Not enough words to describe this wonderful Mexican restaurant. The service is spectacular!!! The staff is so attentive and kind. Had the many experiences here and each one was amazing! The food is the star of the show. Superb flavors and true authentic Mexican cuisine. This is by far one of the tastiest and beautifully presented food. My pictures were from takeout. My husband and I were in the mood for some Mexican food. We moved to Lakeland a few months ago so we came to Yelp for a recommendation. Tapatio's was the closest so we decided to check them out. I'm so glad we did because we had nothing but a great experience from the moment we arrived. The staff was sooo sweet, and the place was very clean and welcoming. Everything we ordered was fresh and delicious tasting! I got chicken fajitas. The chicken was so tender and seasoned well. The vegetables were sliced thin and properly caramelized. My husband got their enchiladas. Which he loved too! He always ends his meal with flan. Which I generally don't care for, but decided to taste theirs. My husband wasn't thrilled I suddenly loved it and was moving in on one of his favorite desserts.We ate here less than a week ago and we already want to go back. Which is a real testament to the quality of their food since we rarely return so soon to a restaurant.... If at all! If you've never eaten here before, check them out! Great service with a lot of love going into their food.

While the Southside Tapatio's location has closed, the OG location on Memorial is as good as ever. The staff bring fresh chips and salsa almost the minute you sit down. It had been awhile since I'd been here, so the mariachi band might not be new, but it was new to us but added a lively, if not a (little) loud at times, vibe. These shrimp tacos though? Stellar. You can get them with corn or flour tortillas (I did two flour and one corn, I'm a gringa what can I say I like flour tortillas better). You can also get them with lettuce and cheese OR pico. Go pico! It was fresh, with lots of pinion and cilantro flavor that balanced the grilled shrimp flavor. Massive shrimp and they didn't skimp in them, each taco had at least 4-5. The chipotle sauce that comes with it, it all just works. That and a drizzle of fresh lime juice?? I don't know the Spanish word for awesome but that's what they are!
