The Florida Room

ORLANDO, FL: The Florida Room is a great bar with an outdoor patio that welcomes leashed and friendly pups and is a fun nightlife spot!Views of a Lake Ivanhoe, games to play, TVs to watch the game, doggie water bowls provided, and just a great place to kickoff your night or wind it down.

We came to the Florida room after dinner near by to keep the good times rolling for a friend's birthday. The best attributes of this place are the ideal location and social spaces. The bar is basic, but good. I got a vodka cranberry and it was good. We enjoyed playing darts and talking around the table. It does get very hot and the seating is very bare bones. Parking is limited. There is only one single stall bathroom, so bare that in mind. However, if you bring a good group, the vibes are great.

Went on a pretty busy Saturday night. The place itself is fairly small, but they have garage style doors that they opened shortly after we arrived that open to their patio and really helped a lot on space. Located on Ivanhoe near many other cute bars and restaurants. The bouncer was friendly enough and we got our drinks pretty quickly considering how busy it was. I like that they had a pineapple cider option available for a cider lover such as myself. Owned by the same people as lucky lure, so I was able to take my drink with me to visit that side of the bar as well. All in all pretty positive experience and would not mind going back.

I love stopping by here after I get sushi next door. Their espresso martinis are sooo good. I love the fact that they play music and they also have games. There is outdoor seating stand seating in the indoor outdoor area as well as the bar. The service is quick and always amazing! For both of our drinks we paid $24

I've been coming here for years and always had great drinks. Yesterday I visited on my birthday. My friend and I met here and sat at the bar. We ordered 2 French 75's and they were delicious. Very refreshing for a very hot day. While this bar does not have central AC, there is a few overhead fans and a portable AC unit. I was still very hot and the bartender brought out a portable fan and set it up on the bar for me which I thought was very nice of him. He treated us well and kept our drinks topped off. Drinks here are reasonably priced and a decent selection of beers, wine, and liquors. The space also has a large room for darts if that's what you are into. There is street parking out front and foot traffic along the sidewalk. The bar offers a cozy feel.

It's a bar. What are my expectations? Decent and quick service and that's about it. Bartender was condescending and rude in our 1st interaction because I asked a simple yes or no question. Go to any other bar in the area because they actually appreciate your business.

Great vibe for a local bar hangout. Jukebox plays great tunes. Old Fashion perfect and a large selection of Bourbons...

Bartenders need to do better with customer service. There are plenty of other bars nearby, go there instead.

It's called The Florida Room because it is essentially a Florida Room. Pretty cool. They have wall units added so that the space stays cool and there's plenty of seating outside. Their social distancing practices are worthy of mentioning because they are doing a great job! They have limited seating inside all together and require masks until you are at your table. The prices are great. The house wine selection is decent, ya got things like La Crema which feels more restaurant offer than "dive bar." But that's kind of the whole point of this spot. It's a "dive" vibe with an elevated cocktail focus. The bartender's jokes didn't land quite right for me. And frankly my feelings were a little hurt by his jokes? Weird but true. The Cucumber Collins with gin was my drink of choice. I loved that there was no simple syrup in it. An overall refreshing drink. And at a fair price, of $9. Have I had better? Yes for sure, and for less money even. But this was a fun little stop and I think it's a great addition to Ivanhoe.

This place has a lot of potential. Their take on cocktails could use some work, however, they do offer a nice outdoor patio and a lot of room to hang out. But, they market their establishment as a "cocktail bar" and it doesn't really hold up. I wish they had more options.
