We took a day trip to St Augustine and had planned to drive back to our hotel near universal for the night, but I figured we'd stop at this spot again since it's on the way. We weren't super hungry so only ordered the deviled eggs, onions soups, ciabatta board, and the crab bisque. The deviled eggs, bisque, and ciabatta board were phenomenal, and I personally loved the onion soup despite it's liquid volume seemingly being reduced by about 50%. I won't dock a star for the onion soup but will say that they should go back to the prior serving method, even if the flavor isn't quite as concentrated.

The food was all delicious. From the enter Caesar salad to my filet Napoleon. The ambience is amazing. It feels like you're walking into an old bookstore. The only bad part was the service. Incredibly slow. It took us over an hour to get our entree and we didn't order any appetizers. Took forever for our server to take our order. The host stand was very accommodating though. Overall good. But be prepared to wait

Favorite meal in Mount Dora during a three night stay. Get your reservation because they book up on busy days. Currently rated #1 restaurant on Yelp in Mount Dora. Agree!Ambiance is A+-mazing! Service is excellent. Food is delectable. I got the Asiago Chicken Roulade. This is chicken breast, asiago, spinach, sundried tomato, garlic, cream cheese & madeira beurre blanc. This was too pricey for a chicken dish and I wasn't a fan of how dry and tough it was. The sides were good.My friend had the Cheshire Pork Chop. This was the talk for several days on how good it was. Alcohol: Some fun drinks on the menu. I had the "I Don't Practice Sang-Ria, which was ared blend sangria with notes of cinnamon, citrus liqueur and ginger ale. Would recommend if you like sangria!Keep up the great work Goblin Market. Hidden on a side street right near the Hillside Inn, but so worth seeking out for dinner.

Goblin Market is easily one of the best dining experiences in Lake County! My first experience was in the Lounge and my husband and I fell in love with it immediately! The bartenders are always so friendly and knowledgeable. We always start with the carpaccio and some delicious cocktails or mocktails that are handcrafted with care. The lounge menu adds additional options to the dining menu, and we love the burgers there! The seafood is fresh, and the appetizers are filling. This is definitely the place to take visitors and friends, if you can get a reservation!

We visited The Goblin Market with a party of 7 yesterday after the Mt Dora Christmas Parade. We ordered a Irish Whiskey Onion Soup ($14) and a Cashew Chicken Sandwich with fries ($19.75) and a Jolly Holiday Sangria ($13) to share among two of us. The soup was really tasty and had thinly sliced onion rings on top. The only thing I might change is to have smaller cut onions on top as that would make the easier to eat. The Cashew Chicken Sandwich is a fried chicken sandwich that is so very moist, perfectly crisp on the outside and lightly and perfectly flavored. I don't love cashews by themselves but the cashew crust on this chicken was really really good. The fries were lightly battered and perfect consistency. The Sangria tasted like Christmas and was really good. It had a red wine blend, cinnamon, orange liquor, cranberry, and holiday spices. Our server was Austin and she was excellent. Our table was as attended as we wanted, she paid attention to details, made us feel welcomed and comfortable. She is one of the best servers we have had that we can remember. For this visit, we had two disabled family members and this restaurant has limited accessibility. My sister uses a wheelchair and while she can take a few steps, it is challenging. My Mom is using a cane or Walker recently. The restaurant has just a few tables on the main level and our table was one step up so it was manageable. As electric scooter would it be able to get into the restaurant at all as there are a couple of tight 90 degree turns to enter. This restaurant is decorated really nicely on a regular basis and during this season their holiday decor overlay was classy and festive. I would most definitely give this restaurant a recommendation to visit and we will be back. Since we went right after the parade we expected to wait to be seated. We waited about an hour which met our expectations.

This is a cute little place that feels more like you are visiting someone's home instead of a restaurant. The service was perfect. Our server was very knowledgeable, helpful and attentive. The food is very good but the star of the meal was the onion soup. I know that seems silly but it is truly amazing. I will come back for just the soup in the future, I loved it that much. The steak and scallops were also good. The only dis as disappointing aspect to the meal was the Brussels sprouts. They seemed a bit under cooked. Given that it was just a side item on a fantastic meal it was no big deal.

First meal in Mount Dora and we decide we had to try out the Goblin Market. I mean with that name you have to. I of course called about a week and a half out since we had a party of 7. Yes, it was a Thursday but we wanted to be safe. Once arrived we loved the look off the restaurant. I classic old Florida look. We were quickly then taken to our table upstairs. Once seated our server quickly came to take our drinks. I wasn't feeling bourbon or anything on their specialty drink menu so I went with a Dirty Vodka Martini and score it comes with Blue Cheese Stuffed Olives. We of course had to get some apps and soups because both looked great. We went with the Artichoke Hearts, Deviled Eggs, and I had to try the Irish Whiskey Onion Soup. The Artichoke Hearts were much better then I expected and so creamy from the Pesto Cream Cheese. They were also very crispy on the out side. For sure one of the best Artichoke appetizers I had ever had. The Deviled Eggs were also very good and over stuffed which is a win for me. I was also a huge fan of the Irish Whiskey Onion Soup. I had never had a French Onion Soup like this. I loved the Crispy Onions on top and of course it was super cheesy. This is a must try if your a fan of French Onion Soup with a twist. For my entrée I went with the Florida Crab Cakes. They came with 3 and they were very tasty. Crispy Panko breaded with lots of Blue Crab on the inside. They are for sure making up a mean Crab Cake. The vegetable that it came with were Brussel Sprouts which were fine and a Black Rice or something similar. This was just dry and pretty flavorless. For sure the low of the night for me. I was also able to try a friends Honey-Lavender Duck Breast which I thought was very good.In my opinion was a top 2 entrée and that's with beating out Ashley's Filet Napoleon. Goblin Market is for sure a place you have to try out when in Mount Dora if you are looking for a nice dinner and some good drinks.

The food, atmosphere and ambiance are fabulous. We visited Mt. Dora in Feb. and the weather is a cool 65. We sat outside on the patio and enjoyed the day. We had a Cheese board, Irish Whiskey Onion soup and a French Dip with amazing steak fries. The waitress Ginais so friendly and personable, I'd come back and ask for her.
