Simple, unassuming, and unmistakably Japanese. This is not a poor interpretation, but a genuine translation of food you could potentially find in Japan. Albeit, still a more Americanized version, but still very true to my travels there in terms of quality, quantity and overall translation. For a counter fast service eatery, they create such a warm and friendly atmosphere with a little JPop bumping at a reasonable 4 out of 10 volume wise. Great food, with great company, with great service is a trifecta! Value is on par for its overarching attention to detail quality offerings. This is a must revisit for myself and the family when we are seeking a genuine Japanese meal much akin to the native experiences in actual Japan!どうもありがとうございます!

We went on a Wednesday evening and it was pretty empty so we got to order right away. You order & pay first at the cashier and then sit to wait for the food. Service was good. Portion size is relatively small so it's good to order a few to try different dishes.- spicy salmon don: 5/5 salmon was great & not really spicy. the marination was sweet and I like the chunks of sweet onion in it. - salmon kobachi don: 3/5 seared salmon with roes was ok, my fav was def the spicy salmon don. - fried chicken karaage: 4/5 lightly fried - udon: 5/5 simple and the soup was good. our kids loved it!- kichi don (cha shu don): 4/5 pork was tender and perfectly cooked. On top of rice with mayo- soft serve matcha ice cream: 5/5 so soft and matcha flavor was strong, which I love!

This is probably one of my favorite restaurants of all time. I've been here twice and had amazing, picture perfect food both times. I would recommend getting here right when they open to avoid a wait. I also recommend coming with a big group so that you can share and try a variety of dishes.I couldn't even recommend you a certain dish because it was ALL GOOD. I've tried probably half the menu and it was all 10/10. My only recommendation is to try something from their specials menu!

One of our go to local spots for Japanese rice bowls. Stopped by on a night I did not want to cook dinner. My son got the tuna bowl and I did the udon with shrimp tempura. We shared takoyaki. Food was delicious. You order your food at the counter and pick a table. They will bring your food out when ready. Good mom and pops place for a meal.

My expectations were instantly high when I walked in and saw a table of older Japanese men just chilling there and eating. The takoyaki and croquettes both came out nice and hot. I would get the takoyaki again, it was really creamy and the octopus chunks weren't too chewy. The croquettes were good but the filling of imitation crab and cream was just ok to me. Even though the sauce it came with was delicious. My friends and I all got the kaisen don since it comes with so many different types of fish. Looking at it, I didn't think I would get full enough but it was successful. The quality of the fish is super good and I can't wait to go again and try some other things, maybe something off of their noodle menu!

Don't know about atmosphere since there really isn't any. But what Sushi Kichi does have is awesome food at reasonable prices. Originally wandered in because I was lost and I'm very glad I did. Tonkotsu Ramen broth is thick and delicious. The thin noodles appear homemade. Paid an extra couple of dollars for four prices of chashu. Added a shrimp tempura appetizer and large beer. My daughter fresh from studies in Tokyo had ramen, chashu and gyoza and declared it delicious. The price was $66 between the two of us. Not cheap but worth the 35 minute drive. Offers specials written on paper taped to the wall. Order and pay first. Then find either a booth or counter seat. I plan on going back for the specials.

Great atmosphere, fast and friendly service, and good food at very affordable prices make this a nice Japanese place to try if you are in the mood for a quick, cheap meal. This restaurant is more like a single vendor food hall inside a strip mall. Located next to a huge Publix, it's easy to find and has ample parking spots. You order from a counter and wait for the food to be brought to you. Prices are very affordable at $10 - $12 per entree, but don't expect the same quality as a normal Japanese restaurant. The food still tastes good but lacks depth of flavor and ingredients. For instance, the curry had good flavors but no potatoes or carrots, which to me are a staple in any Japanese curry. Still, for the amount you pay, you get a good solid meal. There's Japanese show playing on TV and Japanese music playing over the speakers, so you'll get treated to a full Japanese experience.

Hidden gem! We tried the fried octopus and calamari, but the star of the table was the matcha ice cream. I've been to Japan, and this was the closest I've had in the States!

I ordered through their website. Curry rice with Chicken katsu added. It was SO DELICIOUS, I ate everything. The gravy wasn't too salty or too spicy, it had a very mild spice, white rice with little red pickled onions on the side. I have only ordered katsu from one other location nearby, this one is the best. I also ordered a small side salad & their dressing is also yummy, like a more peanutty ginger carrot dressing. The inside of the place seemed clean & simple & the staff was friendly. I paid about $20. Their to-go containers are paper, which I appreciate & say commercially compostable. Make sure to leave a tip!
