The Vegan Hot Dog Cart

The toppings combinations are creative and tasty and I love that they are open late for thise night cravings.

I'd give it negative five stars if I could. Usually a permanent location is an upgrade, but here it was definitely not. It was nearly impossible to get the bartenders to give me my food. There were employees blocking the entrance to pick it up yourself also. There's zero instruction on how to get it after ordering. The bar is filthy and the bathrooms have no toilet paper and no toilet seats. All around disgusting, would not suggest. They were out of everything but the Cincinnati. It also tells you the Cincinnati is one price, then up charges you for ingredients that come on the hot dog already. Super sketchy all around.

Christian makes a great hotdog. Very cool dive bar. If you're looking for a place to feel comfortable, have a beer/drink and eat some delicious bar food, you've come to the right place!

Ordered delivery and was very disappointed. The hotdog was so tiny and the bun was entirely too huge, it was cold, bland, and the Cincinnati dog on the menu lists a bunch of ingredients but all that was on my order was a tiny squirt of cheese sauce. Not sure what happened to the chili! I miss the times when the vegan hot dog cart was an actual cart posted up on the sidewalk late at night making fresh hotdogs on the stove. Sadly the quality has gone way down.

I placed an order and after waiting for a half hour they told me it wasn't coming. Don't bother coming here

The absolute best late night munchies after a concert or drinks with friends. Usually located in downtown Orlando by Sly Fox or Gringos Locos. Whether you are vegan or not their dogs are delicious. They are pricy for a hot dog but you get all the toppings you want, a decent sized hot dog and it's truly yummy. You can't even tell it's not meat which is freaky but cool. The guy working was incredible and checked all the ingredients for me. 100% must try atleast once.

This is NOT a vegan restaurant. It's under new ownership and is operating under the same name, but now serves meat. I found this out after being served a MEAT hotdog and ingesting it under the assumption that it was VEGAN. I've posted in multiple forums and heard from the Orlando vegan community that they aren't properly labeling their items for their workers. Their menu on Uber Eats says VEGAN and has no mention of meat options. According to public records they are operating on a dissolved business license. Ownership will not respond to me. Please beware. There are other legitimate vegan options in Orlando.

I found myself walking the streets of downtown Orlando and ran across this interesting spot. I wasn't sure on first glance if it was a regular bar with a nostalgic vegan hot dog cart sign hanging over the door or if the hot dog cart was inside. I'm adventurous so I wonder over to investigate. I parked at the bar and ordered a pint of beer while I surveyed the rest of the place. I hadn't quite figured out the vegan hot dog cart at this point, but I don't give up that easily. The bar was dark, dank and stank, like old bar and pubs do when they're not clean very often or very well. The toilet was a whole different kind of hot mess and a horrible experience. I don't recommend using it.Back to reason for going in this bar. After spotting a dart board in the back of the dark, dank stank place, my friend and I ventured over in that direction. That's when I spotted the infamous vegan hot dog cart kiosk on the side of the bar. The only reason I don't have a picture of the kiosk is because I was distracted with every step I took. The floors were so sticky that it felt like we were walking on wet glue. Now that I'd committed to the whole vegan hot dog cart experience, I had no choice but to cash in my dignity, self-respect and germophobe tendencies and do the thing. I believe there were 3 or 4 standards to choose from and the option to create your own. I went in for the Cincinnati dog with chili, spring onions, cheese and something else. It cost about $10, and I waited for the text message from the kitchen to return to the bar and pick up window. The presentation wasn't bad but because there were so many other competing factors going on in this place, I took a bite but not a picture and exited staged left immediately. I can't in good conscience recommend this place to anyone, no one comes to mind.

Stopped by during lunch no one really inside but staff working which appeared to me to be prepping for dinner. I walked in no one greeted me I was trying to figure out where to order and saw the sign to electronically place ordes. Placed my order sat down still no word from anyone which is odd felt as if I shouldn't have been there. In any case got my food to dine in but the way I was treated I just ate in my car. The vegan hotdog was ok the cheese if melted would have made it better. The tater tots were good along with the sauce maybe it's a better spot for dinner.

Prices have gotten out of hand... been going to The Vegan Hot Dog Cart for years, they're really good and unique with great toppings... but $10 plus tip for a single, small hot dog is just too much in my opinion. Just FYI, a plain dog starts at $9 now.Ordered 3 hot dogs and a side of loaded tater tots and it was $50 after tip. I could see if the hot dogs were big and the loaded tater tots were huge, but they weren't and the portions for $10 is unfortunately a rip off at this point.I understand prices on things are going up, but I guess this is our limit. Hope this helps future patrons.
