They make you feel like family the moment you walk in the door. We both ordered the special, which was fried chicken with 2 sides and a drink for $11! The fried chicken was freshly prepared to crispy, golden perfection! However the Mac n cheese was bland; the noodles were so over-cooked that they were disintegrating and the flavor therefore was very watery. This place deserves a better Mac when everything else is so on point!!!I will definitely be returning regularly.

I've tried the food here twice and the food was fresh and hot. It looks like they have a local following because there was a line. I had the chocolate cake which was very good. Oxtails, rice, and Mac-n-cheese were good. The cabbage was missing some flavor. I will go again to try the fried shrimp.

You walk in , order at the counter, and they call your name to come get it when it's ready. Served piping hot. Tasty. Spacious place with lots of tables.

The food is always very good and the fried items are cooked to order so they're always fresh and crispy.It's self-service but if you want to dine in, they can bring it to your table.It is a modern quick-service restaurant so there's not much ambiance but it's clean. The food makes up for anything missing.

Great service and even better food. I always stop by when I'm visiting from PA. The pork chops, fried chicken and shrimp are all flavorful, well seasoned and juicy! I always have the green beans and that southern man and cheese! Stop by if you're in the area!

I came here thinking that I was going to get the shrimp boil that I loved so much the first time I came here. Something told me to try the fried chicken. I am so glad I did!The chicken was perfectly fried and uniquely seasoned. Juicy and flavorful! And it was a great price! Less than $8 for 2 pieces and two sides. You can't beat that for a good 2 piece fried chicken dinner lately.The sides were just okay if I'm honest. I got baked beans and fries. The fries were fine, but I wouldn't be excited to have them again. The baked beans were interesting. They have the flavor profile of candied yams. So if you like sweet baked beans you're in for a treat.I look forward to trying some of their other sides next time I'm in the area.

This is the place to visit in De Land! So good and the people are so friendly and welcoming! The fried chicken was so juicy and the smother pork was tender. They even sang Birthday to my parent in law! You know you in a good place when they treat you like you family.

This place is unreal. There is nothing like piping hot homemade food. The prices are incredible and the service is amazing.

Reminds me of my Grand Parent and Parent Meals. Everything i have eaten is Delicious. Ox-Tails are the Best. It would be great to have Ox-tails on other days other than Sundays. Overall, the Service is Great. The employees are professional, the owners are over and above.
