As someone who cares less about huge portions and early bird specials, I struggle to give this place more than 3 stars. The bathroom was very clean, our party of 4 was seated quickly and the decor is interesting. Those aspects were appreciated. I didn't personally care for the food, it is clearly geared towards Standard American Diet. I settled on one of the specials of the day, as nothing about the main menu appealed to my sense of healthy lifestyle eating. My mushroom ravioli had good flavor but was overly drenched in a soupy cream type sauce. I was able to pick through it and give the shrimp and chicken a rinse before eating. Overall, for the price, I would choose other places that have more options in line with my cleaner standards of food.

So we came back for my friend's birthday. Party of six. After a two hour wait we were seated. A bachelorette party of six was seated at basically the same table. Fun Same waiter. Took their order before us. Of course. So my friend with the onion allergy was basically told they had nothing for her to eat by Brian the server. Todd then came to the table and basically told her the same thing. Seriously. There is NO WAY that a restaurant can't take a piece of meat or seafood and cook it with no onions. Finally my friend said just "make me some pasta and grouper in butter sauce." Then he asked her twice what kind of sauce she wanted. Do any of these managers really LISTEN to their customers??? Customer service is in a downward spiral and The Garlic has not escaped it. The bread and garlic are very good. Also the butter is served not frozen which is a big plus. Our seat was SO HOT. We were sitting there sweating. The air conditioner was pointed the other way. When I tried to get the servers attention by calling his name he sat down to talk to the bachelorette party. Things went bad when the manager came over to discuss the onion debacle. Her husband was eating his steak at the same time the manager wanted to talk to him. He literally had a fork in one hand and a steak knife in the other hand and he's part Italian if you know what I mean so he was talking with his hands while he was addressing the manager. The manager then accused him of pointing a knife at him and ask him to leave... Forever. It was pretty bizarre.

2025 visit...Service was topnotch and very attentive.The decor has a definite chicken theme to it as the were chicken motifs all over!The Bocce Ball:It's an oven roasted 16 ounce filet mignon meatball served with marinara sauce topped with shaved parmesan cheese and served with linguini.FANTASTIC...another very good portion and excellent flavors.The Chicken Alfredo:This is a lightly sauteed chicken tossed with fettuccini in a homemade creamy parmesan sauce.Another fantastic choice that will not leave you wanting.

This spot is a local favorite and I totally get the hype. My husband and I went here on our anniversary and it was just the cutest, most unique spot! Most of their seating is kind of like this... you're inside but outside... or outside, but inside type of vibe. Don't worry! There are fans if you're hot and heaters when it's cold :). I also loved that they wrote their specials on an uncooked lasagna noodle. How fun?!They start off by bringing you fresh bread and OBVIOUSLY the most delicious roasted garlic that is smashed and doused in olive oil and balsamic vinegar . We ordered the Seafood Canneloni and the Lasagna for our entrees. Both delicious and hearty. Also--- you can't leave without ordering their carrot cake!!

The Garlic is a must stop in New Smyrna Beach!!! The ambiance, food, drinks, and service is unmatched. There are no reservations, so be prepared to wait-- luckily, the waiting area has a bar, ample seating, and sometimes music. Once you're inside, you're surrounded by lights, plants, and wine. There's also live music every single night. Every meal starts with a plate of roasted garlic served with fresh bread-- so delicious! Most recently, I got the pasta pomodoro made with garlic, shallots, herbs, and roasted tomatoes. The pasta was so fresh and delicious, and the serving size was huge! The Garlic is a must while in New Smyrna Beach! There are no reservations, so it's first come, first served. But they do have a bar outside while you wait for your table! The inside is mostly outdoors with an "inside" feel so the best time to go is when it's not too hot and humid outside. But there are some "inside" seating options with air conditioning. The best part is obviously the bread service with the roasted garlic -- omg drool. And you can ask for more, but you'll want to save room for their delicious entree options! The garlic soup is incredible! I've had several different pastas and they are also super yummy! The Garlic is for sure a fun spot to check out :)

Came for my birthday.... Wow!! Ambiance ! Service! Food! Stellar!!I got the seafood cannelloni. Ah-mazing!!! Portions are huge. Everyone got something different and everyone raved. We had to go boxes for days. The bread with smashed garlic -- unspeakably good I want to go back!!!

This place is still a 5 and I will always recommend it to everyone! We came on Valentines Day and even arrived before they opened. Holy moly the end of the line before they even opened was to two parking lots away. Though it went quickly but we didn't get seated right away (they said it would be 1.5 hour wait). We said that's fine. They had a great specials menu featuring arancini (my favorite dish from them) among other great picks. In normal Garlic fashion we were seated in half the time and the food came out efficiently as well. Everything was great and it was such a pleasant experience.
