Okay i'm not going to lie..when I first ate at Taco Kat i was NOT a fan. I thought the tacos were mediocre and lacked flavor. BUT I came back to give them another chance and was not disappointed! My friends and I came on Tuesday which meant the tacos (beef & chicken) were $2 as well as the margaritas! I opted for two chicken and one beef taco. The beef taco was a bittt greasy for me but really tasty and filling. The chicken taco was on point though! It was juicy, had lots of flavor, and was packed to the top with chicken and toppings. We added chips and queso and lemme just tell you..delicioussss! You can definitely tell that the chips were made in house and provided the perfect crunch to pair with the soft shell tacos. I liked that there was an option to make your margarita a skinny margarita because that is my preference! I got the strawberry margarita which was great bc it wasn't overly sweet and was really refreshing on a sunny day. For $2 per taco and marg..i have to say I will definitely be coming back!

I've gone here for $2 Tuesdays and love the vibe. You can eat, drink, and be merry for like $20 or less. HahaMy go to is the chicken tacos (no sour cream) and passion fruit margaritas.One side of TacoKat is a restaurant and if you walk through the soda machine after 5pm, you'll enter their club/lounge space.The wall around the doorway is decorated in Jarritos soda bottles. There's cute little phrases that scroll across the top of the bar on the club side.The drink menu can be found on a can (of beans?) located at the bar.I can definitely say I love the service and personality of the folks on the restaurant side more than the bartenders in the club.

Omg you guys the chicken quesadillas.... I will get this every single time. The margaritas were pretty good but the food.... Chefs kiss! The employee at the counter was so nice and answered all our questions as we had never been there before. The little restaurant was deceiving as it appeared small but when we asked to use the restroom we had to OPEN THE SODA MACHINE as it was a secret door! That was the coolest thing ever. The corn elote stuff was delicious too so don't skip that!

I had been wanting to check out Taco Kat for a while now but I don't get downtown often anymore. We were down there for Immerse and decided to check it out. It's quick service where you order at the counter and there are about ten tables inside. They have the basic items you'd expect, tacos, chips and salsa, burritos, etc. I got the nachos and a pineapple lime agua fresca. My BF got tacos and a soda. Prices were very reasonable, especially for downtown. They had $5 margs that looked delicious but I didn't try, next time! Our food came out quickly and we were able to find a table easily. It was still kind of early, about 9:30pm but i'm sure it gets busy later at night. We enjoyed our food and would visit again!

More than a taco restaurant, this place has a speakeasy bar/club to bring more fun to your night life! My friends took me here for me to try their tacos, and I got to say, they were delicious! I had the basic chicken tacos with a strawberry margarita. My drink was ufff, strong like coffee but then I had a passion fruit drink that was delightful. And we had some churros too, with cinnamon, warm and very tasteful. But the highlight of the place was the bar behind the scenes. In order to go to the bar/club or bathrooms, you need to go through a bending machine. That's right! The entrance is camouflage with a drink bending machine making it very unique. The bathrooms are called "Litter Box" which made me giggle, since it matches the name of the place.

Decided to try this spot on a Tuesday after seeing it on Instagram. They have an amazing deal on Tuesdays for $2 tacos and $2 margaritas. The tacos did not disappoint! I had the chicken tacos and they were delicious. The meat was cooked well and these were just overall great, basic tacos for the price. The margaritas were nothing to write home about, but I tried the classic, mango, strawberry and passion fruit. They are a great deal for $2, but I wouldn't come here specifically for the margaritas. This place does get VERY busy on a Tuesday so I would advise to arrive early if you want to find somewhere to sit and to avoid a long line to order. Their indoor seating area is small, but they do have some tables outside as well. The girl who took our order could not have been sweeter and was very efficient. She made us feel very welcomed and answered any questions we had. Our food also came out correctly as I had requested some customizations.I would highly recommend this place as it was a great deal for their Tuesday specials and the food was yummy. We'll definitely be back again and will take some time to check out their attached (and "secret") bar next door.

Sonoran tacos were delicious. Had a ground beef cheesy style and a chicken Sonora style, yum. Had a beef burrito, filled to the top with beef, onions, cheese, guac and beans, again yum. An excellent mangonada and a pineapple lime Agua Fresca, slurp. Order at the counter and they call your name to pick up. Litter box ( restroom) is through the soda machine. Small.place with a few high top tables and some.outdoor seating on the sidewalk. Good place for a quick tasty lunch

I always enjoy Taco Kat when I come downtown.This is a speakeasy and bar/club with a quick service taco restaurant attached. I've been to both and it's a great time. This time I came for the food. The prices for food and drink are pretty affordable. They have computers where you self order and then pick up at the end of a counter when they call your name. They have a pretty limited menu, but do a great job with the items they have. They also offer alcoholic drinks too. Keep in mind the bathroom is in the nightclub which can get a bit hectic because there are only 2 stalls in the ladies room and its very cramped in there. There was an issue with the grill and it took a bit longer than usual for me to get my food this time. I waited patiently and eventually got my tacos. They were so kind, they comped my order because it took so long and I hadn't even mentioned the wait.Great place for a bite to eat or a late night snack when going out.

I really like it here. I thought the line would be too long because of the great deal on Tuesday ($2 tacos and $2 margaritas) but it wasn't. We waited for about 20 minutes or less--I ordered on the kiosk. There is an option to order at the counter also. This place is cashless FYI. The food and drinks were ready quickly. We were able to secure a table outside. The food and margs were really great quality for that price point. I would visit again. I have been recommended to try the nachos and elote. They have a club on the other side. The bathroom is called The Litterbox cute.

My friend and I planned to meet on a Tuesday evening. After 6:00 pm, the metered parking is free so I parked around the corner on Rosalind. Walking in there was a line waiting to order and I realized there was a $2 taco and $2 margarita deal on Tuesday! They have counter service with a simple menu so after you order, you can wait off to the side. The seats inside were full so we sat outside. There were a few taco options and 5 margaritas options. I tried the chicken taco, chips and salsa, a passion fruit margarita and a strawberry margarita. Everything I had was great! At the price it cannot be beat (even on the non Tuesday price)! The food and drinks were also ready quite quickly even though it was busy. I can't wait to try Taco Kat again!
