Outpost Sandwiches

Eat a sandwich from outpost, be prepared to not be hungry for the rest of the day. Their sandwiches will fill you up! Well made, and stacked generously! The selection is clearly smaller so that the quality of sandwiches are higher. This place is a tucked away gem that was probably meant just for the folks at the downtown post office next door. There's a couple of staff members who run the place and they're always kind. I feel like this place is like a permanent indoor food truck. There's not a lot of tables to sit down and enjoy, but the space that is there is chill and quiet.

What a gem, what a sandwich! I was passing through tacoma and recommended this place by a friend. There were 1 or 2 people waiting - she had a BLT and he the chicken sandwich - they seemed like regulars. The guy who took my order was sweet, the sandwich (chicken) was incredible. I will be back to work my way through the menu.

Great downtown vintage spot. Excellent service, even better sandwiches, only drawback is that they are busy due to being so good! Plan ahead. Go early, late or just plan on a wait and your tummy will thank you later.

Heavenly sandwiches that make your mouth water. I drive quite a distance just for one of their chicken melts and salted caramel cookies. I can honestly say these are my favorite sandwiches EVER!

First time here... Got the Chicken Melt this past Friday (16 June). Dang! That was a sandwich to remember! Best bacon I've ever had and roasted chicken, gouda cheese and tomato pesto was absolute quality. Loved the sourdough bread, light and airy, and crisp! The most difficult decision this Friday during lunch, was that Outpost was making their weekly pizza special.... oh my gosh, it smelled and looked so great! Every part of me wanted that deep dish pizza as I stared at it through the kitchen window, but I'm very happy I got to experience the Chicken Melt sandwich. BUT be assured... next time I'm ready for a carbo load, I'll be back for the Friday pizza special!

I've read the outstanding reviews, but hadn't tried it until today. I got the chicken melt...it was phenomenally delicious. Very generous toppings made it very satisfying as well. They're in a lovely little spot on the ground floor corner spot of the post office. There is comfortable seating inside and out. I'll definitely return, looking forward to trying other items. Online orders kind of slowed the wait, but I patiently waited my turn. It was worth it.

I come here often for my lunch break and it's super easy to order online and pick up my sandwich. I always get the chicken melt as that's the BEST sandwich. The pesto on there is delicious, the bacon has the best flavor, the smoked Gouda... just all so good. The service is always super friendly and they are working fast to make these sandwiches. It's a little hole in the wall but there are a few tables to eat at. Noon is when it gets crazy busy since everyone is there for lunch. If you go at 1pm it's usually more quiet and no line!

Local, fresh made, tasty, good valueThis place is pretty unassuming. $4 pizza "squares" that are 6" on a side and 3" deep might be the best lunch deal one can find. I tried to find a healthier option and settled on the salad. Very flavorful with a surprising amount of lettuce for $13 and a house-made fresh green dressing that was fantastic. I went a little after 1 and some things were sold out. Pro tip: expect a bit of a wait as things are made fresh for you. I'll be going back to this place!

Loved it! Quality ingredients, sandwiches made with care, and the staff are friendly. It's nice to eat at a place where they have pride in their food and work.

Oh my god the club was so delicious. My gf had the BLT. We both were shocked at how damn delicious this place is.
