The Deland Stockyard

We chose The Deland Stockyard as it was halfway between us and our friends in Lake County. We arrived at 5:00pm to a nearly empty parking lot and wondered if we had made a good choice. I'll skip ahead. Yes, we made a great choice, and the parking lot was full at 6:30pm!We had a reservation and were promptly seated. Our server, Sean, came to our table right away. While taking our drink order, Sean answered many questions and did not steer us wrong. First, everything on the menu was enticing, but in the end Prime Rib is king! We started with calamari and fried mozzarella. For our entrees we ordered a 16 ounce end cut, a medium rare 8 ounce, beef tips, and fried shrimp. Sides included the house salad, garlic mashed potatoes, twice backed potatoes, asparagus, cole slaw and roasted vegetables. Each prepared and seasoned well. Sean continued to check in on our table and refill our drinks promptly. The seating was comfortable and well lighted. There is an inside bar that filled up, and by the time we finished more diners were arriving. And auxiliary parking across the street. As we walked out into a full parking lot, we heard music and noticed the outside seating area. We decided to stick around and sit at a high top to continue the evening. Enjoying some more drinks and check out the live music. We spent a total of three hours last night having a great meal, some good wine, listening to live music, while catching up and conversing with some good friends. Not to worry, the designated drivers had soft drinks!We will certainly return to the Deland Stockyard and invite other friends to enjoy a good time by all!

Great atmosphere, good food, decent service. Our waiter came 15 times when we took first two bites to ask us if everything is okay. I do appreciate the attentiveness, however, i would like to enjoy my meal in peace too. When it comes to food, it was tasty, it didn't blow me out of the water tho. We waited for a while for it but everything else at the premises made it worth it. Live music, good seating and great interior decor. Crem brûlée was very liquid and not as delicious as we hoped. Overall, decent food, not as good as I imagined based on the hype surrounding this place but live music was nice and refreshing. Not sure I would go out of my way to come back but if I was around i think it would be a safe choice. P.S. My ratings are based on whether I believe I could make a better or healthier version at home. If food/drinks/service impress me, I'll be happy to come back. If not the stars reflect that.

This is a very interesting yet very good restaurant. I went there for the first time because I wanted a good steak. I was not wrong. This steakhouse knows how to cook steak. I ordered the 12oz Ribeye and my friend ordered the Tbone Special. To my surprise, both steaks were very delicious. They came with 2 sides which were very well also. The environment was delightful. There was a Piano Bar entertainment inside and the outside there was Karaoke. The food attendant was very polite and the food was delivered promptly. I was expecting to pay $125-150 for the meal plus a cocktail. However, surprisingly I only spent 1/2 of that. Very well worth a nice dinner place for any date or fun. Let me tell ya, u like steak, salads, wings, mussels, homemade soups & good service. U gotta go, sit at the outside bar, listen to some good live music, let Mary serve ya, & you'll be happy... Great crowd & staff, can't go wrong!

The service was okay , the food was good but no where near Emmy's prime rib. The creamy horseradish was bland . The prime rib tasted pretty similar to a pot roast. The sides were not bad but definitely nothing to write home about . The outside bar is a nice spot to chill , they said sometimes there's live music there. Would go back for a drink but dinner wasn't worth the money tbh. Note to self Emmy's is closed on Wednesdays .

Love the food and staff and the pricing is fair too. We had the steak tips with twice baked potato with cheeseburger plate. To start with we had chips with artichoke spinach dip. Live music was great too! Had to take the burger home it was too much to eat at the time.

We stopped in at 4:30 pm on a hot Saturday and bellied up to the bar. Annie was an awesome bartender and made our drinks perfectly. We enjoyed a couple of new dishes than we don't usually order; TwinLobster Tails and Salisbury Steak. Both were delicious! The bar was nice and quiet for the hour we were there but the restaurant was filling up fast on a Saturday night. We would definitely order both dishes again. The green beans side are always a winner. Be sure to add an order of blackened or fried shrimp to your meal, you won't be disappointed.We truly always stop at this restaurant when in Deland. Other favorites are the fried shrimp dinner, pork loin dinner and filet. The creamed spinach side is the best I have ever had!

I am not one to bitch & complain but it is impossible not to after our experience tonight. In 44 years I have NEVER had this horrible of an experience at a restaurant EVER !!! took almost 3 hours, the service was beyond terrible and so was the food. about 45 min into it I went and found the manager to let her know what was going on only to never see her again. ZERO apology, zero table visit and the horrible service never changed. we get the final bill and not even 1 discount, no comped meals, no apology and on top of that they automatically charged a 20% $117 "service fee. I will go out of my way from this day forward to make sure everyone I know never goes to this establishment ever again. our whole party is so pissed off and blown away by how terrible this experience was.

Table for 5 and all was wonderful. Service and food was great. Mahi bites a must every time.

We had a great time. Food was excellent and will be back soon.Little bit of a ride we live in Lake Panasoffkee, but it's worth a trip
