Tabla Indian Restaurant - Oviedo

The food here is fresh and CLEAN,And the lake makes it a SCENE...Beautiful atmosphere and super NEAR,Love this restaurant Naan, best all YEAR,Always a great spot, Tabla gets 5 stars and best Indian Spot in Oviedo.

It is a nice atmosphere but admittedly the food is priced quite high for what you get. I got a plate of vegetable rice but it was nearly $20. Yes, it was delicious but if I were not as limited in options I would not feel good paying $20.00 for a bowl of veggie rice. The bowl was of decent size, but still small enough to eat in one sitting. It was more like a side dish. They have a vegan menu but the menu items are not 100% as described (I originally ordered a dish which said it has tofu, and was served in a chili sauce but it is actually only cauliflower and the sauce seemed more sweet and sour. No protein in the dish - which is what I was looking for.) My friend who ordered butter chicken stated that their food was good, but they also believed it was priced high compared to other Indian restaurants in town. Price is more for atmosphere in this case.Staff are warm, friendly, and understanding. I sent my (mislabelled) dish back with no problem. I really do hate to leave negative feedback given how great service was and how beautiful the restaurant is but I cannot bring myself to want to return due to the pricing and the concern that I could receive more items that are not as described. It is an insult to the chef to send food back so I'd hate to do so again.

We had the lunch buffet at Tabla. Their approach to the buffet is a little different, in a good way in my opinion: the appetizers are buffet style and then you order the entree. This helped with the quality of the entrees, which were all excellent. They serve the bread or rice with the entree. Appetizers were good.

The Chicken Manchurian, an appetizer, was seasoned and cooked perfectly. The choices for the Dal Bukhara were mild, medium, & hot. We chose mild and medium. The seasoning for the chicken Biryani was ok, but paled over the other choices. The garlic Naan was fantastic.... For dessert we had a generous Cassetta ice cream with cake, big enough for three people to share. Our server was Sai, and he was wonderful & patient, explaining all the menu items we were ordering. The restaurant is nicely decorated, too.

Great location, great service, excellent value . Tandoori was excellent and the naan did not disappoint. Very nicely upscale decor , several small gatherings by us and everyone seem to enjoy the spread.

I love Tabla Oviedo! The service is always excellent and my food never takes too long. Butter Chicken obviously stands out as a favorite here but don't shy away from trying something different! I LOVE the Tabla Curry and the Korma! Both are so tasty. Every now and then I'll got the Tikka Masala or the tandoori chicken too. My GoTo Naan is the garlic naan. So delicious. I highly recommend if you're up for something sweet getting the gulab jamun.

We came with another couple for the tabla feast. It came with a soup, appetizer, entre and dessert. So really a good amount of food for the price. Naan came to the table also. However the soup was bland, the chicken Manchurian was very good and we had the vegetable korma which had a nice spice to it. We also ordered the orange chicken which is Indo Chinese, the chicken was crispy and had a good orange flavor. Naan was delicious good ratio of crispy but soft texture.

Tabla is a modern Indian restaurant to the Central FL area with a few locations spread throughout the city. They offer traditional Indian dishes with a few fusion dishes as well including Chinese and Thai based infusion options. Had a chance to check out this location the other day for dinner. This location is awesome, beautiful modern upscale inside. Their outdoor patio area overlooks the Oviedo Park with a nice view of the water. Our server was great as well, very attentive and willing to provide expertise as needed on any of the dishes.We got a few small bite options including the chaat platter, chicken tikka and some garlic naan.The platter overall was pretty well, I enjoyed the pani poori and samosa chaat. The aloo tiki and bhalla chaat were just okay to me. I've had better at other restaurants.The chicken tikka was great. It comes out smoking and it's grilled over peppers and onions. The flavors were awesome and this was seasoned so well, the char on the chicken was just the right amount. I thoroughly enjoyed this.The garlic naan to me was lacking a bit, I didn't quite get the taste of garlic in it. I've certainly had better options in Orlando. The bottom line, beautiful location, pretty good food, good service. I'll also point out that every item we ordered did take a bit on the longer side to come out. I understand many items are fresh to order but even some of the simpler items like the chaat platter did take quite a bit of time to come out and we were also one of the few at the restaurant at the time so it wasn't like they were slammed. Overall I did like this location and would give them another shot and would like to try other menu items.

While visiting my parents in Orlando for Thanksgiving, none of us felt like cooking, so we decided to treat ourselves instead. Since my dad is vegetarian, we always do our research to find a place that can accommodate everyone, and we landed on Indian cuisine. What a fantastic decision!This restaurant is absolutely gorgeous, and the staff was outstanding. They took the time to explain each dish on the menu and even suggested combinations to enhance our experience. Their knowledge and attentiveness really stood out.The cozy atmosphere added to the charm, with a couple of families dining alongside us--it felt warm and inviting, perfect for the holiday. The servers made the experience even better, and I truly can't wait to come back.

Excellent food , spice level is just right , and tasty. everything tastes very fresh including vegetables. Wide variety on menu ,really interesting and delicious desserts , and very friendly staff!! Highly recommend!!
