Pacific Southern

I'll start with the wait staff was very kind and helpful..however I was so disappointed last weekend when I went in to eat. I had been there about 5 years ago and it was not only packed but our party of 10or so enjoyed everything we got. A friend and I stopped in to order to go and the place seemed run down a bit and unfortunately our order was subpar. One order came with potato's, we got home quickly figured out had been cooked maybe 5min. I put them in the air fryer for another 15min when I got home before they were done.My order of chicken & waffles (which I was so excited to have again) came with no butter, no syrup and the eggs were also undercooked. The chicken did have great seasoning but it was a bit dry. Again, staff were lovely but food not so much.

My wife and I decided to stop here since we've never been and that was a mistake. We both ordered the catfish. She got the baked beans and I got the Mac and cheese. While the host/waitress was nice and was able to pay attention to everyone the food was terrible. The catfish had zero flavor in the breading and the fish itself was like trying to bite through a rubber band. The baked beans were really watery and I'm assuming they were from a can that I can buy at safe way. The Mac and cheese may have been the best thing on the table but, it was still flavorless other than butter. The corn bread was so dry it was tough to eat and swallow.The hushpuppies weren't bad but I'm willing the bet they came out of a bag. Overall I would avoid this place if you're looking for somewhere new or just somewhere southern. Everything is from a bag or a can and has zero flavor or effort into it.

I used to frequent this restaurant for its great food and service, but unfortunately, especially since COVID, my experiences with Pac Southern have taken a nosedive. On one occasion, I found hair in my food, and despite bringing it to their attention, they refused to replace or compensate for the meal. The waitress told me I had already eaten one of the slices of French tose so nothing should could do. I formed her that I would've eaten the half with the hair on it had I known. The last straw... when the atmosphere was marred by the waitstaff yelling/arguing and cursing at each other during my last visit. My waitress was the one being attacked and it was very confusing and unprofessional. I haven't been back since! It's disheartening to see such a decline in what was once a fantastic dining spot.

Reasonable southern experience for Washington. I was a little confused at the 4 piece chicken being a wing, a de-boned thigh, and two chicken strips. The strips were different breading then the thigh and wing, that was weird. But the collard greens were great, and the cornbread was fantastic too. I was surprised they offer tobasco and saracha instead of a Louisiana hot sauce. Still, confusion aside I will be back again.

Rating is only this high because the food is so good! We sat in the bar. Bartender took 10 minutes to acknowledge us and another 10 to take our drink order. The bar didn't seem that busy to take that long. Behind the bar looked disorganized and messy. Once we ordered (took another 15 to get that to happen) the food came relatively quickly. But let me tell you! Was it worth the wait. Everything was delicious. We will be back, but definitely will not sit in or at the bar.

Today was my first time here. Customer service was amazing! Staff were friendly and attentive! Ambiance was nice! Food was sooooo yummy!! Definitely recommend this place! Britney, Sonya and Sonya's sister (I didn't get her name) treated us very like family can't recommend this place enough!

Eaten here several times and never disappointed.My favorite is their catfish.Always cooked to perfection.But I chose Jambalaya on this visit and was disappointed by the overdose of spicy sauce.Felt a burn on the roof of my mouth and lips.On leaving I asked if it was possible to leave the hot sauce or whatever they spice it up with,on the side or just no spice at all and they said no problem.The hefty portion I don't understand as it's enough for two.Lots of chicken,Andouille sausage and shrimp served with cornbread.We were lucky to be on the quieter side of lunchtime as the place can get a bit noisy when busy.Service always friendly and polite.The catfish Sammy was enormous!Don't really need the bread.Topped with coleslaw..Doesn't matter where I go,I'm just wondering why portions have to be so huge.But it won't stop us returning to this fine establishment.

Although the food was too dry for my liking, but I appreciated that they have chicken gizzards and breakfast omelettes that can be eaten at dinnertime. Huge portion is another plus as well! Service was great as the host/waistress was attentive even though we came close to the closing time.

We both had the shrimp n grits with cornbread.The shrimp n grits were amazing. Cooked just right. Seasonings and cheese were the perfect amount.The cornbread had great flavor, but was a touch on the dry side. We added some butter and honey and ate all of that too.The staff was friendly and never stopped moving throughout the dining room. We're looking forward to trying more of their dishes.

Jenny our server was on point ! Super friendly and knowledgeable about the food you serve. Deff going back food is AMAZING and pretty chill vibe great ambiance.
