The Grill at Grande Vista

While staying at the Marriott Grand Vista we were told the Grill was a place to go. We went without a reservation and was told there would be a :35 minute wait for outdoor seating and that they were short staffed. We decided to wait. :45 minutes went by - we were finally seated indoors. We placed an order of 2 drinks, Burger and Fries, Burger and Tator tots. The food came quickly. The burger and fries were delicious and the service was very efficient. We enjoyed our meal.

I dined here around 5pm when the restaurant opens for dinner time on a Sunday. Our server was lovely - she was friendly and helpful with ordering. It was a group of 7 of us outside on the patio that looks out at the golf course.I got the salmon in tuscan seasoning with asparagus and I swapped out the rice for mashed potatoes. I really enjoyed my meal. It was a generous sized salmon cooked just right and the mashed potato was smooth and creamy.My husband got the short rib which our server recommended and I sampled - it was very good, tender and flavorful.

The only way this experience could've been worse is if the plates were covered in dog shit. DO NOT COME HERE if you have any intention of finishing your inedible meal by the time of the next apocalypse. Seriously, a ton of people stay here and go to Disney parks, YOU WILL BE LATE if you decide to come here before going to a park. Gosh I legit don't even know where to begin... We sat here for over an hour and fifteen minutes waiting for our food to arrive, watching groups that sat after us by 30 minutes get their food before us, and once the food actually arrived came to find out I would have rather eaten the napkin. The pancakes were rock hard, the eggs had a crusty film over them, the bagel was as hard as a 90 year old Vietnam veteran, toast was forgotten...three times, incomplete fruit bowls, and bacon thinner than a Chinese Olympic diver. The manager did come out and attempt to make it right by replacing some items and taking things off the check. However, I still can't give more than one star for bad food, bad service, and an overall terrible experience. I do appreciate the managers effort though.

Very good food. I ate with 5 others and they all enjoyed their meal. I had champagne chicken and it was delicious, great sized portion.

Another amazingly delicious meal and experience at The Grill yesterday. I had the 0.G.cheeseburger with bacon as well as fries. My partner had the crab cake special with broccolini which was incredibly good as well. Overall, very satisfying and our service from Loadris was especially friendly, helpful, and professional. A++ Experience

Convenient and average place for breakfast if stay at the hotel. The parfait took a bit a long to come and the waiter is kind enough to take it off the bill.

Very poor food for a resort/hotel this nice and at this price point, go for a drive to eat.

It is now May 2024, and Covid is a thing of the past. Again, I was disappointed by the service, and the menu. New chef, new menu. The way they serve food here is very disappointing, a huge portion of potatoes is just plopped on the plate. Apparently chipotle everything is the rage now. They used to make wonderful Rueben sandwiches, no more, no more prime rib on Sundays. I thought the menu was very limited, and I am here at Grande Vista for a month. Don't be expecting to find anything on the (lunch) menu under $20. I won't be coming back. I was looking forward to eating here. :(

I was surprised at how good the food and libations were here. And if you come here, make sure you get Ashley, she's fantastic!

Not even 1/2 full and it's taken a half hour to get our drink order... people all around us are fuming about how long it's taking. If the appetizers aren't out in the next 5 minutes we're walking out the door!!! Update... we didn't leave because the appetizers came out but wish we had! An hour and 10 minutes after arriving we finally!! got our entrees. The couple at the table stopped to express their disappointment as they were leaving for the same reasons.
