The Bakery Colombian Cafe

I'm not a big coffee drinker, but I can never say no to their mocha. It's something special, especially when paired with a chocolate croissant. I love visiting this place because it's so clean and their play list is fantastic. I've hosted several small meet-ups here and they've always been so welcoming. If you're looking for a place to meet, or work, or eat, this is the spot.

Food was good, decor was very nice and place was clean, including the bathroom. The staff was friendly but even though there were multiple people behind the counter it took a bit to get the orders in and food took a little longer than expected but overall a good experience and would return. My friend did not like his arepa at all but my empanadas were great and I enjoyed my mango smoothie.

Cute place in the middle of Avalon park.They have lots of sweets and baked stuff.Service is fast and friendly people.Prices is moderate.Ordered the arepa with eggs. It was tasty and fresh. A little bland on the eggs, needed Tabasco.Overall a good place for coffee and baked sweets.

Since I go often to the UCF area and they are not too far at that point, it had been on my radar for some time. I finally made it and crossed it of my list!The restaurant is open and has both indoor and outdoor seating with street parking nearby. It is nicely decorated and makes it inviting as you see the pastries and goodies in the cases as you walk in.The staff is nice, friendly, attentive and happy to answer questions or make any suggestions.I dined in and had the pollo encebollado with rice, salad and french fries. The chicken was tasty and cooked to order, the rice needed more flavor as it was bland. The dressing on the salad was a nice vinaigrette. I ordered the almohabana to go, to have later with coffee. A good addition to Avalon.

Desperately Seeking Croissants! I knew what I was doing this morning when I went to bed last night. Visiting The Bakery Colombian Café for their delicious almond croissants. Early enough, where there were no crowds yet, I ordered my mocha latte with almond milk and 1 of the 3 remaining almond croissants. I was tempted to get all 3, but I thought of anyone else like me, who might have been desperately seeking one & I took them all. So I got one. I mention to the friendly person taking my order that I was sad that I couldn't make it this past week when they had the strawberry croissant & to my delight, I was told, "we have them & they are ready". Omg! 1, please. It's going to be a good day!I sat by the window to take in the view and enjoyed the yummiest croissant & a latte that was truly made with love (you can tell when it is) Of course, I could not visit this Colombian gem without buñuelos. They come mini, 3 for $2, the perfect snack for that afternoon coffee that future me will love! If you haven't made your way to this cute café & indulged in the delicious drinks, caffeinated or otherwise, & bitten into the pastries and Colombian favorites, please do!! It's wonderful.

They have real food too!!! Ok, it's not just a bakery, but a majority of what they have IS your typical bakery fare. Things like cakes, croissants, and other sweet and savory treats fill most of the display cases.They also have empanadas, arepas, chicharron, and chorizo that are pretty much ready to eat, although they may heat them up more. The menu behind the counter also shows some breakfast/brunch dishes and various types of eggs and meats.Coffee is also on the menu as with any good bakery. It's further down in Avalon Park than most of the other stuff (where the Avalon Eatery and Pico de Gallo used to be located). It's good to see something occupy this space and the crowd on a weekend morning seemed to be good.I'd go again as it was good and it's local!

I'm someone that works from home and I'm so glad I live close to this place. The ambiance is perfect for working with my laptop. Glad they have outlets near the seats. The food and service are always great. Definitely one of my favorite places to go to work remotely.

Tried this bakery for the first time ever and absolutely loved it!Would give it 5 stars but compared to other Colombian bakeries I've been too, their chicharron portions were not as big for the price. Also, they don't sell them separately and only come with mini arepas which I personally don't like. However, they did discount me a bit for getting the chicharrones just by themselves without the arepas I fell in love with their corn arepas and their pan de Bonos were delicious! I also liked the diverse menu: lots of pastrie, desserts, sandwiches and smoothies. Really liked the ambiance as well, very cute and colorful! Service was great, friendly staff.

Great Colombian Cafe in Avalon Park in Orlando. Love this area and this cafe is perfect here. Since it was lunch, we were all about the sancocho de pollo - chicken stew and tamale. They were excellent along with the Colombian empanadas.We took home some goodies and look forward to trying them.All around great welcoming service and cute Cafe!

Excellent variety of baked items in the display case. Almond croissant excellent. Interesting beverages including a pink coffee drink. Tasty empanadas for lunch. Pretty surrounding area in Avalon. Friendly good service.
