Otto's Empire Diner

Came here for lunch as I was in the area. Cool place to eat. Food was prepared quickly and was good. Service was great. I would come back here again.

This place is so yummy. Also, they're portion sizes are unbelievably enormous. Everything tastes so good. I know that they're only open from 8:00 to 3:00 in the afternoon so those are you getting off work will be out of luck. That is unless you work early shifter overnight shift. Anyway, I went in about noon in order myself an egg salad sandwich and french fries. The egg salad was just like it was back east where it was nice and creamy with some really great flavor mixed into it. The toast was perfect and the french fries were really crispy. Simple lunch and a really great place that reminds you of a diner back East you once went into. The wait staff is really nice and this was a pleasant dining experience.

Today the hubs and I decided to stop at Otto's Empire which it has been a few years since we'd been here. The food is so delicious I think better than years ago. We will definitely be coming back here.

Otto's is easy to get too. It's close to the corner of Greenway and 35th Ave. It's easily accessible. Service is prompt and efficacious, then friendly. That tall thin waiter, I'd read about was proactive in meeting our needs. The atmosphere is reminiscent of the little luncheonettes in South Florida. The breakfast foods are delish. His Home Fries are done to a turn. They are cooked just to that perfect point. The coffee they serve is wonderful. Many of the breakfast combinations are unique.The breakfast burrito is served in a tortilla that is tender. The whole of the burrito is better than the sum of it's parts. It was so good. For the past 12 years I've driven past it. Always I've thought "I should go there" and wondered how a restaurant that's a simple old style dinner can stay in business. The mystery is solved.

A great local place for breakfast and lunch. Carlos,Otto and staff are awesome. Joshua,the server is also great & everyone.The roast beef omelet is great & everything

I went there with a friend on a Friday morning at 9am and ordered the biscuits and gravy and they were already out. One would think that they could whip up another batch. They had only been open a few hours and claim to be homemade restaurant. The food I did order was just ok. Please people toast your bread properly. It was that in between where it just tasted stale and soggy.

We stopped here for breakfast, as we happened to be in the area and enjoy supporting local business. We were promptly greeted and seated by a friendly young lady who immediately took our drink orders. Shortly after, the server arrived to take our order. His demeanor was stoic which isn't an issue, but probably not the best representation for front house customer interactions. Nonetheless, he was very efficient in taking our order. Our omelette lacked visual appeal but tasted very delicious. Our hash browns were extremely undercooked and flavorless. Our pancakes were hot, fluffy and delicious. Service was quick and the young ladies were on top of our refills. Overall, we had a relatively good experience. I'm glad we gave them try. 3.5.

We can not find another breakfast place this good and consistent every time! We drive from new river to eat here almost every Sunday. At other places We either eventually get sick from crappy cooking or the service just inconsistent. And the price thru the roof to boot. But not Ottos. Good every which way every time. And the biscuits are home made and amazing!

Really sad to say we won't come back. After 2 different visits, we've decided this place is not good for breakfast.Cons: uneven cook on food, very oily, cold in the middle, mediocre flavor, quality is worse than fast food Pro: friendly service and local business

We have gone in here weekly for years and I am finally fed up. The food is great and the place is very clean but the bald guy is rude as hell. I have overlooked it until today. He made a smart ass remark and I will no longer tolerate it. This would be a great place if not for him. He has never been friendly in all the time we've gone in. No appreciation for our business.
