In Vicki Vallencourt we pray - loved the fun saint candle style glass my drink came in!Voodoo Bayou gives the voo doo vibes with the southern food main event!I came in with some friends for brunch. The crab cake benny with watermelon salad was perfect on a summer day! Loved the spice mixed with the fresh seafood & salad. For dessert its a no brainer to get the beignets.

This spot is definitely hit or miss when it comes to the food. When they get the fried green tomatoes right, they're amazing--but that's not always the case. The gator tail, on the other hand, is consistently great. You can skip the Cajun meatballs--not bad, just nothing special. The watermelon and apple salad is a standout: fresh, flavorful, and beautifully balanced. However, avoid the mushroom bolognese at all costs--it was dry and completely lacking in flavor. The Cajun carbonara is delicious, especially if you add steak (highly recommend that upgrade). Unfortunately, the chicken and waffles were a letdown--bland and forgettable--but the fried chicken sandwich is a winner. For drinks, the Lavender Love Spell is my favorite. They also have a separate area they call a speakeasy. While I wouldn't exactly call it that, it is a cute space with great food and drinks. The Roka Hula menu is definitely worth checking out.For dessert, the monkey bread with the ice cream was so good but also sometimes hit or miss. Service has always been solid, the pricing is fair for the area, and the decor is perfectly on theme with the restaurant's name. All the food and drink presentations are beautiful and well thought out. Overall, some dishes shine while others fall flat, but there are definitely some gems worth coming back for!

A+ for the experienceWhatA couple of friends and I went and got a number of items to try. It definitely was a good experience which made everything tastier...? We got a 2 rolls, a couple of drinks and more appetizers,. The only incident I remember is that the edamame was cooked in butter and has cheese, cause I am avoiding dairy so I was able to spot the cheese to remove but didn't realize that they butter up the edamame...EnvironmentSpeak easy! Very fun entrance, but could get tiring. Needs reservations though. Ill keep how to enter up to your guessingNiceness of the staffI am a little disappointed that when mentioning to remove the cheese on the edamame they didn't realize that they needed to also remove the butter on it.. but they were able to take care of this quickly, just would've hoped this was done on the first go.I wish that the menu has more dietary indicators i.e dairy call outs especially.Dollarit was quite expensive, good for the experienceYesI would go again for the experience.

Girls night was amazing. The place has soooooo many things to look at. Well thought out.The staff 10/10. Everyone that we came in contact with was knowledgeable and friendly. Food ... hit or miss. Most of it I enjoyed some not so much. The Mac and cheese was a definite no for me. Shrimp and grits - amazing Collard greens and chicken wasn't that bad, rice was okDrinks... looks super pretty but juicy and very pricey. Dessert... omg the beignets. We ordered some at the table and ordered some to go! The also have a speakeasy which takes you to the other restaurant Roka hula. Which i believe is Asian fused Didn't eat or drink anything on that side but safe to say I'll def be going back to try. Also make sure you take a picture in the chair at the entrance! Super cute photo opp

This was exactly what we needed after a long day at Universal. I had this boozy shake that doubled as a dessert. The salmon and scalloped potatoes each had their respective sauces and it was too good, very creamy and paired very well. My partner got the jambalaya and the flavors were very robust, you couldn't go wrong with it. He also got some drink (unsure what it is but it had Jimi Hendrix picture in it) and I believe it had whiskey but the drink was smooth and I'm not a whiskey drinker. The ambiance was nice and classy, the bartenders were a hoot and knew their stuff for the liquors. We were leaving as the live music started around 10 or 10:30 maybe but we loved what we heard. I'm dreaming of when I can return!

Service: AMAZING! Our team waitress Shelby was so friendly and attentive. She went above and beyond by suggesting great menu items and adjusting cocktails to fit my specific taste. Food: delicious! Everything is seasoned so well. The red beans and rice were def my favorite. They taste homemade, a bit of a kick, but it's great comfort food. The gumbo was also delicious! Packed with chicken and shrimp. The mushroom bolognese was different, nothing like I've had before. While tasty, it does get a bit one note after a couple of bites. Serving sizes are pretty good too! Ambiance: Very lively atmosphere for dinner. They have live music. Great for groups or even for date night. It's not super quiet, so keep that in mind, but overall great fun. They also have a speakeasy! The chairs in the waiting room spin into a hidden back door!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Voodoo Bayou in Orlando, FL, and from start to finish, it was a fantastic experience. This restaurant brings the heart and soul of Louisiana cuisine to Florida, delivering bold flavors and a lively atmosphere that made for an unforgettable meal.Starters:* BBQ Shrimp - Jumbo shrimp in a rich NOLA-style BBQ sauce with garlic, shallots, and a grilled baguette to soak it all up.* Famous Cornbread - Moist, flavorful, and elevated with honey butter and molasses.Cocktail:* The Mistress - A smooth blend of Brugal 1888, hibiscus, Chinola, lime, honey, and Li Hing Mui, served in their signature Elvira Tiki Mug.Entrée:* Jambalaya (with added crawfish) - A smoky, spicy mix of shrimp, andouille, chicken, okra, peppers, tomatoes, and Tasso ham--full of bold Cajun flavors.Dessert:* Beignets - Light, fluffy, and dusted with powdered sugar. A perfect sweet ending!Voodoo Bayou delivers big flavors and an authentic Southern vibe. Whether you're craving Cajun comfort food or just looking for a great cocktail, this spot is worth the visit. I'll definitely be back!

We've been to the location in West Palm Beach a few times so we thought we would try the Orlando location. We tried to get a reservation but none were available so we tried it as a walk in. Hostess told us it would be 45 minutes but the bar is open seating. She then volunteered that she could sit us at a hi-top. We took that. Good seat with a good sized table. The bar area is a bit elevated over the table area so you get a unobstructed view of the restaurant. We order smoked old fashioneds and corn bread to start. Shrimp and grits and shrimp & Crawfish ettouffe for our dinner.Food and service was good. I wish they would space out food delivery a bit. We were still working on our corn bread when the entrees were delivered. The bill includes 18% service which out waiter advised was the included tip A manager stopped by at the end of our meal. He mentioned that the restaurant's bar focuses on whiskey while the secret speakeasy is rum based. We took a quick peek at that. We will try that next time

Heyyyyyy you guys! I originally came here to the speak easy and it was pretty neat! I was able to come again for a bday dinner. We were a very large party and our server Ben more than on point. His service was exceptional. Damien at the bar has a great personality and mixology skills that are a 10 outta 10! The food was delicious from raw oysters to oysters Rockefeller, rib eye medium well with a beet and bacon side salad with a couple of cocktails to include a something salesman aka jalapeño margarita and a few lavender loves. It was great time, great service, great food. If you were thinking about it, take the plunge and visit!

First time experiencing Voodoo and we went friends for food and drinks. Reservations highly recommended especially for the weekends. The menu, both drinks and food, provides you with plenty of options. Lots of fun drink options, or you can order a "regular" drink of choice. The food tasted great and again plenty of options. We had the biscuits, cornbread and shrimp for appetizers; wings fried chicken and mushroom pasta; all delicious!Service was top notch! Fast, friendly, and well timed. Not overly fast either. Our server Thomas was amazing! Only slight less than 5 star for me / it's a little pricey. This isn't a regular weekend stop for me. It's definitely a cool place to take friends or family who are in town and want to experience something different.
