Osaka Grill Teriyaki

My chiropractor used to be in one of these buildings in the same parking lot and I ate here quite often many years ago after appointments. I remember it being absolutely delicious then. Different owners? Rude guy behind counter thought I was stealing pop from the pop machine with my water glass. So I gave him my glass full of water as proof that it was water, so had nothing to drink with my meal. And I even tipped him $2.00 ! What a jerk. What a sign of reverse racism. The chicken teriyaki came only two mayby three minutes after sitting down, so precooked.. was soft from being pre cooked and did not have the charred crispy bits like the other places have. There were even less cooked whiter pieces hiding under my darker cooked pieces. The salad dressing was way the wrong kind that goes with teriyaki compared to other places. Was not the sweet tasting kind, but more of a ceaser dressing with mayby something added to it ? I WON'T BE BACK. Your accusation of my stealing from you was uncalled for and rude.

I wrote a review for Osaka 6 years ago and called it the best Teriyaki in the area, and it was. I'm not sure if the ownership has changed or what has happened but 2 times in a row now we've been served some of the worst chicken I've ever had the unpleasant experience of eating. Both times the chicken was over-done and ancient. This last time we ordered our order was ready about 3 minutes after I ordered so they're not cooking anything fresh anymore. It makes me sad to say but we won't be back.

YUM. I was in denial about this place right up until the food was brought out. I didn't think it would be that good. But it was! Portions are really big and the presentation of food is on point. I got the chicken teriyaki and it was wonderful! The chicken is fresh and cooked the right way. It has that slightly tougher outside with a soft, tender inside that is juicy and full of flavor! That's how chicken should be. They know how to do it here. The sauce is perfect too. It comes with sticky rice that you can tell is cooked the right way without shortcuts. So tasty. It also comes with a basic salad. All for just under $10. Great deal. I will be back to try the Mongolian Beef! Authentic place but not my favorite atmosphere. I give this place 4.5 stars.

Seriously fast service and great teriyaki! The salad is real too, not shredded cabbage. I'm a spicy chicken fan. It's a 'go to' dish for any teriyaki joint I try. If you think ab out value and taste, people consider quantity for cost as 'value' and taste is subjective. If you like spicy, then spicy taste is what you consider. Is this priced well? Yes. Is the amount of food sufficient? Yes. A regular order is often split between 1 dinner serving and 1 lunch the next day...and the 2nd scoop of rice is nice! Try the 'extra meat' option. You'll be eating this for 2 dinners. So the value portion of the equation is met. Taste? I like spicy. A lot of places sell spicy teriyaki, but it's just not spicy. Their spicy sauce is a little on the thick side too, so it hangs well on every bite of nicely grill charred chicken. Have I been back? Many times. You will too.

Tried this teriyaki place for the first time. Ordered the chicken and pork combo. I'd say overall an average experience. The quantity is pretty good so that was a plus. The quality though wasn't the best that I've had from other restaurants. Not sure what else there is to say, it wouldn't be my first choice for a place to go, but if I was close by and wanted some teriyaki, I'd probably stop by. Just wouldn't order the pork again.

Even though this is a meat eaters haven, the nice lady behind the counter helped find the food with prawns, made an order with my bro, sat down to chill and just in a hot minute our food was served! Big portion for the price, very delicious! I was slurping away on my udon noodles with prawns! Great place to grab a meal and receive a good experience. P.s sorry no photo this time, I was to hungry to make em)))

I am very picky about teriyaki especially if it is super fatty and chewy. This is perfect! I have been here four times and not one bite was too chewy. The chicken is well cooked as is the rice. My only negative is that extra sauce costs 50 cents for a tiny container but I haven't really needed the extra sauce but I just love teriyaki sauce. This has become my main spot for teriyaki.

Updating review to 5 stars. The guy is funny. He has funny pricing. But he's the only one I've ever found who makes a chicken breast katsu. His food is good too. And I've learned he a nice man. You have to order large size if you want traditional big American portions.

Awesome food for reasonable prices, especially considering they pile their yakisoba HIGH. I hadn't eaten all day and still have like half of my meal (which had awesome chicken). Also, my grandma only had twenty's to pay for extra teriyaki sauce, so the owner let us have it for free:) Have been eating here for years and will continue to do so

Horrible I tried to order DoorDash again from this place and found bugs in my food. Literally I sound fruit flies in my rice please absolutely disgusting do not go here!!!
