The Naked Cupcake

TNC has become a household staple for birthdays. There are options for all of the cupcake/cake lovers in our house. We love that there are to-go options, so I can always grab some sweets in a hurry. We usually order at the counter, where you can get cupcakes made to order. So, mix up those delicious flavors and make those cupcakes your own!

The Naked Cupcake did an excellent job with my daughter's Sweet 16 cake and cupcakes. I gave them an idea of what I wanted and they delivered. Looks wonderful and tasted just as wonderful.

What a cute concept... pick your cupcake flavor base, and frosting flavor, and pack it full with endless toppings. We tried the red velvet with cream cheese frosting and it was delicious. The cupcake was moist and the frosting was perfect (not too sweet). You can even add a scoop of Kelly's ice cream as a side to your cupcake. The store was super cute with a few grab-and-go items. The staff helped explain the process to us as well. Check this place out, you won't regret it :).

I'm a sucker for all "build your own" spots, but this one takes the cake. The variety of cake and frosting flavors alone was very exciting--but the fact that you can get unlimited toppings was even better! I went with a vanilla base (which is delicious) the cookies and cream frosting, Oreos and Reese's pieces with a caramel glaze. The buttercream is fantastic. I am going to have to find another reason to make it to Lake Nona to try more. The restaurants is small, but we were able to sit and eat our cupcakes in the available seating. Service was quick and courteous. And they partner with Kelly's (my fave) so you can add a scoop if you are inclined. It was a little too cold for ice cream the night we visited, but I'll put that scoop on my must try list for my next visit.

This is such a cute and unique idea, and I love the name!! You choose the flavor of your cupcake, the flavor of the frosting, and the toppings for the cupcake. The staff members are always super friendly and patient while I decide what to pick. The place is clean, and they have cute merchandise for purchase.

It's nice to have 2-in-1 cupcake and ice cream shop near where I am, but I was a bit disappointed in the vegan flavors. I went in with eager anticipation when I noticed they had "flavor of the day" vegan and gluten-free options on the menu, but turns out they actually only have one vegan flavor: vanilla (occasionally chocolate). Not much variety at all. When I went on a Sunday, they had 3 types of vegan frosting at least (vanilla, chocolate, cookies n cream), so I customized a 6-pack ($30) of entirely vanilla cupcakes. It's nice that you can see how they dress and top the cupcakes behind the counter, kind of like when they make rolled ice cream in front of you. However the lady ended up changing my order without telling me until it was already done, which could be an issue for some. I didn't mind because her changes added more variety in the flavor combinations. However as I was arriving home minutes after receiving the cupcakes, the frosting had slid off half of them and was oozing through the lid, making it a mess to eat. Other than a bit of chaos, the cupcakes tasted great and soft, and the frosting was silky sweet. I'd be back if they offer more vegan flavors!

My first time here. Service was great! I called before arriving to ask if they still have vegan cupcakes left. She told me they did and it was chocolate today (because it switches from that or vanilla). The 3 people I interacted with in person were very nice and helpful. I also saw they sell Kelly's Handmade Ice Cream there (8 different flavors, not sure if those rotate) & coffee and a dairy free option (cookies & cream)! They have a food truck (called Trixie =)) you can rent for events, too! Ambiance was clean and fun. All white with pops of pink. Some seating inside. The chocolate cupcakes with vanilla icing were pretty good. Wish there were more vegan cupcake options. However will definitely be back!

A super sweet treat for the day! I love chocolate, cafe mocha, strawberry delight and a make your own. All fresh cupcakes and nice amount of frosting.
