Delicious authentic Szechuan food. The hot and sour soup was the best I've ever had. Service was great and we really enjoyed everything.

This place is great! Very cute inside. The staff is so sweat and helpful. It feels like you are eating with family how much they fuss over you. The Szechwan pork dumplings were delicious as was the Mayo tofu. This is my favorite Chinese place I have ever eaten at. I will be going back.

The restaurant was nicely decorated with modern Chinese decor. I was really surprised with how fast the food came out. The service was quick & friendly can't complain. I will say they do accommodate spice level if you are not used to Sichuan spices. Personally I think they didn't make it spicy enough for me, but I did come with other people that don't eat spice well. I think they wanted all of us to be able to eat. I ordered the green peppercorn fish. I don't even like fish but the dish specifically I thought it was very refreshing. Not spicy, even though I would like it to be. They have an option between fish fillets or a whole fish. I personally don't like looking at the fishes head so I asked for the fish fillet and I'm really glad I did because honestly it didn't have that very fishy smell or taste to it. It was just very soft and soaked the flavor of the broth and peppercorn very well.I really only ordered the cucumber salad just in case everything was too spicy. Oh my God, the cucumber salad they put sugar on top of it which honestly I thought was weird, but it works if the dishes too spicy for you. The LaZiJi chicken it's a great dish. Again, I wish I was more spicy because the seasoning on the chicken would've paired very well with more spice. I just wish there was more chicken meat in the dish. I feel like there was more peppers to chicken ratio. The dry peppers were spicy, I think it was more of a garnish, which is why they should have more chicken.

Taste of Chengdu stands out as an exceptional dining option for authentic Szechuan cuisine. The menu has a delightful fusion of spicy and non-spicy options, every dish we ordered had a punch of flavor.Complementing the outstanding cuisine is the welcoming atmosphere created by the friendly staff. They were attentive and willing to assist with menu choices enhanced the overall dining experience. Came here for the first time with family for dinner and everyone enjoyed the meal. The dinner portions were perfect for a family style meal. If you can handle spicy I highly recommend the Laziji Chengdu Chicken and the Mapo Tofu, my favorites from what we ordered. But really all of the dishes we ordered were good. This location has a parking lot, so easy to find parking. The restaurant itself is pretty clean.

We were pretty much the only customers so I was expecting pretty quick service. Even so, I was surprised by how fast steaming hot dishes came out. The lady was quick and efficient. Every dish was a little different from the usual version: hot and sour soup had a tangier note with a sesame aroma. Dan Dan noodles were steaming hot and tasty young chow fried rice was flavorful yet clean tasting. Beef with hoisin sauce and general tso chicken was not as spicy as feared but crispy and tasty.

We went to Taste of Chengdu because of the amazing reviews and they did not disappoint. My party decided to try family style so we ordered a bunch of things. We started with the spicy wontons and pork wonton. Both really flavorful. We got to pick the spice level on the wontons so that was a plus. The sweet and sour pork ribs were amazing and super tender. The sauce was also perfection. The shrimp in orange liquor sauce was good, it could have been a little crispier. All the sides such as noodles and rice were good as well, we just wished portions were a little bigger but flavors were so good that was forgotten pretty quickly. Service is quick, food came out in the blink of an eye. The restaurant has recently been remodeled so it looked pretty nice. Glad to have made it here.

Sichuan, situated in Southwest China, occupies the easternmost part of the Tibetan Plateau. Its capital city is Chengdu and its cuisine is famous for an abundant use of hot peppers.Having recently listened to an outstanding Splendid Table (NPR) broadcast highlighting Mapo Tofu, I eagerly ordered the dish. Forgetting my only moderately developed spice tolerance, I requested a "medium" heat level. This was easily both the hottest and the finest Chinese entrée I've ever consumed, and walked that fine line between intense flavor and outright pain. But what a spice this was! It came on in psychedelic layered waves, like a resplendent ballet company pirouetting with strength and grace across my lips and palate. Unbelievable.

Is it Sichuan? Szechuan? Both? Learning Chinese is hard, yo! But learning to eat Chinese is easy! We've been wanting to go here since the remodel and closure. I will say the food was good, but it didn't wow me like the time we ate at the Baldwin Park location a few years ago.The menu is awesome with lots of pics of the dishes, which make it hard (or easy) to decide what you want, especially if you don't know what some of the dishes are. Other restaurants should take note. Pics sell! The Star of this night was the Szechuan Won Tons! We actually got 2 orders as one order isn't enough for 2 people, let alone 3. These are soooooo good and probably one of my favorite things to eat in a Chinese restaurant. The other food varied. The chicken with broccoli was what you'd expect... nothing special. The Hoisin Beef was good and had a nice char flavor that went great with the sauce. The beef wasn't as tender as I've had at other places, but it wasn't tough either. The Dan Dan noodles were disappointing. I enjoy Pei Wei version MUCH more than than this version, although this version is cheap at around 10 bucks. The service was good with Waters being refilled regularly. And the inside was more like a diner than fine dining establishment, which is what I thought we were going to. I wore a tux for nuttin'! *pout*. If you've been to the Baldwin Park location, you know what I mean.I probably won't go back as it's not in a convenient part of town. I'll probably go back to the Baldwin Park location and more than likely, Chuan Lu Garden which is a slight preference for me in the Sichuan Won Ton World!

In my opinion. This is the best Asian place. The spicy wontons great and spicy. The chicken dish is nice and hot and love the peppercorns that come with it and the beef cumin was great as well. Comes with sliced peppers, onions and celery but held the celery. The 3 are my dishes when we go there. Always taste great and staff is pleasant. A must try
