I stopped in at Orlando's Southern Barbecue for a bite to eat today.I was out "getting my steps in" when I realized I was hungry (but that's really an always kind of thing) so I decided that Orlando's was a good place to eat.I stopped at the ordering counter that is just inside the front door, and placed my order for a pulled pork sandwich with an order of coleslaw and a peach cobbler dessert.Truth be known, I tried to order Fried Okra with my sandwich, but I was informed that I had to choose from the list of sides. Unfortunately the fried okra was not on that list When I placed my order I was told that all their meats have sauce that is placed in a 3 ounce cup so I could use as much or little sauce as I wanted. My order was brought to my table very quick and I ate it down even faster! My sandwich included pickles and onions on the side and I heaped them on top of the pork and then covered everything with the sauce! After wolfing down the sandwich and devouring the coleslaw I inhaled the peach cobbler. Mmm... so tasty!I got to Orlando's around 3 pm and I was almost the only customer. I was one of 7 customers and was able to pick the table of my choice. There are several seating areas that I saw. If you're over 21 you can choose to sit in the bar area. Otherwise you have to choose the general seating area. The other seating area looks to be a more formal dining area with larger tables. The staff is very friendly and helpful making my dining experience the best I had in a while.

Got the brisket. It was pretty dry in my opinion. But the creamed corn was pretty good. The service was pretty slow when it was not even busy. We asked for some sauce and the response was kinda interesting but they did bring a couple of sauces. I'd say it's pretty mediocre but it's not Texas or the Midwest so i guess it's decent for the area.

I discovered this restaurant through yelp. I have been back three times in two weeks even though i live a Ferry ride away. The food is very good, they have plenty of room, and service is pretty good. I had an adult beverage on several visits, which very affordably priced.Barbara the bartender was awesome. The bar has three pool tables.

I drove 2.5 hours from Tacoma just to eat here and this place is absolutely amazing! The ambiance is perfect for lunch or dinner. The food is phenomenal! This is the place you need to experience for real soul found in the PNW! Ms. Jackie (CEO and owner) clearly puts love into every dish that is prepared. The food was so good and filling, that I felt like I was sitting at my mom and grandma's house. Yes, it really is that good. Every single item on the plate is tremendously, impossibly great! Please visit this place if you want to eat great food. The experience is well worth it! Words simply cannot fully describe how happy your taste buds and tummy will be.

Crazy good BBQ *but* the sides are stars in and of themselves. While visiting family in the area they recommended we try Orlando's. By the time my aunt went to pick it up, they were out of their much-requested bourbon bbq sauce. If you want to try it, PRO TIP: go early. We had the ribs, macaroni and cheese, greens, candied yams, and cornbread. Man, oh, man. There are very few places in the Pacific Northwest that remind me of the barbecue joints of my former hometown of Atlanta. Orlando's is one of them. The ribs are deliciously fall-off-the-bone. They gave us two sauces: original and Mike's, which has mustard in it. We liked the original the best. Mike's was a tad too peppery for us; but if you like that peppery flavor, you'd like Mike's the best. The candied yams are to die for. The greens are well seasoned and the macaroni and cheese deserves an honorable mention. Even the cornbread is good.On a quiet Sunday it seemed like nobody was there, but that's because people were calling and ordering online. I suggest ordering in advance. We can't wait to go back and try the bourbon sauce and have a meal here again. I'm glad our family suggested Orlando's. We'll be back the next time we're in Oak Harbor!

I have been raving about this place to everyone I know. The food was mouth watering, delicious, fresh, and hands down the best BBQ I've ever had in Washington. The ambiance, environment, and people were absolutely incredible and the place was huge! The bar itself was enormous and I had an amazing lemon drop that tasted like fresh squeezed lemonade. Now, let's talk meats. My man and I got the same plate and had absolutely zero complaints. (Actually we were sad we didn't order more but that's on us!) The ribs just fell off the bone and were so incredibly tender. The pulled pork was delicious and that bbq sauce was the perfect touch to add on top. Oh my goodness that brisket was delectable! And that Mac n cheese was the perfect amount of creamy and flavorful. We are already looking forward to the next time we go back!

This was one of those "all over the place" kind of experiences. My friend and I showed up on a Sunday afternoon around 1:00pm thinking the place would be crowded, but it was pretty much a ghost town. Despite the lack of patrons, service was painfully slow, albeit friendly. It didn't help that there was one server who was also running the front of the house. Part of me wondered if she was also doing the cooking. The food was a real rollercoaster ride. The brisket and coleslaw were very good. The pulled pork and cornbread were mediocre. The green beans with potatoes and the peach cobbler were disappointing. They were out of iced tea--huh? You're not busy, how about making more?As far as ambiance was concerned, the place is sprawling--far too big considering the lack of traffic. The good news is that it was clean. In sum, go with the brisket and coleslaw, and be ready for a wait.
