Food was really great here! It's a Bear types vibe in there as you can see the chef/owner really taking control like it's a 6 star kitchen lol. The portions are huge, I had the Mason Jar smash burger and really only ate half. It did make good left overs though. Also the chicken and biscuits were huge. Came with 2, but in reality only 1 was needed. Mac and cheese was really good, I remember that from Mason Jar. Honestly I think they could reduce their portion sizes and reduce the price a bit and it would be a lot more worth it! Give Hen and Hog a try when you can! FYI you'll need to park in the back or in a separate lot off New York Ave.

We had the Blackberry Bramble (could drink that daily!), Mac and cheese, chicken strips, fries, and homemade ketchup...Great atmosphere, great music, and even better service! This place is no joke, hands down... delicious!

Stopped in for brunch with my friends! Restaurant is very clean and organized, service is fantastic, and you can tell the chef is very passionate about his menu. All the food seemed to be made from scratch, down to the biscuits and tater tots, and the combinations are a great spin on traditional dishes. I had the eggs benedict with brown butter hollandaise and it was more than anything I would've expected. Can't wait to try their lunch!

Decent food, came here for brunch. The service was not the best the chef forgot one of my items. Everything was honestly a bit overpriced for what it was. The ambiance of the restaurant was nice though and it's a quick service style restaurant.

Food was delicious!!!! My favorite was the cheese curds, they just melt in your mouth and the ribs were great too! The owner is incredibly personable and professional. Everything tasted so fresh! Would recommend!

Oh my GOODNESS! We were exploring Winter Park and it was past the time for lunch and John and I were hungry/borderline hangry. He looked online and couldn't decide, my turn! I searched and picked The Hen & Hog and we were both so happy with our lunch! Mr-I'm-Not-That-Hungry, he ordered chicken tenders, almost begrudgingly, but the owner was walking us through the menu and swore that the fried chicken was the best. I ordered the mac-n-cheese and topped it with the fried chicken for a surcharge. 1. My mac-n-cheese was DELICIOUS! Perfectly creamy, rich flavor and the chicken on top was just perfection. 2. The chicken- real, fresh chicken, tender, lightly batter, perfectly seasoned. No need for salt or pepper- it seriously is the best chicken tenders I have ever had. We didn't finish our food, but we took it with us and the car and fridge in our hotel room just taunted me with the tantalizing smells! I chatted with the owner, as a food and someone who loves to cook, I picked up on the celery powder used in the breading on the chicken. We were comparing holiday meal ideas and more! Fabulous~ Cannot recommend enough. And... apparently the chicken and waffle sandwich is so good, another customer referred to it as his death row last meal! And that's not the first time the owner has heard customers say that!!! Go, eat, savor & thank me later!

Went here for the first time and here they welcome you and treat you like family! Its a small BBQ place that offers a variety of food for brunch and lunch and offer platters that come with a side of coleslaw, mac and cheese, and fries. Both the ribs and chicken sandwich were delicious and filled us for the whole day and the coleslaw is perfect for any pickle lovers :)

Casual place for lunch on the corner of Fairbanks and New York. Staff was very friendly. Food was cooked to order so it took a few minutes to get to us but we were in no rush. The pork chicharon that came with the crawfish dip was crunchy and surprisingly rated even with the dip. We all enjoyed our lunch. We also liked the fact that they have a selection of wine and beer!

The food was outstanding, the service was terrific and this was the very best of Winter Park! One of the best lunch stops I've ever eaten at. Creative menu and unique preparations! Would highly recommend and support this small business.

The food is overpriced for being over salted, over fried and dry. I understand at small establishments there might be longer waits but waiting so long for food that literally left a bad taste in my mouth is disappointing. This is coming from a foodie who is not picky at all.
