Having heard of the Palm restaurant in Los Angeles but never having eaten there, I was excited to try this place out. Our server (sadly I don't remember his name) was outstanding. He knew the menu inside and out and he prevented us from ordering too much food.We were a group of five so we certainly kept him busy. Most of the table ordered steaks but two of us went the seafood route, one having the Salt & Pepper Ahi Tuna and me ordering the Scallops. We started with an order of Calamari which arrived quickly and was soon devoured. It contained a nice mix of calamari along with some mixed bell pepper strips and sliced spicy cherry peppers which gave it a nice kick. There were two sauces, an aioli and a marinara for dipping. Next, most of us had the wedge salad because it came highly recommended from a mutual friend. Thankfully the server warned us against ordering a salad for each person because they were quite large, so we ended up splitting one for every two people. The wedge was great though a half serving was quite filling. And instead of the requisite blue cheese dressing, it came topped with a lovely vinaigrette with loads of blue cheese chunks, bacon, tomatoes, fried onions and toasted walnuts. I could have made a meal out of that salad alone. At this point I was regretting ordering a full serving of scallops. I should have taken the appetizer portion....but I digress. Our friends reported the steaks were excellent and cooked properly. The ahi tuna was nicely seared and the slices were fanned nicely across the plate. It also came with pearl couscous and a sauce that resembled a chimichurri but with mint overtones. The scallops were also cooked to perfection. There were six giant scallops over a bed of pearl couscous in some sort of reddish sauce. it was all I could do to finish the scallops and a small amount of the couscous because I was so full.Overall, it was a great meal. The service was top notch and the food was well prepared.

TLDR: I left here full, had a great time and the meal tasted good so what I'm about to say might be considered "first world problems" but there is too much competition around Orlando for chain steakhouses to be dropping the ball on basic issues, especially at high end steakhouse prices. Service here was top notch, though. The ambiance here gave me steakhouse vibes, and was also loud as there were lots of kids at nearby tables. People on vacation I assume, most wearing casual wardrobe, probably staying at the attached Hard Rock Hotel. It was pretty chilly inside so be sure to bring your sweater just in case. Started with a Meatball appetizer, this was 1 large meatball for sharing and it was very VERY good and flavorful. Probably the best I've ever had! We split this among 2 people. Bread basket - good selection of rolls & pretzel bread sticks served with butter. We liked it. Wedge Salads are shareable between 2. Caesar seemed a little smaller. Caesar was a little bland, wedge a bit better. Dinner dropped the score a notch. Filets were not cooked as ordered (medium orders were delivered med rare) and one was super tough. I've had my share of filets so I know when it's "off." Mentioned to the manager and he immediately replaced and rushed a new one out. This new one was delicious. The chicken parm didn't knock our socks off, pasta side was bland, Mac & cheese and asparagus (grilled not steamed) were good sides. After dinner, coffee was so cold it didn't melt the sugar. Again, they rushed out a hot coffee which was better. Overall, service was excellent all the way through and they offered a slice of carrot cake at the end of the meal as a nice gesture. The cake was excellent, def top 5. Management and the wait staff tried to make things right which we appreciated. Because of that, if we're in the area again, we would consider returning to see if our first experience was a one-off.

First visit to The Palm, friends were in town and selected for Happy Hour. Their favorite was Chicken Parm Sliders, served with fries, while I ordered the Prosciutto & Mozzarella Arancini. Happy hour prices were reasonable and portions sharable. Bar area filled up quickly, but bartenders were friendly. Hotel self parking is validated. Dinner menu looked good, I'd definitely go back!

Wow! What an amazing surprise. As a local business executive, I am a frequent visitor to all the local steakhouses. The vendor chose The Palm which I haven't been to in years. It was crowded, excessively loud like most of these places. The bartenders were friendly, there were healthy pours and attentive. Thankfully there weren't diners eating at the bar ( I hate that). The menu was far more robust than the "other guys". More starter options, better meat choices, and some Italian as well. They had Orin Swift Mercury Head wine (my favorite) and a decent wine list. Sommelier was friendly and knowledgeable- his recommendation (after we took all the Orin Swift) was excellent. The big win was the sides - great choices - all excellent. Lamb chops, steaks, truffle butter, etc. Super service. Only negative was getting there and noise. But, once you get to Hard Rock Hotel - valet is easy.

I have been a fan of The Palm for a very long time. This one might be the first one I ever went to. I still remember enjoying a monster lobster during that first visit. And when I say this one... I don't think the Hard Rock might have even been open back then. I kind of remember the place being in a small indoor mall area at Universal, but I could be hallucinating on that font. In any case, it is now and not then and that's what this review is based on.Valet parking is free if you come to the Hard Rock for dinner here, which is excellent. The place is just a short walk to the right after coming into the lobby of the hotel. Service is still what the Palm is all about. The atmosphere, however, is more casual here than the Palm I know in NYC.The Calamari Fritto Misto - lightly breaded calamari, tri-colored peppers, cherry peppers, pickled lemon, marinara to start was great. My Classic Caesar Salad - romaine, croutons, parmesan, Caesar dressing was great too, however, what happened to the Monday Night chopped salad? I think I have the day of the week correct. Either way it is MIA from the menu! For the main I shared a Prime Tomahawk Ribeye 32 oz with the table. It was a great meal and The Palm for the most part still is holding up well though it falls a little short of that Palm I first remember going to so many years ago.

What a fantastic dining experience. Paul was very knowledgeable about the menu and the history of the Palm. I have a gluten and dairy allergy, and Paul was so helpful with navigating the menu. We started with a bottle of the Napa Quilt Cabernet (one of my favorites), the oysters and a caprese salad -- the perfect start! The caprese was seasonal with prosciutto, grilled peaches, tomatoes and mozzarella. For entrees, we both ordered the sea bass, but he did mine without soy sauce and brought a side of chimichurri. The fish was cooked perfectly, and the rice was the perfect accompaniment. A great portion. Highly recommend the Palm if you're looking to spend a bit more for a really great, classic meal.

We were graciously invited back to give The Palm another try by Leo the General Manager. This time we were not disappointed! We were sat right away on a busy Sunday night and catered to all evening. We enjoyed a bottle of wine and split a caesar salad to start. One salad is enough for 2 people and with a little fresh cracked pepper it tasted great. The croutons taste homemade. They serve a basket of mixed rolls and butter which was tasty. For dinner we ended up ordering the same entrees as our first visit and loved them. My boyfriend was very impressed with the wagyu bolognese. The noodles tasted homemade and had a good amount of meat sauce mixed in. My scallops were seared perfectly and paired well with the chimi churri and pasta. This visit we also tried some dessert and it was top notch. I ordered the carrot cake (which is made in-house) and he got Juniors caramel cheesecake. Both were delicious. Our waiter Thomas was decent, kept our wine glasses full and checked in when he could while juggling his other guests. Seems like our first visit was a bad hiccup. Between the hospitality received from management and the incredible food we'd be happy to return.

This the Palm, so the expectations should be high, and this particular restaurant exceeded those expectations by a mile. The food was fantastic and the service was too! Our Waiter was John and his attention to detail and friendly demeanor made the experience all-the-more enjoyable.Ambiance was what you'd expect from the Palm. Lots of locals who come to visit their caricature on the wall; and many tourists who came from the parks fill this restaurant with high energy.A bit noisy when it's busy, but nothing so intense that it wrecks the experience.Dine here. Ask for John!

I made a reservation with my wife for our honeymoon thinking it wouldn't be super crowded, however there was a convention in the hotel and a ton of people happened to be there! We still got seated pretty much on time, all of the people serving us were super attentive and very nice to us, and the food was incredible, particularly the bread, center cut filet, and the Zeppoli (donuts) which were absolutely delicious.I really enjoyed the atmosphere as well, it felt very cozy and I loved seeing all of the different caricatures on the walls (the Conan one and the Sean Connery one were faves of mine)! It was one of the best dining experiences I've ever had and we cannot wait to come back!
