Pancho Villa's Farmer's Market

I wish they didn't use margarine in their tortillas. I mean, even some of my Mexican friends who just love these think they are so good, yet they are eating hydrogenated fats! Not good. Use lard people!!!Sorry, but this place actually stinks and smells like they are killing animals in the back and leaving them there for a while. [Maybe they are? Si, no bueno].Clean it up Pancho's! Build a wall barrier between the huge meat counter and the public!! It smells like a dam slaughter house. I am about to call the city and have you inspectatoed'.

I'm a big fan of Pancho Villa's and I'm always in need of something from this market, however some things have recently changed. Also, there are a few items that I would absolutely say "Do Not Buy" while shopping here.One of the things that have recently changed are the prices. Like everywhere else, prices have gone UP! I needed garlic on a recent trip and found 3 bulbs of prepackaged garlic for $1.99!!! That's even more expensive than Vons, where you'll find garlic for 2/$1. Prices on produce here are usually much cheaper than your typical grocer, but you may not always find that to be the case. I find the same to be said about their berries, which I typically find the best prices on at Costco.One thing that has recently changed is that the smoked pork chops are no long sold from behind the butcher counter...bummer. Instead, they are now sold in the prepackaged section. The reason this bums me out is because I really like to individually select my chops. Unfortunately, some of the chops look a little suspect, so selecting my own allows me to get the premium chops I'm looking for. I love these chops, priced around $4.99 lb, but I might look at one of the other similar markets. Don't sleep on these chops as they are a great addition to beans, greens, and more.Do Buys:Tortillas-now priced at $3.99 for 12, but absolutely best immediately eaten out of the bag. When you get home, layer staggered tortillas on a few paper towels to let them cool off, and then put them back in the bag. This technique will help prevent them from sticking together and breaking when you try to remove them later.Al Pastor-now priced at $2.99. Love al pastor from your favorite taco shop? Well get a few pounds of this, some tortillas, make some homemade guac, and boom!! More food, less money, YEAAHHHHHH.Potatoes, Peppers, and most Produce:I recently scooped a 5lb bag of potatoes for $1.99, and I've sometimes gotten them for 99 cents. Don't Buys:Any chips other than tortillas. You will find the worse prices on chips here. I recently saw a 5oz. bag of Ruffles here for $3.99. You can get a 32 oz bag of similar chips for $6.99.Thank you Pancho Villas, especially the tortilla ladies! In the age of asking for tips for everything, can we please place a tip jar by the tortilla ladies? They definitely deserve some love.

Drove the drive for the Handmade tortillas and Yelp with the Boys before the Year Ends.Not sure what well eat,as we all have different cravings.Tortilleria Adelita makes the best flour tortillas, I never had the Corn. However,I believe there is a minimum of how many packs you can grab unless you call in advance. It may be 2packs per person(Sign says 2tortillas) but I believe they meant 2packs.

I enjoy going to the mexican market because they have really good stuff at a much better deal! They beat out the conventional stores in some areas and lack in others .. so I guess its kinda even. But I really enjoy certain mexican brand items. Prices are great! Store layout is cool . Easy to find everything. Its clean and well organized. I have only had good experiences with the cashiers.

Tried this place out to get a few things because I moved in near the area. The layout was pretty easy to follow and the staff behind the counters in the meat section were kind and quick to help. They have a large selection of meats, seafood, pastries as well! Unfortunately when it came to some of the produce, a good portion of strawberries, blueberries, or grapes were far gone already or molded. But the place had decent prices for the necessities, but was actually pretty expensive for a lot of other common goods. It's a nice place, but definitely could just use some touching up.

Maybe the best Hand made tortillas corn and flour! I go sometimes just for the tortillas and bollios!They also have Agua frescas, pan dulce, and cooked food!

Tortillas!!! Hot fresh delicious. Everyone is helpful. My friend and I practiced English and Spanish as we read the bilingual signs for every item.

Fresh tortillas made constantly and a great selection of produce at low prices. Ready made food options will satisfy any craving. Butcher selection is excellent. Fresh made chicharron! Check out the hot sauce aisle! So many different styles.

Fresh fruits and vegs and totalia is all get i buy there only but line is way to slow on weekend for fresh tortaila ones cant wait till i can take a bite out of it while hot the flour ones r best out of the two fresh ones fruits and vegetables r good there price better than most but mainly on fruits vegetables cheese eggs and have hot food area that's good good choice 9f items drinks r good for that good sodamexcain Brandon that has good fruit flovered

We always go here for excellent prices on veggies, roasted peanuts (we buy 10-15 pounds at a time to feed to the squirrels in the park), & smoked pork chops. They are the best.
