My husband and I grabbed lunch at Zaza's the other day and we had a good experience. The self serve kiosks are easy to use and quick. The decor inside is minimal and clean. We split a fountain drink, ham croquettes, picadollo, maduros, Cuban toast, and yellow rice with red beans, and a quesito. My husband loves the ham croquettes, but they're not really my thing. The rest of the meal was amazing. Their picadollo has the perfect amount of seasoning and the perfect texture, not too wet or dry and not overly spiced with nutmeg. The maduros were perfectly sweet. The Cuban toast is a crispy, butter treat. The quesito was the perfect mix of cream cheese, sweet dough, and crispy sugar coating. My only wish was that the quesito would have been served warm instead of cold. The flavors really pop when its warmed up a bit.Rating from an F to an A+++, I give it an A++.

Although I've never dined inside the restaurant, we often receive empanadas and Quesitos from a vendor who brings them as a gift for using his services on various projects at our building. This vendor frequently orders take-out from this particular location several times a year, bringing us a variety of delicious treats.Typically, we receive 6-7 of each type of empanada: Chicken, Beef, and Queso Blanco Empanadas ($2.80 each), along with a box of Quesitos ($2.80 each). Our vendor always raves about the friendly service and the quality of the food.I'm a big fan of the empanadas, especially when paired with their Cubaioli sauce, though I've noticed I often experience indigestion and heartburn afterward. It could be the ingredients or the oil used for frying, so I've learned to limit myself to just one to avoid the aftereffects. That said, I've never had any issues with the Quesitos, which are absolutely delicious. The sweet drizzle, crispy sugary crust, and creamy center are irresistible! The pricing is similar to the Lake Mary location. While lunch and dinner platters can be on the pricier side, there are more affordable options such as bowls, sandwiches, soups, and breakfast items, ranging from $8 to $11, which are great for anyone looking to save a bit. However, during our most recent order, something went awry. The Quesitos arrived in a bit of a mess, with some broken open and stuck together due to being placed hot in the box. It was a bit frustrating to deal with once we received them. My suggestion would be to layer the Quesitos with parchment paper to keep them separated and avoid this issue during delivery.Despite the hiccup this time, I would still recommend Zaza's if you're in the area. While I'm no Cuban food expert, it's a solid choice if you're craving Cuban comfort food. If you haven't been yet, I highly recommend stopping by on your next visit to the area!

I recently stopped by Zaza Cuban Comfort while in the area and craving an empanada. I had tried their food at a sensory event not long ago, and I still remember how flavorful and well-seasoned the chicken empanada was--so I knew I had to visit! This time, I ordered the cinnamon white chocolate coffee, which was absolutely delicious. It was smooth, perfectly sweetened, and paired wonderfully with the empanada. Speaking of empanadas, they were tasty as always, but I was a little disappointed to receive mostly beef when I specifically requested two chicken and only got one.The ordering process was quick and easy, thanks to the kiosk with clear pictures that made selecting my items simple. The atmosphere felt like a cozy coffee shop, which I loved. I'll definitely be back soon to enjoy more coffee and Cuban bites!

Central florida native who moved away but recently visited home for a few days and had Zaza multiple times over my short visit! The iced coffee drinks are a must on a hot day - I had an iced cafresco drink almost every morning. They also have an afternoon coffee happy hour where they are bogo - great pick me up!Super consistent food and service, you really can't go wrong. I tried the breaded chicken sandwich with fries... the fries are so good and crunchy. Also loved the avena and an empanada in the morning! Kind service and good vibes, will definitely visit again

Had a great time here! I am Cuban so I am picky when it comes to Cuban food. This did not disappoint! My husband and I both got the lechon asado with rice and beans. I asked if I could swap out the maduros for tostones and it was no problem at all! The food came out quick and was delicious! The pork also had no fat which I really appreciated. We also ordered a beef empanada (not pictured) and it was GREAT! It came with some sort of garlic cilantro sauce which was super flavorful and tasty. The price was fair and the atmosphere was very chill with low volume cuban music playing. We had a great experience and will definitely be returning!

I order from Zaza all the time in my lunch breaks! They never mess up my order and always package everything nicely. Everytime I'm craving a good coffee and latin food I order from here. They have things they do well and things that definitely need improvement. The coffee here is amazing and you can't go wrong ordering it. It's soooo good! My favorite is the Iced Cafe con Leche w Caramel. The food here is not spectacular but it's pretty good if you're craving Spanish food and not many options nearby. The beans here, red or black, have no flavor. Literally taste like they're from the can. Rice is okay here. The maduros are great and they make huge tostones! The Shredded Chicken in the Pollo Bowl is literal mush and the Mojo Chicken is good but tastes like frozen chicken. Ropa Vieja was okay. The Cuban sandwiches here are really good and pretty big. Also you have to order a quesito everytime you come here, they are amazing!!Don't go in expecting abuelas cooking and you will be fine. I will definitely still be ordering from here on my lunch break. I would recommend getting a coffee, a Cuban sandwich, and a quesito.

Just in case you're looking for fresh and great quality empanadas, you have found it. I stopped by for a quick bite and enjoyed the friendliness of the staff. It was during their rush hour, and it was such a great experience. I even went ahead and grabbed a guava pastry just to give them a try. I will say that after trying the chicken empanada, I was amazed by how much flavor was within. I started to dance with each bite of it, the one I had. It was a nice crunch and hearty bite. The guava pastry was warm and flaky as it should be. Each bite had nice flakes of pastry all over my clothing. Lol If anyone knows the secret of eating them without the flake mess, let me know. Definitely would recommend this establishment.

We moved out of Florida 2 years ago and came back for vacation. Our first stop was Zazas in Altamonte because it was our absolute favorite place. We ordered our usual and the quality of everything was just so poor. The chicken was rubbery, rice was not cooked all the way, and beans had no flavor. The empanadas were barely full and we were so disappointed. I don't know if they've changed food vendors or maybe budget cut backs but it's not the same place it was.

Not worth the long wait!!! Food is good but not good enough to wait at min 20 min for empanadas. Service is usually rude with a fake smile. Only reason I come in is the convenient location.
