West End Trading Company

Visited to see Soulswitch and a few other local bands. I've never been to Westend & I was looking forward to checking the place out. I bought tickets online in advance which was a super easy & efficient transaction. Found the venue easily enough even as a first time visitor. Employee at the door was friendly, quickly found my tickets and provided wristbands for entry. Inside the music space, it's dark and standing room only (at least for this show). I noticed a few guests found some seats around the perimeter of the room. There's a small bar & restrooms near the stage The show was great and the sound quality was very good, no complaints. I really enjoy smaller venues with artists who interact with the crowd. It makes the event so much more enjoyable and memorable. When I left the show and exited through the front room, I noticed the vibrant scene of 20-something's laughing & having a great night while the DJ played electronic music. The place was really packed! Definitely a spot to check out if you're looking for some night life in Sanford.

Used to go here from 2015-2019 before Covid. Ever since then, the place has become mainstream as all get out. Yeah the locals still fill it up every week, but they have a limited 2for1 schedule now and the concerts there basically create an atmosphere that is extremely unwelcoming if you aren't attending! lol...all good, they are good people who are always respectful and hard working!

We went here to see the Rocky horror picture show, which was an amazing performance. The actors were super diverse and very talented. We enjoyed the theater, even though it's a little small, but it's very personal, which makes for a great experience. The only thing was that it was very hot and the theater and wish the AC was a little bit stronger Snacks and drinks, nostalgic, classic theater vibe.

West End is one of my favorite local bars! I've visited multiple times and it's always a great time. West End has great deals, offer live music on certain days, have plenty of room to sit inside or outside. It's a really nice vibe. The service is always good too! Definitely worth a visit.

Local bar in Sanford. Live music in the back room. We came here last night to see Liliac. A band of brothers and sisters from Los Angeles California. There were two other bands before them and we noticed right away that the sound was not good. The back area is pretty nice with a pretty good size stage. The other room has a few games and a bar and then as you go into the other room there's another bar with tables. Sometimes they have a band in the front as well. They have a good happy hour.This bar has been here for a very long time. It's what you would call I guess a Dive bar. I don't go here much but I was happy to see one of my favorite bands right in my own backyard. Thank you West End.On the weekends in Sanford it can get pretty busy so get there early to get a good parking spot there is street parking and also a parking lot right next to the West End. All the other bars and restaurants are all in walking distance. You can easily spend 3 to 4 hours checking out all Sanford has to offer.

Fun spot! Amazing, quick service- Amanda took great care of us! The wings were really good and great prices on beer. Nice selection of liquors, and live music! They host a ton of events too.

Amazing people behind the bar!! The bartender we had was working her first day. I was asking about the drafts and she let me try some of the different draft options they have. There is a small stage in the front for bands to play. The music was a mix of reggae and alternative music so it was right up my alley. Cool vibe with cool artwork. The outside does not do this place justice!!Happy hour is amazing. Bogo on everything!!

Food was good, ambience brought me back to my 20'a and the boho was fun! Full bar and great service!

The West End Trading Company is a staple here in Sanford Florida. You have not gone "bar hopping" in Sanford unless you popped in here for the best deal in town. Two-For-One-Drinks until 7:00pm Daily. The West End always has some of the best brewed beers on draft. Most of the Brew's are $5 to $5.50 so that is a great deal compared to most other establishments in the area. The West End is also Pet friendly so don't leave your best friend at home.This is a Dive bar so it is not fancy by any means (especially the bathrooms). However, the West End Trading Company is one of Sanford's largest contributors to community gatherings/events and without their support, we would not be doing as well as we have over the past 10 years. Additionally, the West End is the only other venue in the area (other than the Alley) who brings in the variety of musicians and bands from across the country whom play "original music". Great job!On 11-24-19, We stopped in for Sanford's Annual Sofa and Suds hosted by A Mediocre Time with Tom and Dan. The address for the event was 202 S. Sanford Ave which is the West End Trading Company's address. The VIP area which included all the contestants prep stations, tents and conveyances were actually on West Ends Property, so I guess I am giving the West End props for this review.Tom and Dan's Sofas and Suds has been going on in Sanford for several years now. This time around it was located on Palmetto and 2nd street. This is an event that seems to get bigger every year. Local businesses race modified couches against one another in an effort to secure the Sofa and Suds trophy and bragging rights until the next annual event. People from all over Florida come to see this event and it is a great time to meet local peeps in the process. I love that we are able to just grab a beer or drink of choice and walk around the event to mingle with other event goers. There are several bars, breweries and restaurants in the immediate location that visitors can patron as well. The event started at 2pm and went on until 6pm. I like that fact that there are breaks in between races that allow for ample time to grab another Brewskie. I also enjoyed that there are multiple viewing locations available to see the race. If you have never been to this event, definitely mark you calendar for this time next year. If you have never visited the West End Trading Company or even heard of them, look them up and stop in for a visit on you next trip to Sanford.

Was harassed for having a West Virginia drivers license when trying to buy a drink. Bar tender and manager were both on power trips. Wish I could leave a zero star review.
