front of me ! You ruined it didn't you think I would know??? Bun ripped hot dog had no snap so much condiments couldn't even tell it was a hot dog ...in the garbage ! Shame on you guys for being lazy and ruining a chicago hot dog ! The public is smarter than you think Just list a regular!
