I am seriously impressed by this place. It's a rather unassuming diner in the Islands of Adventure. Over the counter service with a limited menu of burgers and chicken fingers.I had the Wellington Cheeseburger and a side of chicken fingers. Yeah it's pricey at $16.49 and $12.49, but everything inside Universal is pricey! If you're trying to maximize your time inside Universal, this place more than fits your bill for a quick fast food place.Again, for theme park burger and chicken finger standards this place more than does the job. Don't expect fine dining quality here.

First, I want to say that I am not a burger fan, I have to be in the mood for a burger, but this place is fantastic! This is another spot my wife and I never visit. It is located in Island of Adventure at Universal Orlando, in the back sort of, next to Pluto's Barge water ride. You will need a park ticket in order to eat here though. I think this is also a hidden gem that no one is talking about. It honestly might be missed if you are not looking for it. MY wife and I are on a mission to try all the food locations and bars and drinks and food at Universal and Disney. We came here recently and shared a sandwich. This is Wimpy's, themed after the comic book and their menu is pretty small. It is an outdoor quick service location with no indoor seating. Most of the tables are covered with an umbrella. It is only open for lunch and dinner, but I feel like I have seen this location closed during park hours. I'm not sure if their hours are consistent but I would recommend stopping here if its open. Their menu is very limited, only serving 1 burger options, a veggie burger and chicken fingers. However, their fries are curly fries which are seasoned. I have never seen curly fries at a theme park in Orlando, but we loved this. There are also a few beers, 2 desserts and soda/water. Our goal was to try the cheeseburger, we had read about it and again didn't hear a ton of talk about it, so we wanted to try it. The Wellington Cheeseburger Platter: cheddar cheese, tomato, lettuce, pickle, onions, mayo ketchup. We did ask for the onions and mayo ketchup on the side, which was no issue for the staff. It took about 10 minutes to get so I know it was made fresh, probably because we wanted something left off the burger. This burger was fantastic and surprisingly really good. It was not your typical theme park burger, it was thick, juicy, large and really good. And again, I am not a huge fan of burgers. The pickles were the longer thin pickles, and it had thick cut slices of tomatoes. There was also cheese on the burger, but next time, I would order extra cheese. It sort of melted away into the burger. The curly fries were crispy and seasoned and very good. I enjoy curly fries more than other fries. The family next to us ordered the chicken fingers, and they looked super crispy, very bready but looked as though it had a decent amount of chicken. I would try this next time. Overall, this is a great stop. The menu is extremely limited, seating is completely outside but I still think this is underrated. In the summer this might be a nightmare. Toon Lagoon does have an indoor quick service location pretty close by, so you could probably take your food over there if you wanted to sit inside. For a theme park, this was probably the best burger I have had. It was very good and a place you should check out. Aces!

Wimpy's is located in Island of Adventure at Universal Orlando. You will need a park ticket in order to eat here. This is a hidden gem of a restaurant. In all honesty, you would probably miss it, if you didn't know it existed. We visited here recently on a day my husband and I wanted to try some hidden items at Island of Adventure. This was a stop we had on our list. This stop is an outdoor quick service location. It is located in Toon Lagoon towards the back, it is sort of across from the entrance to Pluto's Barge water ride. It is only open for lunch and dinner and has an extremely limited menu. It is also all outside, there are no tables inside, but most of them have covering. The first thing I love about this restaurant is they serve curly fries!! I love curly fries, and I am pretty sure it is the only place I have seen curly fries at both Universal and Disney! As I said their menu is extremely limited. They only serve 1 burger, a veggie burger and chicken fingers. They also have drinks, 2 desserts and two types of beer. We went to try the Wellington Cheeseburger Platter: cheddar cheese, tomato, lettuce, pickle, onions, mayo ketchup. We asked for the onions and mayo ketchup on the side. This burger was fantastic and surprisingly so yummy! This was not your typical theme park burger, it was thick, it was juicy, it was good. The pickles were the longer thin pickles and thick cut slices of tomatoes. It was really good. It did have cheese, but I think next time, I will add extra cheese. The curly fries were crispy and seasoned a tad, normally how curly fries are. Overall, this is a great spot. I saw the chicken fingers and they were the crispy, very bready chicken tender, but they looked like they had a pretty good amount of chicken inside. My only reason for a 4 instead of 5 is there are 3 items on the menu and all the seating is outside and very limited. People were hovering around tables which was highly annoying. I would for sure come back here. To have a decent burger in a theme park is very rare and you will find it here. I would come back here and recommend it to others as well. I say check it out!

We had a great experience. It's a good place to grab a quick bite while at Universal. The food was hot and fresh. Staff was friendly and helpful. The facility was clean and well themed.

I read many reviews recommending this place, so I needed to give it a try. The service took a bit longer, and finding a seat was difficult, but it was a busy day in the park. The outside seats were fine, but it seemed that nobody was cleaning for a long time because the tables were dirty. The wellington cheese burger tasted ok. Unfortunately, the meat was overcooked, tasted dry, but the vegetables tasted fresh. The fries were fine but a bit cold.I hope for my next visit I get better luck.

I'm giving this place 4 stars. The only reason why it's not 5 is because there's no mobile order and there's no indoor seating area. When it's 100 outside, a nice ac while eating is good.As for the food itself, it's about the best burger in all quick service around universal parks. It's not the best burger in the world, but it's good. Way better than next door comic strip cafe or even the burger digs. It comes with curly fries which are also good and the best, it's cheaper than the burger and fries combo at other locations but about 3 to $4. I took the burger with the include sauce. There's other offering at this place but I haven't tried them. If you want a burger, I highly suggest trying this place in the park.

It's not often you find a good, quick service burger these days. Well, here it is guys!We have passes to UO and honestly, never been to this section before, we aren't big water ride fans. However we learned of the little play area for kids and decided to check it out and came across this location. The only downfalls is that there is no mobile ordering and because it's by the water rides, all the tables are taken up by people trying to dry their clothes off. Took us 20 minutes to get a table and then had to hunt down a worker to clean the table off. Considering it's quick service and we know they usually have open seating or no seating I decided not to let this affect the rating, but just be aware. The service was ok, not a long interaction but nothing spectacular either. The burger was great by any standards but as a theme park quick service, it was amazing! Our kids also loved the chicken fingers. We were very happy with this location and look forward to coming back for more!

I really like the cheeseburger at Wimpy's they put out a delicious burger for a theme park stand. The cooks do a great job. I wish the counter people would be more consistent. It's frustrating to watch them putting together inconsistent portions of fries, serving food out of order received and letting food die while they fumble around. Still a solid choice for a burger.

We went here after reading several glowing reviews. It was OK... 97.00 for a family of four . It's decent for park food, however the burger was dry and the curly fries were average at best.

Pretty dry and overcooked, guess I should have tempered my expectations given that this is inside a theme park, despite the oddly stellar reviews stating the opposite. $18 burger and fries that can easily be split with someone since it's a large enough portion at least but the meat isn't well distributed so one of us got more than the other after cutting it.
