First of all, it's expensive really expensive second I made a reservation online and then when I brought my daughter they were like no kids allowed and I'm thinking to myself. What am I supposed to do? Leave my kid outside, expecting me to find a solution to your problem, and then they let me in anyway. Since all the servers are Japanese, you expect some kind of Japanese manners. I lived in Japan for a long time, so I know what's expected. This Japanese lady told my daughter to shush, and that wasn't the first time we've been there. The second time, everything was overly priced. There was a tip included, but they had the audacity to ask for more. The food was already $500, and they wanted another tip on top of that. It's the most expensive restaurant in Disney World, not just Epcot. It's okay to go there once, but I don't recommend it. I'm not the smartest person alive, so I'm warning you ahead of time. If you go there, please have a really good reason or just go somewhere else. You'll be all right. The food was good, but not the best. You can't really mess up Japanese beef, and it's a five-course meal. They start with a nice salad, and then they bring out the main course. The server was really nice, but is it worth $500? I don't think so, especially since they're also rude to your children.

My mom was visiting town and I decided to get a reservation at Takumi tei to try it out. We hadn't been there before and were big fans of both sushi and omikase experiences so we were very optimistic. Upon checking out the restaurant, we were immediately greeted by someone who is incredibly friendly, and it didn't stop there. The entire team at Takumi Tei is clearly devoted to service and creating a positive experience and they took very good care of us the entire night. The restaurant is decorated beautifully with each room drawing from a different element in Japanese culture. The presentation of our first dish was adorable: it was in a clear sphere almost like a terrarium, and it consisted of delectable crab and a nice refreshing salad. Also on that plate we had some edamame, some ikura, a soy gelatin, and some lovely glass noodles. This course was almost like snacking. Next came the nigiri course with 3 delectable cuts of fish. Each had a seasoning on top that was a lovely pairing. After that was a lobster tempura with a dipping salt and a sauce. This was the best tempura I'd ever had between the freshness and the crispness. It did the lobster proud for sure. After that, we got a sashimi course! Now I love sashimi, so this was one of my favorite parts. The sashimi course had 6 generous pieces of fish and it was some of the freshest I've ever had. Next, we had our main course. We were given 3 options for this course, so I chose the wagyu beef. This beef melted in my mouth like butter. The sauce with it was a little sweet for my taste, and I wasn't crazy about the potatoes (they were starchy and a little underseasoned), but the mushrooms and pearl onions were excellent too. Next came a nice miso soup with mushrooms which was delicious and perfect to wash down the heavy steak. Last, we had a choice of dessert, so I got the chestnut creme brûlée. It was a little bit savory for my taste, but good none the less. The tea ceremony finished off the meal nicely.Overall, I enjoyed our visit so much. We had 7 courses and were so full. The food was all excellent, and the service was the best I've ever had on Disney property. I'd definitely return to takumi tei. At $250/head, it isn't a cheap spot by any means, but it's worth every penny.

We went here for $250 per person omakase experience. I'm not sure if $250 is the right price but me and my wife both enjoyed the food and the experience!

Had to cap off our Walt Disney World trip with some top-level dining at EPCOT. Read a lot of great things about Takumi-Tei and its $250 tasting menu, so I made a reservation as soon as it was available!I really had no idea EPCOT could bring food on such an elevated level! The tasting menu was as good as it looked on the menu! Started with an assortment of five appetizers, the best part of which was definitely the crab legs and uni. Next up was the sushi course, which was solid. After that was an insane lobster tempura, which was fried really well and went well with the matcha salt that it came with. Sashimi course was solid as well. Best part was the A5 wagyu, as I felt like this justified the cost of the meal. They said it was 3 oz, but it was definitely more than that! Had some great miso soup and dessert to round off an excellent meal.Service was absolutely fantastic! Our server took care of us extremely well. Never felt rushed at all, and the timing between each course was good.Ambience in here was great. The restaurant wasn't really that full to start, and the tables were already spaced out. Was really nice to be comfortable in here.Great experience at Takumi-Tei! Definitely worth it for a meal at a Disney property. Not sure how much I would rate it if it were just a restaurant outside of Disney. But I was definitely not disappointed, at minimum.

My party of 5 had a reservation for Friday night at 6:15PM. Reservations are highly recommended. We were greeted promptly and were brought to our table. It wasn't too crowded or loud either, so it was a huge difference from being in the heat and surrounded by so many people. I appreciated that the environment enhanced our meal in a way, from the music to the service given, it was a really nice touch! When I heard it was omakase, I was expecting us to be sat where we can watch the chef make our pieces, but we were all sat at a table instead and the server would bring us our dishes. Be prepared to stay here for awhile, as it's 5 courses. We started off with the chefs selection of appetizers. The presentation was beautiful, I'm a sucker for nice aesthetics! It followed with the lobster tempura, sashimi, wagyu, miso soup, dessert, and a matcha green tea ceremony. I was stuffed by the end of the meal, and everything was tasty! The sashimi didn't taste as fresh as I'd like, and for omakase, it wasn't as much sushi as I was expecting. The lobster tempura was yummy, they included a buttery sauce and yuzu salt. The wagyu was also good, it was super rich, so I'm glad the portion for that wasn't huge. I chose the strawberry yuzu sorbet for my dessert, so happy I did! I'm normally not a sorbet gal, but the combo with yuzu really complimented it well. While everything tasted delicious, I don't know if I'd come back again. The price is extremely steep for what it is. I guess I'm a bit spoiled coming from NYC, we have many omakase spots for less than $100. I wasn't necessarily blown away, but I'm glad I got to experience this!

Had such a great experience here. I came in the the expectation it would be expensive and have a premium. It's in Epcot after all, and to get this quality inside the parks is a great option to have. Entrance is in the Japanese pavilion, on the right hand side. Once taken inside, you will be explained the different elements and then taken to a room based off the elements in the hallway. We ended up in the Earth room. Our waitress for the evening, Rena, was great and did a great job clearly explaining the dishes, drinks, and even some light backstory on a couple of the items that made it a good learning experience as well!

I didn't get photos of everything I was too distracted eating this food lol. When you arrive the workers are so sweet! When you go inside they give you a little tour of the front and explain what all of the rooms are and what they mean. We dined in the water room it was beautiful I'm not sure if they offer other dining options, we got the omakase (non vegetarian) meal which was 250$ per person. (Not including drinks) They started with sushi, which was amazing I wish they had a cooked option though, I'm not a fan of raw fish at all. They were able to give us Japanese A5 wagyu beef for some of the rolls as we requested them to be cooked, they weren't bad! It was interesting to say the least They give you about three more dishes before you get to the wagyu and roasted duck options, they were all amazing! We tried ALOT of sake options, they were surprisingly really smooth They made us a little thank you card and origami at the end, the server she was super sweet I wish I got her name. But all in all I'd definitely recommend trying this place out, if you like raw fish 10/10 I'd say if your not a fan of sushi or raw fish do not waste your time going here it's mostly raw

At this price point, the food didn't blow me away, but service and special dining experience almost made up for it. The staff was extremely kind and efficient. We never felt rushed, and their timing on clearing plates/bringing each dish was perfect. 5/5 for service. The food was honestly a 3.5/5 for me. We got the kiku omakase. The appetizers were not my cup of tea. The lobster tempura was great but not mindblowing, and the sea bream sashimi was quite chewy. The wagyu was delicious but the black sesame paste that went with it was not for me. The best food item was nigiri, specifically the striped jack. It was so smooth, silky and bright. The miso soup was basic, and the desserts were just alright. Our server made our matcha tableside for us, which was cool. She even wrote us handwritten origami notes because it was our anniversary, which was so sweet. We got a complimentary drink at the end as well. Our dinner was enjoyable, and they made sure to make our night special. I wouldn't recommend coming for the omakase ($250 per person), but maybe for the experience if you're up for it.

Food 4.5/5 (wasn't in love with the bean curd skin but I did eat everything) ! Service 6/5, Ambiance 5/5. I loved everything about our dinner. Did the omakase. It was expensive (aren't they all) but definitely a dining experience. I couldn't believe we're still in a Disney Park. We had been transported to another world at Takumi-Tei. Service was impeccable.

An absolutely breathtaking experience! My server was so nice and hospitable, and the food was incredible. I highly recommend the A5 wagyu beef, as it melted on my tongue. But that's not to say that the other courses weren't amazing! This has to be my favorite dining experience of all time at Disney. 10/10 highly recommended!
