The Big Hot Box

July 4th food truck options in Tavares and luckily I came to the Big Hot Box. Ordered the shrimp tacos and they were so delicious! Best I've had! Hope to have the chance to get these again!

This food truck is owned by Chef Mathew Wegler and his wife Tiffani. I found it at the Clermont ComiCon. The food was prepared very quickly and very well. I had chicken tenders and loaded fries. The chicken tenders were very good. Not over cooked and not scalding hot. The loaded fries were good too. Again, not over or under cooked, but the sauce held their temp for awhile. They were loaded with cheese sauce, bacon and sour cream. Very good. They played good music out of the van while they were there. 90s rock, Sirius Satellite's Lithium. Customer service was on point. The lady taking the orders, presumably Tiffani, was very friendly. The only reason I'm putting up 4-stars is the prices. 3 chicken tenders and loaded fries and a soda was $12. It was a little steep but I walked away full and actually enjoyed the food.
