Still adore Oromo - The strawberry cashew cream bagel is so nourishing and fresh! I crave it often :) Their patio is also great, and in such a perfect Lincoln Square location! We love bringing our dog, as well!!Employees are still great too!

Came here this morning! Big space would be great for working. Staff was friendly! It was a bit of a wait but there were quite a few people, I didn't mind! They were selling local art by people which I loved I brought a little egg magnet home!I tried their speciality drink the iced horchata. So delicious! I want to come back and try the golden milk!

About a 1-1.5: Oromo Cafe has another location in Bucktown, but considering how pleasant that experience was, I was surprised with the Lincoln Square one.We were in the area, and we decided to stop by to get a caffeine fix with some of their pastries offering.Unfortunately, the place was just so chaotic and inefficient. It's definitely smaller in space than Bucktown's, and the staff here are not that friendly. We were surprised, as this place had high ratings, and it definitely seems like a favorite amongst the locals.Metered street parking in the area.+inefficient service +unfriendly staff +metered street parking available

I got Turkish coffee for the first time! It was an experience--chocolate spoon was delicious too. I also had the golden milk. Not my favorite, but I love the number of plant, vegan milks and drinks they had. It showed the thought and care they put into the menu selection. Customers were really friendly--I shared a table with 2 different people. Highly recommend trying the pastries. Great cafe to crank out some work.

Great cafe in Lincoln Square. I don't know how long it's been here but somehow I've missed it. I drive through Lincoln Square today and there was a parking space basically right outside so I decided it was kismet.I ordered an apple pecan chai latte and it was good. The kind of chai most places have is pretty standard and really the only thing that tends to change is the type or concentration of spices that's in it. This was an entirely different flavor profile; definitely not something that comes from a concentrate. I was afraid it would be heavy on the nutty flavor but it wasn't at all. The apple gave it a hint of sweetness and it is a great fall drink. They make authentic Turkish coffee. I don't drink coffee and have only ever tasted it once or twice in my life, once being in Istanbul--it's definitely a departure from standard American coffee. It was interesting watching the employee make it whilst I waited. In addition to the drinks, I ordered spicy potato pogocha and a feta and dill pogocha. The potato was excellent, but the feta/dill was disappointing. I'd get the potato again in a heartbeat and definitely get them warmed up or warm them at home. The place was bustling when I stopped in around noon on a Tuesday. It's not especially large but they do have several tables and counter-height seating near the window. Because it's Lincoln Square, parking is a joke (especially since they've chosen to destroy the parking lot for shops), but you might get lucky like I did if you happen to drive here; otherwise, but Brown Line's Western stop is less than a block away.

This place is too cute! I only stopped in for a quick coffee and to chat with a friend, but from what I did experience I really enjoyed. It was bustling around 11am on a Friday with nearly all chairs and tables filled. There is a really wonderful menu -- and I wish I spent a little more time looking it over before visiting. Instead, I asked the barista for a recommendation and he happily obliged, suggesting the shakerato. It's espresso and simple syrup shaken with ice and served over milk. The espresso was strong but not overpowering or bitter. The milk and simple syrup added just the right amount of sweet and creaminess. A perfect iced caffeine kick for a summer day! I would love to explore more of the creative drink options on upcoming visits -- the cold brew + hazelnut truffle blended drink is calling my name.

Such a cute coffee shop gem right on Lincoln Ave! Found this shop looking for a quick spot before a cooking class on the same street, and was happy to see how many options Oromo has from smoothies to coffee to matcha, even offering pastries and small bites like the avocado toast (pictured). I went with the pistachio strawberry smoothie (they were unfortunately out of pistachio, so subbed for oat milk) and it was refreshing, light, and fruity. I also ordered the avocado toast with a sunny side egg ($2 upcharge) on gluten free toast. Super yummy and if you like your sunny side up runny, you would love it here. A few seating options inside, but from other reviews it looks like they also have a back patio, so I would definitely try that out next time. Overall recommend!

I really wasn't a fan of this place. I stopped in for lunch since I was staying right in Lincoln Square. I ordered an oat milk latte that tasted entirely of milk. I also got some lentil soup and it was so watery and lacked so much flavor. I don't even think there was lentils in there...??? I will not be back.

Definitely go here. This is my favorite coffee spot i've been to in Chicago. The inside is super cute and cozy, and the place is just a breath of fresh air. Service was quick and everyone was very kind. I had the horchata latte and it was my favorite coffee I've had. The food was all interesting and different options. I had the date truffle and it was incredible. I'll def. go back!!

I wanted to love this place but the matcha with pistachio milk was completely undrinkable. It was very bitter and expensive for something that immediately got thrown out. Nice ambiance in the cafe and I can't speak to the rest of the menu, but unfortunately this was so bad I'm not sure that I will be back.
