A truly delightful dinner. Highly recommend the Lobster Bisque. I should not have ordered anything else, it was a filling serving! Service was spectacular- very attentive and considerate.

Great local spot with true Italian and seafood options. I came here with a large party and we had excellent service and great quality meal. I highly recommend if in the area and seeking Italian. I ordered the linguini clams and it was filling with a great sauce! Well done Osteria!

Tried this place for the very first time on a Thursday night for a girl's night. Was honestly not that impressed. First of all, our waiter was not very kind or accommodating and seemed to be rushing us through our dinner. We had arrived at 5pm and there were plenty of open tables around us so I did not appreciate his abrasive demeanor. The pastas we tried were all very saucy but there seems to be some flavor missing. I ordered the linguine nere and while there was a decent amount of seafood, it was lacking flavor. Parking in this area is extremely difficult so be sure to give yourself plenty of time. There are definitely plenty of other options for better Italian food and service in La Jolla.

Cute place. Felt like I was in in a europian restaurant. Very friendly staff and answered all my questions regarding the menu. Dishes were tasty. The only draw back was parking which took us good 15 minutes to find a spot and it was a week day.

We had a light lunch here - spinach salad with figs and carpaccio salmon over arugula - both fresh both good. Their warm bread roll is excellent. Nice location near La Jolla Shores beach. Indoor and outdoor seating. Fast friendly service.

Charming restaurant. We sat outside. Seats were cozy and comfortable while you people watch. We ordered arugula salad with goat cheese, endive and radicchio. Then we had cioppino and spaghetti carbonara - both very delicious. Our waiter was very friendly and efficient. Will come back again when we are in the neighborhood.

It has been awhile since I've been here, so stopped in for a quit dinner. Cozy inside, and nice lap out front, although pretty chilly tonight. I decided on an order of the Ravioli filled w/ ricotta cheese and spinach in a pink sauce, along with a glass of Montepulciano, and both were very good. Everything the servers walked past my table with looked great too - minestrone, salads, calamari zucchini fritti. Just learned tonight that they also own Pomodorro and Pummaro in Pt. Loma, which we love. Look forward to returning to all 3!

Came here starving and left so full and happy! Everything we had was amazing! The bread and marinara to start off was so good, so soft and delicious. We got the bruschetta and lobster bisque as appetizers. The bruschetta was so refreshing and the soup was perfect. We ordered the spinach and cheese ravioli and the beef lasagna. The cheese pull on the lasagna was everything you would want from a cheese pull. The lasagna was piled high with sausa and meat and cheese, perfection! Not to mention the service was quick and attentive. The restaurant is very cozy and homey. I had a great experience here and would definitely recommend!

I have mixed feelings about this place. My friend and I checked out this place (after we left our Halloween party) so we could host our Christmas holiday event here. When we arrived, we ordered coffee and spoke to the chef, Danko. It's not everyday we meet a chef, so we took a photo with him. He offered to cook us anything we'd like, but oddly enough, one of the female staff (the blond one) rudely said "actually the kitchen is closed." Was the kitchen closed or was it still opened and we just weren't welcomed by the female staff? Was the chef her man and she was territorial? While we were sipping our coffee and talking to the chef about booking an event at the restaurant, we saw food being delivered to some of the tables. Obviously the kitchen wasn't closed! More food were delivered to tables as we walked out later!I had booked a room for 30 for a holiday party, but as I'm writing this review, I am realizing that I need to cancel my reservation. I don't think we were very welcomed here. The chef was extremely nice, but the blond behind the counter was rude. I'm sorry, but the purpose of my visit was to check out the restaurant and book it for my holiday party (not to check out any man!). It's unfortunate I didn't get to try the food and will likely not come back. The coffee was good, the chef was nice, and the ambiance was cozy. I don't know what that chick's problem was, but whatever it was, it's one way to drive away business! I will be hosting my holiday party elsewhere....If the restaurant owner/manager is reading this, you can cancel my reservation for 30 people on 10Dec2022, it will save me the trouble of calling to cancel....
