Paleteria La Michoacana

If you are craving for some snacks, this is one of the best spots I've been to so far. My husband and I needed to wait for an hour for the groomers to finish grooming our dog and we were craving for something sweet, so we just searched for "La Michoacana" then found this. Luckily, this spot is near our dog's grooming salon. I got excited upon seeing their selection of ice cream, I think they have more than 10! I was able to try two flavors, nuez con cajeta and coffee. I love them both. We also have some tostilocos, I just think there were a lot of nuts and chamoy in it, would've requested for more picked pork skins. We enjoyed our horchata too cause it wasn't watery and was flavorful. Would definitely recommend!

More legit than I thought it was going to be. They have unique flavors of ice cream like queso fresco etc etc and the classics. They have loads of other options too. Frequently has a line out the door and I can see why. Very inexpensive. The place could use a good clean. But would it be as authentic.. maybe it's part of the experience... service was just meh.. staff a bit on the cold side, and that's no ice cream joke heyyyy. Oh also, don't order the mint. Just... it's not what you think it's gonna be.

Decidimos pasar por unas paletas después de comer pizza. El lugar es chico pero tiene gran variedad de sabores, te quedas con ganas de probar todos, si te encantan la nanches agarra la nieve el sabor es exquisito. Las paletas también estaban ricas, el precio que tienen es justo. También vimos que puedes comprar por docena , muy pronto volveremos. El señor que nos atendió fue muy amable.

Amazing snacks and treats plus always nice customer service! They will always have my business!

The pros: Nice selection of ice cream and paletas here, so that's a big plus. I got a scoop of the vanilla and a scoop of the chocolate abuelita and they were delicious! The portions were big and filling. I might actually go with a kids scoop next time instead.The cons: They have no fans or AC inside, so in 90+ San Diego heat it feels super stuffy inside. I was not sure if I was going to take my order to go or eat there, but because of how hot it was inside I decided to take it home. The other downside to this location is the parking. I know that's out of their control, but just be aware your car might get dented or scratched while you're parked outside due to lots of drivers parking crooked and over their line.

This is my sister and I's favorite Michoacana. Everything on the menu sounds appetizing. I recommend getting the chamangos, tostilocos, and gansito or chocolate abuelita ice cream. This place is a cute spot and vibe. Plus, the staff are really nice.

Delicious! Everything ive ever had here is very good. The mangonadas are my favorite.

The ice cream is good, so are the many different treats. What ruins this place is the poor customer service and the lack of sympathy they have, it's not all the ladies that work here but the one that always wears some vans to work is always so mean, she makes you speed through your order and acts like she is going to remember it, then has you repeat it to her about 5 more times. Still enjoy my rocky road though :D

The ice cream that I got was Gansito flavored; honestly, it didn't taste good. I've gone to other places and gotten the same flavored and the cake wasn't as mixed with the ice cream as this place. The Horchata was disgusting!! it literally tasted like they poured a gallon of milk with no cinnamon. You couldn't even taste her rice.The service was super slow because the staff was talking to some regulars from the taco shop next-door .
