Swamp House Riverfront Grill

As we walked in the front door, we loved the rustic casual atmosphere. The staff were very friendly. We began our meal with gator bites and green fried tomatoes. Both very good!! For our lunch we enjoyed the Mahi Rueben ( 2 each ) served on thick marble rye bread , 2 grilled fish sandwich, shrimp taco's, children chicken tenders ( great portion and quality). Busy restaurant and still attentive service. As we were leaving the restaurant, the managers asked how everything was. I told them very good. This restaurant is a definitely a must try!! Thank you for a great lunch experience!!! Oh, I almost forgot the killer coleslaw!!

2nd time here, and again very disappointing.The coconut shrimp was obviously a frozen vendor product.So, there went $14...and the fish & chips was ALL batter.No kidding- just tiny slivers of pollock in thick dough, like a donut.That, was $22 down the drain...i won't be back.

This place is fun and inviting for sure, and tucked away in the country far from the hustle and bustle of Orlando. Everyone is nice and kind and makes sure you feel welcomed. Unfortunately the food had left us a little disappointed for the prices they are charging. The size portion was okay, but everything was very bland. When we put salt on it it helped a little, but it just lacked flavor overall. Maybe if I tried something different my thoughts would be changed regarding the food. However with the prices I debate giving them another go.

Excellent food with a perfect river view! They have a tiki bar and general store out back along with a marina.

Don't be deceived by the dive-bar like outside. This place has everything a fish restaurant on the water should. I'm fact, I'd go as far to say this was probably the best mid-day boating lunch stop that I've been too. The menu had plenty to choose for everyone. Great selection of beers on draft and bottled. Delicious mixed drinks. Even a great kids menu. And service was spot on. Such friendly staff and great customer service. We started with the citrus marinated gator bites. Holy cow were they the star of the show. Delicious! And the tartar dipping sauce they came with, a little spicy and a little sweet, was unique and made for the perfect bite. Even my 10 month old was scarfing them down. We all ordered blackened fish sandwiches for lunch. It was a pretty big piece of fish for one sandwich. Seasoned perfectly and actually and very filling. It came with that spicy sweet tartar sauce again, which gave it even more flavor. All around a delicious bite. Mine was served with coleslaw which, while no frills, was still very tasty. I would 100% recommend this place and can't wait to return. It definitely hit the spot for a good boating day.

You didn't get near the amount of food as before, yet the price was a lot higher. Our server was shocked when they brought out my husbands catfish dinner. Two tiny fillets on the plate and we both reacted. The server was embarrassed and told the girl who brought the food out "this is not right". They did bring out a nice size fillet after that. Because of the prices so very high and a LOT less food, we won't be back!!! Our server was great though. Very attentive.

If your looking for a refreshing beverage with great atmosphere this is the placeOther than that, I would steer clear of the food , and service is inconsistent, fair warning stay away from Sundays unless you're sitting outside. This place can be much more with proper leadership, menu redo .

Stopped by for lunch while boating. Sat outside and service was absolutely terrible. Hardly came around. We ordered several appetizers like gater bites, wings, smoked fish dip. Gater bites were good and wings were "ok" and didn't care for fish dip...too weird of Smokey flavor. Ordered the grouper sandwich and it was so bad! It was like biting into shoe leather. We have been there before a few years ago and it was good but this time not so much.Also, they had 2 different menus...one for the outside and another for the inside which we thought was ridiculous! And we ate outside and didn't care for the menu out there. Not good.

I had The Big Swamp House Burger.. this burger was by far the best burger that I have ever had. It was cooked medium rare to perfection and the Swiss cheese was melted and gooey. The burger had an amazing char grilled flavor. Topped with LTO. I now know where to get the best burger around!! The new Mahi fish dip was awesome as well. The service was great and the waitress was friendly and attentive. Ambiance- We always love sitting and seeing the river. The restaurant is very casual and relaxed with great musical entertainment.

New Management is killing this restaurant. Prices are ridiculously high. Food continues to get worse. Service is hit or miss. Was seated and after 10 minutes had to get up and find the hostess. She informed me my server would be right out. A few minutes later he came to apologize and said he was trying to finish his lunch and was told we were just seated. If all went downhill from there.Burgers are the only thing consistent. Sweet potatoes look like an orange hockey puck, gator bites are 90% breading, chicken is most likely the lowest grade possible, no flavor and strange rubbery texture. Salad looks as if it's dumped out of an expired bag. Just do disappointing because it is such a nice area and could really be something big if it was managed better. Hours of downstairs is hit or miss as well. They might post hours but do not adhere to them. Very confusing for those coming by boat.I have lived in this area all my life and this once was a fun, happening place. Now it's like a last resort.
