Summer Palace

The restaurant has really fine well bringing back the flavor and quality that I have come to know them for. Everything was delicious. I am happy to give them a great review and say that they are back in business.Based off of tonight's experience, I highly recommend them.

We ordered from here on Uber Eats. We ordered General Tso's chicken with medium spice level and it came with a side of white rice. The food was still steaming hot when we received it. The chicken was like any Chinese place but the spice level was very tamed down. It was a good size portion and was enough for two meals. It was about $18 per meal before tax.

So strange all these reviews with "how rude the lady was" well guess what she was very nice. And one of the only places that was open after the hurricane. So idk how rude she can be to be open right after a hurricane.We got soup which was very flavorful and great. The fried rice was also pretty tasty

Our food was fresh and amazing. Ordering Over the phone was easy and very friendly. The delivery driver was very kind. He made sure we had everything we ordered. Thanks Summer Palace for your great service.

Great pepper steak and fried rice. Service is always great even over the phone. Always fresh.

We were staying at Disney and used Door Dash. The food was fresh, still hot, and large portions. I would definitely recommend!

We have eaten at Summer Palace for years and I am sad to say today is the last time I will ever go there. They USED to be very good. I used to LOVE their food. THAT HAS CHANGED !!!I wish I had believed the bad reviews that I read. I didn't want to be unhappy with this food. We got 2 lunches. The prices have gone way up and quality way down. Lunch prices were $15.00 each. Both had a lot of rice, not much meat and very crunchy almost not cooked vegetables and it was very bland, almost no flavor. I called to let them know I was disappointed and the lady was very rude and SHE REALLY DID NOT CARE. I will NEVER go back.

I have been getting food from here for years. It is great. Well it's December 26, 2024, we just got our dinner from here and I have to say we were completely disappointed. Normally, I do not change a review but the food quality has gone down drastically. It's a shame because we really love Summer Palace.

*Do not eat here!*This is the worst place I have ever eaten in all of Central Florida. Immediately, when we walked in the lady was rude and dismissive of us. We were the only people in the restaurant. We placed our order and payed at the counter. By time we sat down the food was coming to our table, in to-go boxes and plastic cutlery. How on earth did they prepare 2 entrees in less than 5 minutes??The food was awful. The rice was completely flavorless and had freezer burn on the mixed vegetables. We ordered sesame chicken and beef lo mein. The beef was chewy and a little slimy. We could not tell what the sesame chicken was made of (pictures provided). It did have some chicken in it but the rest was a slimy goop. Couldn't even wash it down with water as they do not provide cups of water. We ended up walking out, leaving our food there. This place used to be so much better but it seems new owners have taken over and basically ruined it. I wouldn't feed that "food" to my dog.

This will be our last time going to Summer Palace. If we could do a zero or negative stars we would. Unbelievably bad experience. We called to pick up an order. We were told a certain price for the order by the woman on the phone. It seemed very high to begin with but we had friends over and everyone was hungry so we went to the restaurant to pick it up. When we got there, we picked up the food and brought it home. My wife noticed on the receipt that we were charged even more than what I had signed for and we contacted the woman on the phone. She said we were charged for "Uber" pricing and that was why it was more. We said why on earth would we be getting charged more to pick up our own order. She couldn't explain why we were charged even more after picking it up and it looked like she added a tip to the order which was not authorized. We told her this was not right and she began to scream in a way that we couldn't understand her. We mentioned that we will be sure to put this into a review and she gave us attitude about "well you can do whatever you want, I don't care". Obviously for those that don't want to deal with an unscrupulous business and horrendous customer no service, definitely avoid Summer Palace. Their average quality and overpriced food is not worth the hassle and grief and there are so many better Chinese options in the area.
