The Licking Orlando

My mom and I love soul food so we decided to visit last Thursday around 1-2pm. We were the first consumers there and we were greeted and seated immediately! I don't remember the waitress name but she was very slender. She was super nice and transparent and made us aware that the turkey wing price went up $2. As quick as we order the food was as quick as it came out and everything was hot! The food portion was perfect! We asked the waitress if the meal came with cornbread and she said cornbread is only Friday-Sunday. Huh? How on earth is a black soul food spot that got brothas and sistas coming up in there only gonna have cornbread on the weekends? We could've atleast had some bread, crescent rolls, toast some something?! You can go across the street to the Walmart and get a box of cornbread with the extra $2 y'all went up on the turkey legs with. DJ Khaled should be highly ashamed of himself for not having no bread with our soul food meal!! The licking Orlando (4706 Millenia Plaza Way, Orlando, FL 32839)The food at The licking Orlando was good! The lemon pepper turkey wings was FULL OF FAVOR! The team were nice once you got their ATTENTION ! My order: Lemon pepper turkey wings Fried Chicken wingsString BeansCollard Greens The atmosphere: Dark. From the outside (I thought they were closed) to the inside. My Review:The food was good. The superstar of the meal was the LEMON PEPPER TURKEY WINGS. Nice size, packed with flavor and they were not dry. The String beans were good the collard greens salt level were a little high and I didn't like the bones in the veggies. (Too many small bones) I can see myself eating here again but to go order at this location. I remember eating at the Florida Mall location and my experience was much different (in a positive way)! I will say the other waitress (not the lady that sat us down and took our drink order 10 plus minutes later) was Great. She looks around and at customers when she walks by tables. Y'all I'm just glad she looked at me because I really needed a refill... overall the food was good. Overall Score: 6/10

Ordered ahead and was able to pick up food before scheduled pick up time. They weren't as busy as the restaurant can get. I was greeted coming and and as I was leaving. The staff was friendly and welcoming.The food was delicious. One of my favorite and go-to item is the turkey wings.

Sorry I am missing a lot of details and images but I've been here three times and the food never disappoints. I ordered the friend red snapper, seafood rice,and Mac and cheese. I had conch fritters as an appetizer. Our server was really nice the setting is nice and parking is easy. If you like soul food I recommend this place

Pulled up to the location and thought they were closed because the parking lot was empty. Walked and was greeted by a nice young lady. We had a party of 14 but she got us seated at 3 different tables and was our waitress the whole time. She was very thorough in explaining the menu and asking any questions we had. I ordered lemon pepper wings, mac and cheese and yams. The yams weren't as sweet as when I make them at home but they were good. I also had the mystery drink which I love. Did I mention I had been to The Licking in Miami before? Lol anyways overall my entire party was satisfied. We enjoyed the food and ambiance. If you are ever in the area check them out!

Sometimes it's best to give people a second chance if they make a mistake or do you wrong. Well unfortunately this Isn't the case for Finger Licking out in Orlando.After a long ride across Orlando my girl and I finally pull up to The Licking and it honestly looks abandoned. It's Friday evening around 7pm and it's about three vehicles in the parking lot so we're assuming it's closed. Once we got out the car we can hear music blasting like we were at the clubWe walk in and there's literally one group pf people sitting in the corner. We stand and wait to be seated and the security guard hands us menus and walls us to a booth. Let me repeat that..THE SECURITY GUARD yeah that guy with his gun and maxe, and his bulletproof vest on yeah that guy. Once we were seated...that's it that's where our night ended. We sat there for 25 minutes and not a soul came over to even say hi to us. I would say maybe 5 members of the staff walked by and never looked our way. The only waitress one the floor was taking care of an complaint from the only group that was in the restaurant. ***Edit: I was falling asleep while writing this review and posted it just so it wouldn't get erased and not saved. I'm up and let me continue.The music was so loud I couldn't hear my girl who's sitting directly in front of me. There were about four workers behind the counter just laughing and playing on their phones with not a soul in line. Someone could've came out to greet us but nope nothing. The staff all looked and acted like young adults who have zero experience in the service industry this was beyond a piss pour staff they should and will go into the Hall Of Shame as the worst ever. This is solely the manager teams fault, they hired this crew, they trained this crew and this the product that was put out here. Just so there's no misunderstanding I visited here around 7pm December 5, 2024 we ended up leaving and spending our money at Cheesecake Factory. Absolutely the worst experience I've had in a long time. No management anywhere to be found. I'm ashamed of this business pure trash. I'll never step foot in this place again

Uhmm this place been through a lot coming back finally got it together. I would still stay away from the dirty mystery drink doesn't do anything for you why I ordered 2 guess I was bored. The service we had and the food was way better than before! I will be back.

The food was GOOD! The collard greens was seasoned to perfection, the shrimp was seasoned and fried perfectly, the sweet potatoes were just right not too sweet and that corn bread muffin was chefs kiss!The employees were very friendly and let's not talk about the music is was a whole vibe!

Fun place to have lunch or dinner. Always playing the newest of hip hop and R&B so the vibe is great. Food is also good with great southern options to choose from. Make sure to try the mystery drink which can either be ordered virgin or dirty.

My first time visiting this restaurant Orlando Florida Mall Location. This was a disappointing as well as unpleasant experience. I placed a simple order of lemon pepper wings and waited about 45 minutes only to receive a plate of over fried, greasy, cold mess. Also, while waiting for my take out order there were about four to five groups of people, that were already there when I arrived waiting to be seated, all while all the tables were empty and available. They sat there the entire time while I was waiting for my order which was about 45 minute. They were still waiting when I received my order. When I received the order I noticed the plate wasn't hot and there was no food aroma coming from the plate. When I opened the box to my surprise, old, cold, greasy hard wings! When I asked to return them and get my money back, a guy from the back came up front and was very rude and inconsiderate regarding my reasons for returning the wings. I asked if he would eat something prepared in this way and he made multiple excuses and said that's how the wings should be. Unfortunately,I didn't get his name.He eventually was to return my money after I said I'm not going to argue with him and I will report his actions. I didn't receive my refund on the spot; so I'm unsure if he really made the refund transaction. I will definitely not eat at this place again and the way they are conducting business they are going to be out of business. DJ Khaled this is making you look really bad. Horrible!
