Ox Burger

Got the Lao burger and the deluxe, both very juicy and flavorful burgers. Honestly have nothing bad to say about them. The fries were still so crispy even when kept in a to-go box and eaten a couple hours later. Staff were helpful and polite. Gets busy on the weekends though so did have to wait a bit.

These burgers are absolutely bomb. I've tried both the Lao Burger and the Ox deluxe. Both have a thick well cooked patty and high quality ingredients. If you're in the mood for a classic burger the Ox definitely checks that box, but the Laos burger is super unique. The sauce, fried pork, and pickled veggies all work fantastically with each other to create a really unique meal. Service has been great every time I've been there, though it's just counter service where they bring the meal out. Ambience is a hit for me, the outdoor patio is beautiful and comfortable. If you make it here when it's drizzling the sound of rain on the roof feels like quintessential Seattle. About 1/3 of the time though, the local homeless population will approach me while eating outside here. All my interactions have been positive, but worth noting regardless. Definitely check this place out if you're in the area!

I got Ox burger as a to go order after hearing such amazing things about their sister restaurant's famous burger. And I must say it met and exceeded my expectations for what an amazing smash burger should be. The buns here soft and toasted. Patties were crispy on the edges with a beautiful sear. The veggies and toppings for the Lao burger were unique yet added so much complexity to the dish as well!! I'm obsessed!I know it's a steep price for a burger but you're getting a burger you know is curated to a "T". Also got the French fries on the side with garlic aioli. They were insanely crispy and well seasoned. Also love the garlic aioli so be sure to try that out too!!

Two stars are for the absolutely stellar fries. Crispy, well seasoned little nuggets of potato goodness. One star because my fiancé loved his burger.Not a fan of the burgers. Fiancé had the Lao burger (which I tried) and I had the deluxe burger. The deluxe burger was nothing to write home about - it was fine, but nothing special or unique. Their burger sauce is just mayo/mustard/ketchup - it needed a relish or something to bring it together. The Lao burger was an absolute no from me. It just tasted of lime leaves and nothing else, and the lime flavor completely overpowered everything on the burger. It was so out of balance that I struggled to finish my portion. The condiments are likewise so heavy handed on the lime that I didn't taste anything else. The garlic aioli should be renamed as lime aioli with garlic. Their signature sauce, the jaew bong mayo, tastes about the same, with the addition of a fishy note from their fish sauce. I ordered a side of regular mayo that they forgot (they also did not give us utensils even though I asked).I'm usually a big fan of fusion food but this felt incredibly forced and so heavy handed on the lime. Sad because I was very excited to try this place.

The Lao Burger is huge. Since its a smashed patty, the edges are crispy and extend past the burger. I think it is a little oily and difficult to eat, but overall quite a tasty burger. We also got the fries, and the seasoning on them was really really good! The staff was so nice and helpful! We ate outside, and it was quite nice and peaceful.

If you go here and don't get the Lao Burger then you're missing out. We also got the spicy fried chicken deluxe and it was good, but boring compared to the Lao. You've been warned!I really could go on and on about the Lao Burger, which has all the flavors, pickled onions and thinly sliced pork belly. It's a small spot with limited seating. We were determined to eat here, so we ordered our food and waited for a table to open up.

Ugh I love a good burger and Ox Burger truly does nail it! I love how it's different flavors than your usual burger!I LOVED the Lao burger, the cilantro on it really added a good fresh touch. The fried chicken burger was okay, nothing to rave about but not as good as the Lao burger!The fries are DIVINE. Crisp and well seasoned. And all the sauces they have are so freaking good! The garlic lime leaf aioli was so yum, kinda tasted like tom yum and I love the jaew bong mayo and the sambal hot sauce.Also an honorable mention to one of the best parts of this meal, the orange fanta creamsicle float, oh my gosh. They make the soft serve in house and it was just a compliment to the saltiness of the food.We also got some cocktaills, they are good but strong! Def a good place to start on a night out on Cap Hill for sure! The inside is pretty small but in the summer time it is probably so nice because they have a massive patio!Also the service is so quick and so friendly, such a great spot!

Great happy hour burger spot! Surprised it wasn't busier. Pretty casual spot where you order at the counter, and they bring the food out to you. During happy hour a burger + fries is only 8 bucks. Thick fries with great seasoning, and perfectly thin, crispy edged smash burger totally coming back.

Lao burger: Probably my favorite burger I've ever hadThis is what fusion food should be. Perfectly balanced and not trying so hard to make it fusion that the flavors don't even work. The quality was great every time. The fries are also delicious but you have to be careful since they're really hot on the inside.Wouldn't recommend their regular burger though, nothing special and can't skip out on their signature one :)

Deluxe burger bomb. Fish sandwich flop. I didn't like the garlic aioli either... tasted weird with the lime or zest in there. The fries were great, love the seasoning ! But ketchup cost extra?? Saddd thankfully had some ketchup at home I would go back for the deluxe burger. -1 for the unwelcome feels coming in -1 for the fish. Batter was too thick and just tasted cardboardy wish I got the burger instead
