This adorable, hidden, spot is a great find. The cocktails have an interesting depth of flavor and the food was very tasty. My friend said to include in the review that although Yelp lists this as "tapas/small plates" it is def not a tapas restaurant. It has high end bar snacks and shareable plates, but not Spanish style. Also, a great view of the water

Love the mussels in a light white chowder broth. Got the Whidbey sour and loved the fruitiness. Service was quick. There's about six tables to sit at but on a Saturday evening there wasn't a wait.

Overboard is a fun little restaurant. Some call is a speakeasy but I wouldn't really say it's that. It's a quaint little bar down the steps along the water. This place runs exceptionally lean with just two or three people I think. They were able to keep up for the most part which impressed me. We had to help clear the table but given their small staff we didn't mind. The drinks were pretty tasty and were a perfect treat after dinner.

Very fresh seafood, reasonable beer prices, fresh bread, outstanding raw oysters. I'd love to see some candle light on the tables!

I dislike giving less than 4 or 5 stars to small businesses, especially since the food we tried and cocktails we enjoyed did not disappoint. What did disappoint my husband and I were the lack of ambiance. After all, the walk down from street-level to Overboard's entrance already has a natural kind of drama and fun mysterious feel built in. However, we immediately found that there was no defined identity and vibe inside as both were devoid and underwhelming. We felt we were eating in a cafeteria with the bright lighting. There was no bar to highlight the remarkable cocktails being carefully crafted. Instead, you look into a dreary kitchen. The furniture are remnants from the old Knead & Feed that is fine for a restaurant, but not what could be the makings of a cool and dimly lit "Speakeasy". In addition, the music was loud (more like frat boy sounding music) and did not match the fantastic classic cocktails and sophisticated and well-made food.As soon as we finished our food and drinks, we didn't feel the need to order another and we didn't feel comfortable enough to want to linger because of this lack of ambiance and vibe.In my opinion, a simple dimming of the lights and more chill music playlist would be a good place to start. I would stop by again and give you another shot because you make ridiculously great cocktails and food! I'm no expert, but I see the makings of an extra special place with just a few tweaks.

Great place for food and cocktail - 2 people following there dream - food was great - cocktail amazing - all locally sourced - genuine great people serving you - one can easily pick on little details but honestly this is the best I felt in a long time after paying my bill - it is great and you are supporting some local people that care

What an amazing hidden gem. Each item is carefully prepared. Great drinks (and NA drinks). We stopped by on a whim and loved every bit of it.

Stopped in to try their cocktails and was delighted by the experience. I ordered the Rose's Rose Gimlet and ended up getting a second cuz it was so good. The owner makes the cinnamon rose shrub in house and the flavor was perfect. They were super friendly and chatted with us about the island and local animals for a while. We even saw some harbor seals from the window. Can't wait to come back!

What a fabulous place! Delicious cocktails and amazing food. A small, local place with friendly owners. And a beautiful view. We will be back here anytime we're in Coupeville!!
