Taqueria Taco Riendo

Perfect hole-in-the-wall restaurant with amazing food! My family loves to eat here when they visit and I pick up take-out when I'm craving tacos.

We pulled up on a Wednesday thinking they were closed so don't let appearances fool you and check the hours; after eating here, we were confused as to why they weren't busy! We were greeted when we walked in and service is at the cash register so this is more of a quick service style restaurant. The restaurant itself has plenty of seating despite being in a small space, and is very cheerfully decorated. We ordered some flautas, steak and pork tacos, and chips and queso. There is a topping bar for your tacos with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and hot sauces. The chips and queso were delicious, and the flautas were also fantastic! I didn't like the refried beans as much as my husband did--they were on the thinner side and to me the taste wasn't what I wanted it to be, but the rice was good. The flavor of the steak taco was great but the cubes of meat were too big in my opinion. The real star of this show was the tacos al pastor! Super tender and delicious!!! If Yelp had a half star system, I would definitely have given a 4.5 but since they don't it feels necessary to round up to a 5, because overall this place is a winner! We will definitely be back!

Very authentic Mexican restaurant they make the tortillas in restaurant which is very rare the place was clean the ladies were very nice the tacos were just what I expected full of flavor great experience

Ok. Normally in Yelp reviews I take a bunch of pictures, write a ton about the service and the ambiance, etc.Taco Riendo doesn't need all that. Because it's 100% legit. It's my favorite taco spot in Central Florida. It's deliciously simple and unbeatable. All the tacos are outstanding and the real deal. You can get cabeza and lengua, if you know what you're doing. But the asada, pollo and al pastor are amazing, just in case you don't wanna venture too far.And once you get your tacos, or sopa, or however you prefer comida Mexicana, there's a self-serve cold bar of grilled onions, cilantro, radishes, limes, raw onions and several bad ass salsas for you to adorn your food with. Pile it high. And sweat while you eat.It's absolutely perfect just the way it is. And a key piece of the surprisingly deep Apopka secret treasure trove of cuisine.

OUR FAVORITE LEGIT TACO SHOP!We have been going here for over eight years! The food is authentic, you walk in knowing you are going to get great food.I LOVE the rolled tacos and my husband loved anything carnitas and my kids usually do a boring quesadilla but even that is great.They have a small self serve area with fresh and grilled onion, cilantro, peppers, sauces, etc.It's owned by such a nice woman who I adore and her kids work there as well, I love a family run restaurant!They have fun drinks, popsicles, the whole thing.They open super early for some amazing breakfast options and stay option late.If you're going to support a small biz, this is a great place to start, the owners are truly genuine and appreciative of their costumers and take pride in their food. 10/10 !!!!

I always hold hope to love Mexican restaurants that are independently owned and run. I read the reviews carefully and held hope that the recent reviews were being unfair. I had the horchata. It tasted watered down. Not my favorite experience. I also had 2 steak tacos. As another reviewer wrote they are absent of flavor. Very sad.I also had 2 chorizo tacos. Slightly more flavor but nothing to cause me to return.Sorry to say this gets my FVLV flag... that's first visit is my last visit.

I was craving tacos one night and decided to check this place out. We came about 40 minutes before closing time. There were still a few people inside the restaurant eating. Its your typical hole in the wall taco place. We ordered 3 tacos; one chicken and two carne asada. We also got a side of rice and beans with carne asada burrito. The carne asada was very dry and chewy and the chicken was also dry. It was lacking flavor and it did not hit my taco spot. We were able to get our own veggie toppings and sauce to top our tacos. I had a higher expectation since they have 4.5 stars on Yelp. Customer service was alright.

Taco Riendo is a hole in the wall taqueria on Orange Blossom Trail in Apopka, Florida. It is the kind of place you could easily dismiss and drive by, but if you were to do that, you would be missing out on some fine tacos.I ordered three tacos, the asada, the cabeza, and the chicharon. While they were small, they were also only $1.50 each. This also allowed me to try two more tacos, a pastor and a chorizo. Out of the five I tried I would have to say the cabeza and the chorizo were my favorites. They had a little area with onions, cilantro, sour cream, grilled onions, and several kinds of salsas. I found the salsa to be good, though none stood out as spicy.This is a good spot to grab a quick meal. I recommend here and will be back.
