Taco California, where have you been all my life? This is, hands down the best Mexican food I've had in Winter Haven. We had the Carnitas quesadilla and Pastor tacos. Fresh, bright salsa.Fast, friendly service.Run, don't walk. You won't vibe disappointed!

Place has everything you need , good service , good food and good prices .... When you accomplish all that is no wonder to easy get 5 stars , the tacos are authentic Mexican style and good portions , definitely a gem in the middle where there's not that many Mexican places to go to ... seating is small but comfy

Spent the weekend in Lakeland & decided to try this spot for dinner. You know the tacos are going to be good when you walk in & you have to walk around to find an employee. Service was quick & the food was delicious. The tacos were perfection, the mangonada was the perfect sweet & spicy blend & my son enjoyed pulling apart the cheesy quesadilla. 10/10 I'd come back!

5 star! This place doesn't look like much. Its nestled between a bunch of odd shops in a strip mall; the dining area is small with just 3 or 4 booths but the food is amazing and absolutely Authentic Mexican. Just like their sign says "no fake food".We visited Tacos California and ordered the Breakfast Burrito with bacon and green salsa, the elote cup and a horchata. The hostess at the counter was very friendly and made us feel comfortable. She brought out our food when it was ready, nice and warm. The aroma was delicious just like every bite that followed. We also tried the elote. First time eating it prepared this way (not on a cob) so the texture was different cause you're missing the step of biting into a cob but the flavor was good and included all the toppings of mayonnaise, cheese and chile. The horchata was perfectly prepared with a nice amount of cinnamon. We definitely plan on coming back to try more of the options they have on the menu. They also have fresh fruit smoothies and fruit cups.

Food was standard Mexican food, and you have to pay $2.50 for a water. No where to sit either. Pick a different place.

What a gem! I had steak tacos, beans and rice. Excellent! I will be back for more choices! Clean and friendly. And the food was hot. I'm coming back!

I really wanted to like this place especially after reading the reviews. But, the burrito I got was missing the sauce and had the bare minimum of veggies for the veggies burritos. I think they maybe should update to real healthy beans rather than refried beans. Their take out food is not put in any container just wrapped up and they need to double or triple wrap as my burrito was leaking and falling apart within minutes. It also had a distinct cardboatd taste plus the tortilla was paper thin which may have caused the burrito to fall apart. Disappointed in this place did not live up to the hype and had no spices and no flavoring. Overall a major failure with no taste. But the service was good and they had a clean bathroom & dining room

I could spend less money for more food and better quality at Taco Bell! Steak Burrito? Supreme taco? Breakfast Burrito?Below basic in taste, texture, and just overall quality. Supreme taco tasted like a Caucasian woman went to Walmart and thought she was going to make tacos for dinner. Breakfast burrito reeked of a dog food scent! Mainly potatoes may I add.... As for the Steak Burrito? I couldn't even FATHOM HOW A CHEF!.... could even wrap that up, sear it, and bag it without a second thought?!? I didn't even eat it... I picked a piece of meat off of it and it tasted STRONGLY OF MUSHROOM! As to which IM ALLERGIC (nothing was stated in the menu about containing such) Welp we will see if I land in the ER tonight ‍I am astonished such a place has such high ratings... clearly this places reviews reek of uncultured easily please swines. If there was such a thing as negative stars I would give it. As for ambiance? They vinyl wrapped their counters and it looked tacky and cheap as it was peeling off in the corner. And nothing matches may I add... even for a hole in the wall, you'd think there'd be some aesthetic cleanliness to such a place with high reviews... guess not .

I am genuinely surprised at how bad this food was. I got 3 burritos; 2 steak and 1 breakfast burrito. The two steak burritos taste like they came from Taco Bell, probably worse. The breakfast burrito is insanely dry and is made up of 80% potatoes. It should be called a potato burrito. Seriously I'm blown away at how bad this food tasted. Complete waste of $55. Only reason it gets 1 Star is for the agua frescas. If you're thinking about going here, save some money and just go to Taco Bell

Being from San Diego CA, folks this is the place you've been looking for! They call it a California burrito- known back home as a carne asada burrito they have pico de gallo with chips
