Taza Halal Gyros

Love to find a good Greek/ Mediterranean restaurant. This doesn't do it for me. I started out with the Baba Ghanoush and followed with a Gyro.1). The Baba Ghanoush was fine. Had a nice smoky taste to it. The pita itself is very thin. Would be nice toasted!2) The Gyro was disappointing. Wish the meat was grilled more...like it was some of the pieces are grilled to crispy edges. It was also a little gritty...bone? Could have used more sauce. And just a suggestion...I saw pickled onions on the work station; they would be so much better than the boring white onions used!Will I be back? Not sure if there's really anything else I want to try. Probably just go further and hit King O Falafel. They have better options!

Dad's Lunch Adventure!!! New Spot!!!Stopped here right before the holiday's for lunch!!!The owner was engaging and was very personable. The staff that prepared my food were also very nice.I got two things and paid 25$, plus they threw in a free baklava for my first visit, nice touch!!!No matter what, I always leave a real talk review, but free food is always welcome, LOL!!!The food1. Falafel appetizer - the falafel was very good and traveled 10 minutes back to my place of work very well. The sauce with these was also very tasty. I would order again!!!2. The Gyro platter combo - It came with fries and a bottle of Soda. The amount of meat in the Gyro definitely supports the price of the platter it was worth every cent, nice portion!!! The fries had some kind of seasoning on them and it made them delicious. The gyro itself had a very large and light pita shell, loved it. The tzatziki tasted in house made and was very good. The lamb was super flavorful and cut off the skewer in front of me. I can't wait to have another one of these.The baklava was good, but definitely tasted pre made and vendor supplied.It was still good, but nothing crazy good like Agape Bakerys'. Was inpressed with freshness of preparation and size of portions. Onions were not listed on menu so I was surprised at some of the places they showed up, especially on the Kids' Beef Kofta plate. I'll remember next time.There was a bit of language barrier (owing to the authenticity of the owners/workers and my lack of a 2nd language) so I'll try to be better prepared next time. This first try wasn't what I was hoping it would be but I'll definitely give it another try!

I was staying at a nearby hotel for a convention in the area, and frankly I was tired of the fare that the hotel had to offer (re-heated frozen Pizza Hut offerings can only take you so far). So out to the strip I went to find something a little different, but still quick.The answer was brought to me when I came across Taza Halal. This is a small Mediterranean style eatery in a strip mall, but they definitely provide good food. There are a couple of tables with chairs inside for seating, and then a counter where you give your order. Food is made to order.I ordered up two gyros with all the trimmings inside (because why wouldn't you?!) and waited a reasonable amount of time for them. I know how long these take to make, and it was the right amount of time, so that made me quite happy. I did this as a take-out, and got back to the convention floor with them in hand... and it was great! They were exactly what I wanted, and they were well constructed and very flavorful. In my hometown we have a number of places that make them, and these gyros ranked right up there with the best place in my hometown. This convention occurs twice a year for me, and I will definitely be back again for their gyros!

So delicious, this place is a great spot we just so happen to come across. We also ordered grape leaves but we tore it up before I could think of taking a picture. Wow, those grape leaves were phenomenal. I told my husband, you know this is a good place when the grape leaves are fire and sure enough everything here was a 5 star hit. Loved it and will be coming back!

I ordered the chicken and the steak. Both cooked well, but lacked flavor for me. I'm a huge Greek fan. The restaurant has plenty of seating and the service was good. The cashier helped me choose my favorite food.

The food is just absolutely awful. Like the rice was very under seasoned. The beef was not cooked well. My buddy got a chicken shawarma wrap, it was mid at best. The only decent flavor in it was the pickle. I got baklava too, which is my favorite sweet in the entire world. It had to crunch to it. It did not seem fresh at all. Which really kills me since I love baklava. The service was alright I guess? The girl definitely didn't seem like she wanted to be there. The interior seemed uninspired. I'll be real, this was probably the worst food I've gotten in a while. If you like authentic Arabic or Mediterranean food, don't come here. I'm not sure if I've just been blessed with friends that are great cooks, but the meals I ate with them during Ramadan after they broke fast are just so much better than whatever this was.

Food was amazing! I ordered the gyro, it was massive and tasted so good. Meat was authentic on the rotisserie style cooker and the peta bread was thinner (which I prefer). Would definitely visit again next time I'm in the area and would even go out of my way to eat here. Service was quick and everything came out fresh (made to order). The place was super clean - all the tables wiped down, bathrooms clean and tidy - and the ambiance was very open and sleek. Highly recommend!

Amazing all the way around. Great food. Lots of variety. Staff is courteous and friendly.
