Great for what it is. The real attraction is the characters going around doing a meet and greet. The food was actually better than expected with one really odd shining star... don't sleep on the guava pastries. They look lackluster, but are amazing!

Out of the character dining restaurants that we have been to this far since becoming Disney pass-holders this location by far is the best. If your child thrives on the interactions with characters interacting with them at your table, posing for photos and signing autograph books than don't skip out on this restaurant. With that being said, if you were expecting impeccable, tasting delicious food this is not the place for you. In addition to the food our server was not the most attentive. They do have their own stroller parking section and have a one-way entrance and one way exit to get in and out of the restaurant. From the outside the restaurant does not appear to be as big as it is inside. To my surprise, I thought it was just 2 characters when in reality it's 4. Not only do they come to your table. They also break out into song and dance at certain times throughout your dining experience. Please note, you may not approach a character and ask for a photo unless they are at your table. My husband learned the hard way, but the Disney worker was graciously very kind and allowed it to slide. I thought it was a sit down restaurant where the food is brought to you but it's a Buffet style. It reminded me a bit like BOMA at Animal Kingdom Lodge. What I did like is like many other Disney properties and restaurants they gave me a separate Allergan guide, so I knew what exactly I could have at the restaurant that was safe for my wheat allergy. If I base my rating solely on the experience of my child had it would be 5/5 stars. The food was 3/5 stars. Overall experience 4 stars.

I give this review 2 stars because you do get to see characters for about 30 seconds each at your table. If that's what you come for this is your place. Otherwise, It appears the buffet choices have been cut in half. The disappointment is not just the $54 price tag for adult or $30 some for 3-9 year olds, but the quality has seriously gone down!!! The choices are limited. The round table of desserts is so disappointing. After years of coming to the Animal Kingdom buffet, this will be my last.

A restaurant that one must make a reservation to. A character breakfast that is a buffet of many breakfast items. Characters include goofy, Mickey, Donald Duck. Located in African area. Food was good with many of your buffet foods you would find in a breakfast. Service was also good and prices were not bad for a Disney experience. Approximately $38 for adults and $23 for kids. But the kid's enjoyment is priceless. When you go to Disney, a character breakfast is something that is an experience to take in and Tuskerhouse is a great place to go!!!
