The Fountain

(Dec 2024)After a day of shopping at Disney Springs (Saturday December 14), my wife and I decided to stay in our hotel for dinner. Since The Fountain was one place I've wanted to try for the past few years, we thought we'd go try it this evening.I ordered the Fountain Smash Burger ($21) and my wife got the Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup ($18). Both of our meals came with fries.We loved our meals. Partly for the food itself and partly because we didn't have to leave the hotel again!

It's a no fuss, no frills... diner style burger & sandwich spot. They also have ice cream offerings... but each night, I'm way too full and couldn't try their ice cream. lol Service is nice, had a quick meal here during a conference. The staff is friendly and quick to get you situated and food comes out fast. Had a classic burger with fries, with a boylan rootbeer. Burger was perfect medium, pink center and fries was nice and hot. The only meal during my conference that didn't require $50. Good value while being stuck at the Disney Dolphin hotel.

After a long flight to Orlando, we were starving and the fountain was next door and convenient American food. The main reason we stayed bc we were seated within minutes and the crowd came after us. I got the fried chicken burger, my family ordered the smash burger, hot Italian and other kids meals. The fried chicken was over done as the chicken was tough and kinda stringy already. The hot Italian meat was also dry but salty too. The smash burger was alright, filling and fine. The fries saved the meals. The kids chicken tenders were better than my fried chicken sandwich. It was more moist and tasty. This place was busy as it's the holidays and in the resort. Staff and workers were nice. The ice cream and smoothie were delish. I'd come back for dessert.

Watch out for the chicken sandwich. It was deep fried yet ICE COLD like it had just come from the refrigerator. Was not cooked today! Couldn't even finish the first bite. Food poison alert. Burgers and fries are great and appear to be cooked when ordered. Shakes are good. Watched a person eat a Sunday right over the same area they were making my shake though. . Server was great through.

Came after a long day at the parks. Ordered the chicken noodle soup and wow i must've gotten high blood pressure just from that, it was incredibly salty. The salmon salad was good but nothing out of this world. The waitress was very difficult to get ahold of as every time we'd try she'd be talking to other employees. There were only about 4 parties in the whole restaurant. Additionally, she gave us the wrong check and that caused her to disappear for another 10 minutes. I wish the experience was better as the diner style vibe was

I think this is something that's great to have in a hotel but the cooks are awful. I ordered a kid meal burger and the inside of the patty was RAW and cold! In a KIDs menu burger! When the order first came out the fries were cold so I asked for fresh fries. The guy was so nice and replaced my fries. I took my order to go since it was for a child in the room. I took a bite as a good parent should and was in SHOCK that the burger was raw. I should have known it was going to be bad because as I was sitting waiting for my food. THREE other orders were sent back! Cooks do better!!!

Overall. I rate this place a 3.5. It was super busy when we arrived here. The lady who took our to-go order was super nice and helpful. We had ordered:1. The original burger with fries - The burger was dry and bland. Fries were good. 2. Buffalo chicken grilled cheese - This wasn't what I expected. I thought it would be a crispy chicken sandwich with buffalo sauce. Instead, it was shredded chicken that was all sauced up. There was so much sauce that it made my sandwich soggy. The chicken was lost in the sauce but the onion rings were amazing. 3. Chocolate shake - ordered extra thick was delicious4. Coco Loco shake - Sweet and be prepared to get brain freeze, lol. I was not able to try the malted chocolate balls, but it hit the spot. Overall, the food was mediocre. It had some good points but not enough to make it a solid 4.

This is my first restaurant experience at Disney. I was floored at how bad it was. 40 minute wait to receive our food. Had a buffalo chicken grilled cheese and fries for $18 plus a cup of chicken noodle soup for my wife.The soup was 80% veggies, but my wife can't eat veggies due to health issues. So the soup was a waste. The sandwich was ok. Fries were soggy, not crisp. For the price I expected better service and better food. This was worse than my local Burger King, which is terrible.

We just arrived to the resort and needed something quick to eat. After walking around, we found the restaurant and were seated and orders quickly taken. I ordered the Turkey burger and my husband ordered a cheeseburger. No apps for either of us. We did not have to wait long and our orders came out. I gotta say - the Turkey burger was delicious! Huge burger too and I wasn't going to finish it. Onion rings were fresh and crispy although my husband said he didn't have any onions in the rings lol. If you're looking for a quick bite, this is a good spot. Portions are big and service is quick.

We come here every time we are in town. They used to have a sandwich we love (similar to a club) but their menu has changed. So we tried their gravy and cheese fries (I think it was called the fountain fries?) .. this was horrible! The cheese was coagulated and the gravy didn't even melt.. it's like they put refrigerated gravy goop on the fries and did not heat it up. You can tell on the bottom left of the photo by how dark and thick it is compared to the upper right of the photo. It was so bad I could barely eat it.
