Sweet Bakery

Sweet Bakery is an amazing Chinese bakery you NEED to check out! Located inside iFresh Market, this is one of the best bakeries in this whole area - and it's very reasonably-priced too! There are other Chinese bakeries that have tons of hype around them and they are WAY more expensive than Sweet Bakery...I think you're getting the best deal here by far. Don't let the look of iFresh Market on the outside deter you - it's a completely different atmosphere once you step inside, and in a good way! You should absolutely try their pork floss buns, and everything from their mousses, to their cakes, to both sweet and savory baked goods all look exceptional. I went here several times before when it was called Formosa Bakery (the previous owner's name for the bakery) and I loved it then just as I do now. The best thing is there is a fantastic Thai restaurant - Meng's Kitchen - right next to Sweet Bakery that you can get lunch at when you visit the bakery! Check this place out and enjoy!

I am currently pregnant and my only craving has been Asian food. I also happen to love pandan flavor and they offer these little pandan cream roll cake. Unfortunately, this is now the 2nd time I've stopped by in a period of 2 months and had to point out to them that some of their pandan rolls had little mold spots all over them. The first time, I gave them a pass and thought, they'll do better quality control. This time, I was just like "ok am gonna make this purchase and then it will be a hard pass". The only reason why I did buy things is because I am pregnant and craving it and a lot of what I purchased was individually packed so after careful inspection, I was ok with it. Still, when serving food, freshness and quality are key so after pointing it out to them twice, I really hope they do some major overhaul of their quality control. On a side note, some of these bakeries are premade and defrosted.
