Great food and great prices! They have a curry chicken lunch special that's pictured at the top for only 6.99! You really can't beat that. I got a side of Mac for about $4 and a cornbread for about $1.50. The oxtail pictured is $23 and came with 3 sides! They charge you $2 for extra gravy though and the "extra" gravy was almost nonexistent. You really can't beat these prices though and the food was delicious too. Not the best oxtail I've ever had but still great. The interior is very nice so I'll have to come back to dine in for sure!

So, I've been here twice and waited to review because I don't like writing negative reviews. All in all, I will say that the idea behind this restaurant and the intentions are A+. I love that there are Caribbean fusion dishes, the presentation is pretty, and the drinks are very reasonably priced. I would revisit for the budget-friendly drinks, but probably alone as I was pretty embarrassed coming here with someone and receiving the service that we did. Both times I've walked in, I was yelled to from the bartender whether I was taking out or sitting at the bar (confusing question because I wanted to sit at a table). In her defense, this sit down restaurant also has a takeout window for those ordering to go.The first time I visited, I came for happy hour and sat at the bar. The bartender, Abby, took my order. The rate at which she began to make my drinks was EXTREMELY slow. I even waved her down to ask if she could make my drinks first, then figured out how to enter my takeout order into her handheld system. Even after she entered the order, it took her 10 minutes to open a bottle of beer and make a margarita (there were no other drink orders currently waiting). They have a HUGE deal on their happy hour items--I ordered jerk wings and oxtail sushi (the picture is on the background of the appetizer section of the menu). She said they don't sell jerk wings (to which I pointed to the menu) and said they were out of the oxtail sushi. I ordered the oxtail bao instead. The fusion items are very creative and the margarita was good. The second time I visited, I sat at a table. I ordered two appetizers as my meal (again, they did not have the oxtail sushi)--the jerk wings and the oxtail bao, and my date ordered the jerk burger with no fixings. We also ordered two margaritas--Abby was behind the bar again. This time, there was a DJ (maybe on Friday nights). My date's burger came out incorrectly, without my meal. It was taken back to the kitchen to be fixed--and was fixed incorrectly. A sweet girl, I don't remember her name, came to bring out my appetizer wings. She had wonderful customer service and later on I was told that she's worked in the hotel industry before. Then, our drinks came.. then my other appetizer came. The wings were very pink on the inside and the bao was overcooked and tough (and somehow when I dined in I received two bao but the take out order had three). The fries were really good and I wish the burger was a little bigger for the size of the bun.I DO intend to revisit sometime in the future because I love to support black businesses, but I certainly hope they make some changes. It was a little off putting that the windows are so huge with no shading at night and the lights remain very bright as well. I'll try again for a third time, though, because I do think this place has a lot of potential.

As much as I wanted to provide a 5 star review for this venue, it fell short in every single category imaginable! My friend and I arrived at about 8:15 to a lively crowd, and that was the very last thing left to be desired. I ordered a simple rum and ginger ale, and advised they had no Ginger ale, no worries, Ill have a rum and seltzer, and was advised there was no seltzer. What working bar in the history of bars doesn't have seltzer water on tap. I settled for a rum and lime juice. When the drink arrived, there was no rum. Smh. While waiting to be serviced, the management team looked more excited about dancing and snapping pictures for IG instead of tending to waiting customers. Nonetheless, the manager solved my no rum issue with a shot on the side. All was forgiven, UNTIL my friend recieved her meal on traditional, dine in plated dishes, my food was brought out in A TO GO CONTAINER!! At an establishment where food is not cheap, the disrespect of bringing my food out in a to go container was embarrassing! I was absolutely mortified! At this moment I asked for the manager, and was provided a "supervisor" who advised all meals brought out after 9:30 would be brought out in a to go container. Not only was I not advised, it was the most low budget, poor hospitality experience I've ever had in my life! To add insult to injury, I ordered my food more than an hour in advance, therefore should have received proper dine in treatment. Trying to justify it made it worse. Idc what time you close, servcing the customer to the highest level should always be at the forefront of any business, especially food service. Waffle house uses plates at 5am, there's no excuse! Needless to say, there are way better establishments to enjoy Jamaican cuisine. Mark's on University and Caribbean Sunshine Bakery to name a few! Grand opening, grand closing. Never again!

Okayyyyy, I was so excited to come here and had HIGH HIGH hopes for this one. First off, I'm Loving the renovations!!! Drove by and didn't even recognize the building. BEAUTIFULLY DONE!! There were quite a few things wrong that I need to address: 1) I wanted a rum punch so bad at that very nice looking bar but no one was there to serve us. The bartender just didn't show up and I guess they don't have a backup person. So yea, I didn't like that. 2) You need a key to get in the bathroom which can be a long wait when there's a line to get back to the window. 3) No hot sauce or any condiments out so if you need one, guess what, back in line. The main issue is......I wasn't impressed with the food at all. We both ordered a large oxtail w peas n rice. Rice was still a little crunchy and the oxtail had zero flavor and a little burnt. I guess it wasn't the cook's day. So we're about to take our plates home and revamp it with some oxtail seasonings and sauce (which I hate doing when I already paid for someone else to do it). The service was good we'll just try one more time when they have a little more staff on duty. Maybe it will be a better experience.

A lot of the Jamaican restaurants near me are closed on Sundays but I've dined here before and the food was good. I ordered the curry chicken but they were out so I got stewed chicken instead. Stewed chicken, cabbage, rice and pear with oxtail gravy. I also got a side of mac and cheese. The entree was delicious, the only downside was the amount of tiny bones that were in the meat. The Mac and cheese looked like it had been sitting out for a while but it was hot and pretty tasty. Just tasted like they used a different kind of cheese than regular macaroni. The girl that took my order was very nice and made sure my order was fast and correct. The inside was empty but it was pristine; very clean and nicely set up. I would go and dine in for lunch or dinner.

Heyyyyyy you guyssssss! Found this place and really enjoyed our time here. Modern design, happy hour Friday 6-10, DJ plays various generes but Island vibes for sure which was truly appreciated: They have an indoor restaurant with a drive thru in case you just want some good food. The staff was so friendly, super attentive and a true pleasure. The bartender was very sweet, great convo and she was a good mixologist. We had a few apps and each one was better than the last. Can't wait to go back, it was a grown folks vibe, mixed crowd, lots of couples just lounging and having a good time. Hookah was available as well when chilling on the outdoor patio. Look forward to going back for sure. Don't just take my word for it, if your looking for good eats, authentic flavor, friendly atmosphere, low key chill spot this is it! Hurry in you won't be disappointed.

Best tasting Jamaican food in Orlando, service has been great everytime i visit and the place is clean!!!. I came for happy hour this is my fourth time at Happy hour, appetizers are 50% off on some days but I've only been on Fridays with the DJDRINKS: Ive had all the cocktails on the menu and the pink panty is my standout favorite, the bar like all spots when busy can be a little slow but my drinks have been strong and right every single time! FOOD: I've had the pineapple skewers, flavor was good but I wished it had more pineapplesOxtail Bao was my personal favorite and I have 6 each time I've visited, they melt away in your mouth with a hint of spice at the end.I've had the coconut shrimp which was good, I like the dipping sauce. Fried snapper is what I usually order and I've never left with a to go box it's that good AMBIANCE: I came and noticed they closed off the walk up area which I think is an excellent idea, I love the lounge concept they are planning on doing, the restaurant is really clean, bathrooms are clean and staff seemed attentive in cleaning tables etc. Their attire was also professional unlike so many other Jamaican spots I've been to where they wear anything they want. There are a few areas they are working on like a permanent hostess at the front etc all In all it's a wonderful spot and they make you feel welcomed. I read another review complaining about weird things like lights being bright and and the windows being big etc i really wish we gave our own people the same grace we give bigger establishments. Sometimes its not worth leaving the reviews to tear small businesses down especially now!
