* just FYI, if you're offended by a Trump banner and Trump supporters this place has both.My friend had rave reviews about Pacific Rim from its fresh fish to the super nice Hawaiian owners. It used to be a food truck and now they have a brick and mortar. When I walked in on a Saturday at 2pm, I saw it's a decent size restaurant and it was full with only one table open. The kitchen is open so you can see them cooking. Good variety of Hawaiian eats on the menu. I liked how they had a few seats next to the big window for those like me waiting for their to go orders. There is an inviting aura from the Hawaiian videos and music playing to the customers looking happy with their food. I was greeted warmly by the staff at the cashier and she answered any questions I had. Easy to order to go and my food came out at a timely manner...* Coconut garlic shrimp- in my head I was thinking it would be like the shrimp from the food trucks I've had in Hawaii. More like a lightly fried shrimp tossed in fried garlic, but this was saucy in garlic and red/green peppers. Flavor was good though. FYI, the shells are still on...* Hawaiian plate - the best laulau I ever had in Az! The lomi salmon (tiny lil container of it, I thought it was just chopped up tomatoes at first lols, kalua pork and haupia were ono also. The mac salad is ok taste wise compared to others I've had but it's not bad...*yellowtail igiri - fresh and the fish just melts in yo mouthSo I ended up ordering the poke bowl also 10 min later while I was waiting. This time the owner/wife took my order and she was so friendly and talked to me like I was a regular. Even gave me a sample of the Hawaiian beef curry since I never had it and I asked if it was similar to Japanese curry. My only hmm about Pacific Rim is the poke bowl is listed as $15 on the menu. But later I realized they charged me $20. I do remember her asking if I wanted the fresh poke and I said of course. Who wants old poke? Lols So maybe that's why it's an extra $5? So is it $15 if you want not so fresh poke? I need to ask next time...

Arizona: A wonderful landlocked state known for sushi and Hawaiian food.Isn't that what you were thinking? ;)Pacific Rim & Sushi started off as a food truck and has since moved into this great brick and mortar. The chef grew up on the island of Kauai, so hey, that has to count for something, right? On the first visit, we ordered the $16 Loco Moco and $15 Chicken Katsu. The loco moco was salty, but the chicken katsu was really juicy. Both had portion sizes that were more than generous. The mac salad isn't my favorite, and if you know me, I'm one to usually get no rice and all mac salad, but here, I say keep the rice! It helps cut the sodium level of the brown gravy on the loco moco. What a great spot and some good eats. I'll be back again to try more of the menu.

Fabulous food from a true Hawaiian team!My boyfriend (who is from Ewa Beach himself) and I visited with a group after seeing this spot serves classic plate lunches with items other restaurants don't serve. We were so thrilled to get a Hawaiian combo packed with savory and aromatic lau lau, juicy kalua pork, and super fresh lomi salmon. It also comes with great mac salad, rice, and a cup of haupia (the perfect coconut dessert). All delicious!I don't think I've had poke this good in a while. They really hooked it up with spicy shoyu tuna, even though shoyu ~technically~ isn't on the menu, and I loved the addition of seaweed! I could've eaten a big tub of that. The staff is phenomenal (owner from West Oahu, according to my friend who visited the next day). They helped us put tables away after we gathered a couple together for our group, and they made sure we were all taken care of. So happy to have a good Hawaiian spot like this close by! Can't wait to return!

Food is awesome. Ambiance is poor due to front window support. Service is spectacular. I vote with my dollars to support small businesses. I can no longer justify my support of this small business.

We live Hawaii and actually got married there. Given we live less than two miles away, we decided to give this a try for our anniversary dinner. This is, by a very long shot, the best Hawaiian dining experience I have had in the state of Arizona. The vibe is authentic, the service is exceptional, and the food is just freaking amazing. Aloha you can eat!

YES! This is a new Hawaiian spot in Mesa that was formally a food truck. My husband and I stopped by to pick up lunch today, and we're very happy! We ordered a Loco Moco plate and a Hawaiian Plate. They started making our orders immediately, and we just waited a few minutes.Auntie came out and showed us the food before bagging it up.Loco Moco was very good, with lots of gravy and plenty of rice. The Hawaiian Plate was so refreshing to have. Most places are too salty, but their pig was not at all. The lomi lomi was very fresh, too.I can't wait to have more from here and tell my friends about it!

The BEST place for Hawaiian food in Arizona! Finally a hawaiian couple from hawaii bringing all the food we miss the right way. So full of aloha! Everything is so Ono! Owners come and talk story to everybody, everything is made the same way it is if you go to tutus house back in hawaii. There's hawaiian music playing, local ukulele artists sometimes and Hawaii scenery on TV. Order poke to go like sack n save. Order a poke bowl. There's hawaiian plate with LAULAU! Charsiu chicken omg!!!

Was curious to see what had replaced the Golden hawaiian grill place that I loved coming to and surprised that the food was just as good. I got the garlic shrimp while the bf got a musubi, poke bowl with salmon and for dessert we tried out guava cake. Everything was delicious but the highlights were definitely the poke bowl with its delicious soft cuts of salmon and the guava cake that was moist and strong guava flavor

Finally got a chance to try the food here. The char sui chicken was good. I wish there was a chicken breast option. I also wish they gave a bit more rice with the meal, but overall it was delicious and we can't wait to come back and try the burgers.
